The two worst ones were from Adult FFnet, and an open LJ community. Though the Turtles one was on FFnet. It really isn't that easy to find badfic, even the stuff that is crazy tends to be really well written and justified. It seems like it makes the bad stuff tend toward the really bad.

And I for one know your name (although this is because you were the first or second person to greet me). I think you're ready, at least. Oh, and it's a writing sample. 'Everything' vs. 'A bit' - which sounds more sample-y?

I don;'t know much about the other continuums, but I do know a few Disney fics that are worth reading:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5492916/1/AbKingdombsbGenesisb (an odd, yet compelling story of a ...certain... traveller winding up in a world beyond his imagination...)
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1580546/1/bFantasiabbCrisisb- a (is finished with a sequel "Dark Storm Dawn"... but that hasn't been updated in ages.)
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3159333/1/ (I HIGHLY recommend this fic, as it is a truly epic tale)
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3401956/1/WelcometotheTragicKingdom">http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3401956/1/WelcometotheTragicKingdom (somewhat similar to the one right above it, but with well-written human OCs. Sadly, this one hasn't been updated for a while, either.)
And while I'm at it, how about some Kingdom Hearts fics? ...What? It's Disney-related!
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2903858/1/ThoseLackingSpines">http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2903858/1/ThoseLackingSpines (A HILARIOUS send-up of bad fiction that has to be read to understood.)
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3391314 (a great look at how Mickeywent from a simple deckhand... to a great king)
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2941935/1/ASorrowofMagpies">http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2941935/1/ASorrowofMagpies & <a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3097594/1/PastoralSymphonyinBlueMinor">http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3097594/1/PastoralSymphonyinBlueMinor (written by the same guy, these are very good, but do have considerable amounts of Purple Prose)
<a href="http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dhcjtmxn1k3rzkkfr">http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dhcjtmxn_1k3rzkkfr (Basically a fan concept of Kingdom Hearts 3 that's so good, you might wish it was a real game. Sadly, it's also lacking of certain details as well.)
Well, that's it for now. Happy reading!

... because the authors get bored, so with at least some of them there wouldn't be much to spork for each individual storyline. It's just keeping track of them and finding a good stopping point for each one that could be a problem.

So long as all of the awful characters down the various plot strands have been charged and killed, I don't suppose it matters where you go exactly, and what you leave out. After all, doesn't the continuum fix itself (sort of) once you've got rid of the thing that is warping it?
-
I'm sure there are some creative ways to do so. by

One idea is that the agents have to pick which path the fic goes down, but then have a disagreement about where to go next, so they get separated in the story, have to collect charges separately, then unite again for the usual charging and assassinating. It would be something different, anyway.

Or was, anyway. I searched PPC out of curiosity (Hey, you never know! Someone could've started one!) and was a bit shocked to find that logo on some utterly irrelevant (and poorly written) page or other. I think I said something, but never got a response.
It's not showing up now... but I'll keep looking. It could've been taken down by now, 'twas a long time ago.

You'll never hear me complain about that. The Harry Potter one might be interesting. Hmm, fandoms...
Well, depending on if you know them, I'm quite fond of Star Trek TNG, DS9 and Voyager, Shrek, Monty Python, most of the classic Disney films, Practical Magic, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen... and a lot more, but that's enough for now. None of those are fandoms I often (if ever) go and read fanfic for (often for fear of what they've done to my characters), so if you know anything good for them, do let me know!

Beats me how, though. O.o Um... maybe just pick a few of the worst scenarios and follow those until you have enough charges?

If we're talking about Sues (which would be either "you" or a sidekick), I can see an agent pair manipulating things so that the Sue gets the most painful ending. Or maybe they go through all of the threads, with repetitions and too-similar branches being glossed over except for the exasperation of the agents.
It would be whatever option is the funniest, really.

That sounds like insanity. Maybe they could use a variation of the thing that lets you kill sequel-Sues all at once.

Is it possible to spork Choose Your Own Adventure fics? by
on 2010-07-06 01:24:00 UTC

I ask because writing.com is riddled with them, and most of them are astoundingly bad in every one of their possible storylines. Would the agents have to go back and spork each story thread individually?

Right, I've decided that before I join in the PPC, I'm gonna try to interact more... but I tend to have trouble thinking of ways to start conversations. So I thought about it and then I realized, what do people on the Board want to see? Goodfic, of course!
The problem is, there are many fics out there, and I'm not exactly sure what everyone here likes, so how about this: you folks recommend a continuum, and I'll dig up some links... maybe.
But first, here's some to start you off:
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3735743/1/TheMomentItBegan - a good (if rather long) Harry Potter story showing how Severus Snape, when given the chance, is able to go back in time and turn his life around.
Here's some for any Gorillaz fans:
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2916773/1/RememberMe">http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2916773/1/RememberMe - a heart-rending take on what happened after... a certain event.
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3315543/1/AManOutOfTime">http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3315543/1/AManOutOfTime - an odd story giving us some very interesting concepts...
And one more...
<a href="http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4439578/1/KaijuMoon">http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4439578/1/Kaiju_Moon - a Sailor Moon/Godzilla/Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover (no, really) that manages to be enthralling and amusing at the same time.
That's all I got for now. Hope you folks enjoy!

As the others have said, Pads is inactive because - in her own-ish words, her 'writing brain is fried'. She'll probably be back whenever she gets inspiration again. But given that she's marked as inactive and has written a LOT more missions in the past year than I have, there's really no measure of it.
Generally speaking, if someone hasn't been seen on any of our community sites nor has posted in a mission in the past year, I'd consider them in active, but there's nothing to say that any or all of them won't pop back in tomorrow.

It's just an encylopedia-style listing, and I had no idea it was there. That bothers me. If I didn't want there to be any articles about my agents on the PPC wiki, I'm pretty sure that would be respected. I don't see why this is different, and iIf that strikes you as a double-standard... well, fine. I won't lose any sleep over it.

Beta request--Sherlock Holmes and Interlude by

I have a solo mission with Kelok going to this fic When gods wish to punish us Sherlock Holmes nothing graphic involved.
Headaches
And then there is an interlude with primarily Unger, but guest appearances by Miah and Cali.
Unger Takes a Walk
As per normal for me, I'm looking for help with spelling, grammar, style, and for the mission the technical facts of Sherlock Holmes and any British terminology that I have accidentally Americanized.
Both of the stories have HTML codes in line in some places, this is intentional as a help for when I post them to LJ.
I know I'm crazy, but I'm on a mission writing spree.

Oh well. I'm actually writing a 'Sue right now- a Bourne 'Sue- but I know it's a Sue and I'll never publish it, so no harm done.
Okay, that's not really helpful either. Sorry.

Pads is inactive because she said so. If she ever gets around to writing again, I'm sure she'll say she's active, until then, no.
It's hard to say if anyone is active or inactive because people come back after long periods of time or have missions ready when they pop back up.
Only way you can really decide is by someone saying so or coming to your own conclusions.

At what point is someone considered to be no longer active? Do they make a post saying that they're not going to be posting anymore, or is it after a certain amount of time has passed?
I'm asking because I just read Paddlebrains' User page, and was shocked to read that she isn't active anymore. I had been looking forward to her next mission, and it's hard to imagine that won't happen.
