Mukuro is... complicated. Technically he's an ally of the protagonists, due to a rather complicated series of events, but he's a horribly manipulative bastard who was at one point a villain, and it wouldn't surprise me if he became one again.

He's also easily one of the coolest characters in the show, and my personal favorite.

I can't tell from your post if you're joining us, or just stopping by, but either way, have a venomous arthropod!

I don't know the canon, but using a canon villain (I think?) to help take out a dangerous Sue, but then making them a greater threat, set this mission apart from most others, and made it a lot of fun to read.

'Cause, you know, if you don't tell me what you want, I can't do anything for you. {= )

I was beginning to think I'd never actually finish a mission, but my 4 year mission drought has ended.

Those who were around way back in 2006 may remember this fic, which was hilariously MST'ed by Boz4PM. Around about the same time I started to PPC it, got half way... and then left it for three and a half years. I've done my best not to steal too many jokes from Boz's MST, but may have inadvertently done so.

Tonight, I sat down and finished it, as my contribution to March Madness. (Hopefully the change between the two sections isn't too jarring.)

It can be found here. It hasn't been beta-ed as yet, and I'm sure there're a few formatting things that haven't come out in the wash html, but comments most appreciated.

I've just finished my first completed mission, which was only 4 years in the making!

After such a long wait, I sat down and finished it in one long (4 hour!) stretch.

(It's now 3:15 am, so I may well need more beta-reading than usual!)

No, actually I'd nearly forgotten the Manual existed. I approve of finishing it -- I'll even help, if I can find anything I can write which hasn't already been written.

We might need to update some of the lists -- I don't know if any new Departments have showed up since they were written...

I am in the US Coast Guard and just happened to end up there. Standing watches, mostly. However, it gives one a new take on the seafaring parts of books and movies about ships. More realistic.
