All my missions... by

... are still saved offline, and backed up a couple of times.
I'm also in the long process of saving off the DMFF missions and throwing them up on Livejournal, since their website went down a few years ago. I should get back to that.

Offline PPC book files by

I have been copying various PPC adventures to offline files, in groups of twenty-five. I would recommend that others follow suit with their favorite missions.
This is because sometimes a website folds and is not backed up on the Wayback Machine.

I can't recall if we've met or not. I joined April-ish last year. But hello, anyway. I certainly recall reading your name in older stuff. Nice to meet you.

Cos, I swears it, I've never come across this 'adult' concept before.
Thank God it's 'only' a theory ...

This person is keeping the same basic characters, same basic plotline and events, et cetera. However, it's being completely re-written: The characters are being de-Sueified, the plot holes are being filled in, and the setting is getting superimposed over the Generic Locations.
As one might imagine, the original author (who has a very thin skin and no sense of humor) is in a massive snit about it. As I hear it, she actually got the rewrite run off a fanfic site by crying plagiarism.
Having read both the original piece and what existed of the re-write as of when the Suethor threw a fit...the re-write is no more "plagiarism" of the original piece than this is of this.

Not so novel by

Well, it's novel if they take the actual fic, and keep the name of the OC and such.
I've done something similar. I took the plot of the fic, the canon characters involved and added my own OC. Currently working on something like that, except that I took plot where the CC is supposed to do something no sane person would do voluntarily. And I still haven't thought of anything good to coax hem with.
Anyway, a rewritten OC so it's no longer a Sue is less work for the PPC.

I think not automatically assuming someone is a newbie if we haven't seem them post a thread before and they don't say they're a newbie might be a bit more sensible.

Don't take this too personally- unlike me- but tact is highly suggested when the people shown as examples are named.
