I must agree. Who with one brain cell to rattle around in his or her skull would name a cat Polyester? At least that's what the female cat's name sounded like to me. *grabs Bleepka*

if it is a d&d crossover, then Mage!Harry is redund-wait, do you mean that he can cast spells like magic missile, or fireball?

Warning. This is not safe for logic. Logic will spontaneously combust and then explode if it comes into contact with this crossover. I am not kidding.

How could anyone think crossing a realistic universe in modern England with an anime universe in Japan is a good idea????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The warrior clans DO NOT have human-type technology!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That anime does. My faith in the human race just died, again.

I will not try to bribe a DoSAT agent to program the consoles of Agents I don't like to play the Barney Song.
-Or "It's a Small World".
-Or any other really annoying song.
-Even if I really, really don't like them and I don't mind the song in question.

I will not suggest that any group of orcs be given extra-large condoms and lessons on abstinence.
-especially within earshot of Agents who have read C***b***n.
-especially if the group of orcs in question lives in the Misty Mountains.
I will not introduce Túrin Turambar and Marvin the Paranoid Android.
-The combined angst could create a black hole.
I will not give Ron Weasley a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster and tell him that it's firewhisky.
-No matter how funny his expression would be.
I do not have the ability to cause Sues to spontaneously combust by glaring at them.
-Consequently, I will not sulk when this doesn't work.
I will not lock the Nazgûl in a room with nine Dementors and videotape what happens.
-Nor will I attempt to sell the footage of said event.
I will not attempt to club a hobbit!Sue to death with a potato. It doesn't work.
-However, a pot of potato stew does.
I will not set any number of mûmakil loose in HQ.
-Especially if I've dyed them pink.
-Or bright yellow.
-Urple is right out.
When newbies are within earshot, I will not pretend to argue with an invisible creature named 'Fluffy' about it not being allowed to eat people.
-Nor will I break off arguing, smile at the newbies, and ask them if they want to pet 'Fluffy'.
-Nor will I tell them that "She's harmless. Really. Who needs limbs, anyway?"

HP/LotR Crossover by

Well, that is most likely an Improbable Crossover, but it could work if you are really careful. I agree with the idea of keeping the Love Interest alive and him learning to live with her. If Harry is going to be an elf, please still give him weaknesses and dear Eru, don't even dream of having him learn weapons or languages in weeks, or even in months. *stabs The Inheiritance Cycle* They take years to get really good at. Harry would probably be really unhappy about not being part of the Fellowship, and dear Eru, no Tenth Walker to get around that. If you can figure a way to get him to the battles with Sauron, more power to you. I personally can't right now. Good luck and may the typo demons avoid you.

I have an actual, real-life, paying customer who sends me emails with proofreading requests in chatspeak. He doesn't write like that in the essays themselves, thank bloody gods, but it irks me to no end that he can't be bothered writing full words in an email to a stranger. *grumbles*

Dragonlance, like (most likely) every other D&D setting, is swarming with Canon!Sues. (And I include the setting which I've been working on under that heading...although my probable Canon!Sues had the grace to stay the hell out of the action most of the time.)

If you like convoluted plots, might I suggest Narbonic? Sure, its characters aren't so much morally ambiguous as explicitly and openly evil, but it's "pink-heart evil" rather than Xykon-evil. It has a number of similarities to Girl Genius. Currently rerunning with cartoonist's commentary.
You might enjoy Keychain of Creation, which I understand to have been directly inspired by Order of the Stick. It's based on Exalted rather than D&D, but I know next to nothing about Exalted beyond what's explained in the daily notes and I still enjoy it. ('Course, when I started following OOTS I knew next to nothing of D&D, so.)
... If you don't mind archive binging a whole lot, you might be interested in Irregular Webcomic. It's mostly a LEGO photocomic, and it has about sixteen different (mostly interlocking) storylines, but all but two or three of those have very strong continuity. Be warned, however: it's been updating daily with no misses since early 2003, and it's currently up to number 2297.
I want to suggest Adventurers!, but a very large part of it, even once it gets a plot, is joke-a-day. This is occasionally justified as sidequests, but not always. You might be more attracted to Antihero For Hire, by the same guy.

Kind of like how Zodfang (my Ork) needs a specific kind of Anti-Lustin to keep him from getting spores everywhere and spawning an Ork army in HQ. It's interesting, I just had concerns about a Tyranid being in HQ, similarly to how I'd have reservations about how well a Chaos Space Marine would fit.
