Is it necessary to obtain permission of any sort if you want to make an Agent change departments or divisions or such? Just wondering.

I think I'm losing faith in fellow BSG fanwriters... by

Just came across another fic where Bill Adama's a vampire. And he has a vampire daughter. And he's the frakking prince of Caprica City. What the frak???
I think I'll have to transfer my agents into Freelance or something because now I have three BSG fics on my plate. >.

Claim. Haven't even looked yet, but three fandoms I know all in one? A chance to get Agent Trojie into the Whoniverse? Sounds good to me.
*goes to investigate how bad it is*

You can join for free, though. You will probably need to say you are over 18, though, since I had to label the mission as having Explicit Content. The badfic that I sporked was basically a Warhammer 40K rapefic. Hope I have answered any questions you have...

The reason you haven't seen much of me posting is because I only really post on things that I know about. No point in making myself look like an idiot by posting on things that I know nothing about...
Check the records. I'm pretty sure I posted more than 4 things.
And as for the blindness, *no comment*.

How long have you been here? I'm afraid I don't recognise you - this may, of course, be a fault of my memory, but you don't seem to have been very actively involved in the Board - I found your name on only about four posts on the front page. The idea of a month-long wait before asking Permission, you know, is so that the PGs can see you've taken active part in our community.
On the other hand, maybe I'm just blind.

Whoot more 40K agents!
I can't seem to access your writing sample though, it wants me to join Deviantart.net first!

The characters might be the type to request it. by

The Flowers might allow it on grounds that it'd reduce the turnover rate. And even if they didn't want it, the stuff would be useful for dealing with the "quickly-gestating babies" that keep showing up. Just a thought.

I hereby request permission to make my own PPC missions. Here's the link to my writing sample...

And Agent Bios
Agent Zotz:
Age: Unknown
Species: Mostly human, standard Vindicare temple bio-enhancements.
Home Continuum: Warhammer 40K
Bio: Serious, hates daemons and xenos with a passion. Angry because he has to work with a Slaaneshi daemonette. Also hates Suvians, because his last mission before joining the PPC was to get rid of a Gary Stu who he thought was just an ordinary heretic leader. The Stu dodged the bullet, which killed the Mary Sue who was standing behind him. The return bullet from the Stu nearly killed him. He was brought back to the PPC, patched up, and paired with Agent Illixia.
Agent Illixia:
Age: 15
Species: Daemonette
Home Continuum: Warhammer 40K
Bio: Bubbly and bouncy. Loves Heavy Metal music. Spawned from the particularly depraved dream of a Mary Sue, who promptly forgot. Was picked up by the PPC and raised in the Nursery. Eventually paired up with Agent Zotz. Seems to actually like Zotz, who denies this. Knows almost nothing about her true origins.

Might it not be better to let them age? by

Just saying. There's no reason we should assume all Agents are basically humans in different bodies. Although of course it's up to their writers (and I certainly haven't been fabulous about differentiating my non-human agents).

I'd think so. by

It would be useful, as you said, for medical situations, and in any case I can think of at least one continuum that has age-slowing medication off the top of my head. Doesn't Larry Niven's Ringworld series have several variations?

Is it okay for Doc Fitz to make something to slow ageing? by
on 2009-01-28 17:38:00 UTC

The implications would be pretty difficult to handle and so if it is possible it would have to be strictly controlled, but it would solve the problems of rapidly-gestating babies a la Evelyn Eliza's sprogs, and it would mean the Mossflower-born agents don't age at four times the human rate. Besides, I'm sure there's something like it already in some continuum or other.

Harry Potter's great Discworld adventure
A crossover between Discworld, Harry Potter and Dr Who! Discworld's Wizardry is soon in trouble. Can the intervention of Harry Potter the unfortunate victim of a Stibbons magic experiment save it? And I'm sure this teacher called the Master is harmless

And I just like going through other people's stuff with a red pen. It's a dreadful habit, I know. But yes, I'll happily beta anything you've got. Don't count on the free time lasting though - I graduate in four and a half months.

I've been using Chrome lately as browser for whem I've come on here (on my laptop) and whenever I come on here, and then go to read a post, it'll pop up its little alert screen "THIS SITE HAS MALWARE ON IT" and such and end up crashing the browser.
