Chapter 2
Disclaimer: I own Chelsea and Lemon and NOTHING ELSE!!!!
___
Revenge of the Lemon
One sleepy night, Lemon was stewing in bed. That awful Chelsea, being that awful obstacle and making thay awful mess and making her waste such precious bread. The dammed squid even told her that the awful ink would vanish if you wait a few minutes! The nerve of that squid, thinking she could absolve responsibility of her actions! But now, Lemon is thinking of a plan, and it will be very sweet… FOR HER THAT IS!!! DUN DUN DUN!!!!
000ooo000 SPOOPY 000ooo000
One day, a beutiful Inkling girl slept like a princess on the couch. Her long beuatiful pink tentacle hair was opalescent like a pearl, but also still pink.
She wore what would be considered the freshest gear of Inkopolis and it also doubled as pajames. They were so beautiful that it cannot be described by mortal mean.s Who knew that such a gracfeul and beautiful squid girl was the very same Chelsea that made that awful pink stain on the floor.
A pale, yet equally beautiful rat girl loomed over the gracefully sleeping figure. She held a homemade lemon curd pie on one hand. “I will have my revenge.” She threw the pie but the sleeping squid did not get hit because she vanished!
“Hahaha what was that?” said a mocking voice from behind.
Lemon turned around to find that same beautigful squid girl looking at her with dazzling emerald eyes and Such a beautiful yet a mocking cruel smile.
“lolol nice try” The beautiful squid then rapidly shifted between the forms to make a blopping sound and rose from the ground and went through the ceiling.
“HOW???” bellowed the rat Lemon.
“I hacked the game that’s how”. the squid girl answered from behind the rat.
Then Lemon threw a pie at the squid but the squid hacked the game and the pie went poof before it could hit the beutigul squid’s face. Then Lemon thrw some morea pies and they all missed. Then Lemon threw a pie laser and even that couldn’yt hit her.
“HAHAHAhahaha foolish mortal cant even aimmmmmm” lolled Chelsea.
“But you are mortal” countered Lemon.
“I hacked the game, that makes me not mortal lol”
“RRRHUMMPHHH” the rat humphed bfore throwing a pie on the floor. How can the rat give the awful squid her just desserts now???
“Awww whats the matter [ERROR: TRANSLATION NOT FOUND]?” asked the squid.
“wat”
“[ERROR: TANSLATION NOT DOUNF]?”
“what”
“[EROR: TANSFGSTE—]” then Chelsea threw her translation device on the floor. “Woomy manmenmi squimememe—”
Then a pie crashed into Chelsea’s divine face as she tried to gracefully fiddle with her translator.
“GASPPP” gasped the rat. “I WON! I HAVE MY REVENGE!!!!”
“Nooooo” exclaimed the Inkling
To be continued…?

Jacques 3rd person POV
Jacques looked around as Zeb opened the door to the apartment and took of his shoes. "Nice place" he said and it was, the room was painted grey-blue and the floors were polished oak floors with tasteful soft furniture a comfortable sofa the same color as Zeb's hair and a scrubbed wooden table with wooden chairs with dull yellow cushions. It was cozy and denlike and a lot more homey then Jacque's stark modern flat with it's blacks and greys and whites.
Zeb blushed in embarrassement and smiled hanging up his leather coat to show of his lean muscled arms under the dark skin. "Thanks" he said "I try to keep it tidy even if I don't have people over too much"
"Why's that?" Jacques asked hanging up his own coat and Zeb's breath coaght because Jacques arms were so muscular and rippling with manliness and testosterone Zeb thought his Luxray senses would be overwhelmed with how desirable Jacques was.
Zeb shrugged "I have a friend whose a pilot and she and her daugher my niece aren't around too much" he said. "It gets lonely inbetween though."
Jacques sat on his sofa while Zeb brought them gin and tonics. He took his drink and sipped. "I hope I can come by more then."
Zeb blushed under his nut brown skin and sighed. "I hope you can too" he said and quickly added "but only if you want to!"
Jacques laughed and leaned foreward putting a hand on Zeb's leg. "I think I can't think of anything I'd rather do," he said and they pressed their mouths together kissing hot and wet and sweet hands tangling in eachothers hair as Jacques leaned forward his weight pressing down on Zeb and the two of them fell backwards onto the sofa drinks forgotten as Jacques claimed the pokemons in his mouth.
A/n: omg so they finally kissed!!! Thank you so much everyone who keeps leaving reviews you are what keep me writing!!! Next chappie comes faster with more reviews wink nudge wink wink ;) <3

BBC Discworld cast (& unrelated PPC art) by

ometime hopefully next year, the BBC will be airing a TV adaptation of the Discworld. Called The Watch, it's been described both as 'CSI Ankh-Morpork', a 'character-driven comedy', and as a 'punk rock thriller', so goodness knows what we're getting. It's set to be 8 episodes, and as of a few days ago, however, the core cast has been announced, and they look like this:
The link provides brief descriptions of the characters, which go nicely with the pictures to springboard my thoughts off. (I don't think I recognise any of the actors, so this is based purely off the photos.)
Sam Vimes, Captain of The Watch, disempowered by a broken society that’s reduced his department’s jurisdiction to almost nothing.
Dormer looks suitably grizzled; I can certainly see him working. That description... pretty much sounds like Early Vimes.
The mysterious Corporal Angua who is tasked with Carrot’s training and keeping the rookie alive.
gOsH i WoNdEr WhAt ThE mYsTeRy Is. ^~ I think Corlett's face looks suitably... I don't know, otherworldly? Definitely like there's Something Up. I've seen some complaints about turning her into a glorified babysitter, but I don't think that's what's happening here: I think Angua will get her own story just as much as Carrot did in Feet of Clay when training Angua. (It also takes a lot of the kinda-creepy-in-hindsight factor out of their relationship, which the books have between the Big Beefy Superior Officer and the One (Acknowledged) Woman. Yeeeeeah.)
Constable Carrot, the idealistic new recruit, raised by dwarfs, but really a human abandoned at birth.
Yep, that's Carrot. ^^ Sad that we've lost the 'Lance Constable' title, but them's the breaks. Hugill doesn't look like he'll have the proper tapering shape for Carrot, which is a shame, but I'm sure we can cope.
So, the top row come off pretty well. The bottom row have been a bit more controversial.
The formidable Lady Sybil Ramkin, last scion of Ankh-Morpork’s nobility who’s trying to fix the city’s wrongs with her chaotic vigilantism.
It's hard to know what they mean by 'chaotic vigilantism'. Is that just the way she occasionally points dragons at things, or are they going for a Bat-Sybil plotline? I could kind of see the latter...
One complaint I've seen that kind of stands up is that Rossi is both quite pretty and quite skinny. Book!Sybil is quite deliberately not. Taking a prominently not-conventionally-attractive character and making her the opposite isn't a particularly good look.
(And yes, she's black, which is a very good move in and of itself; but we'll come back to that.)
The ingenious non-binary forensics expert Constable Cheery, ostracised by their kin and finding a new home and identity within The Watch.
It sounds like we've got major compression of Cheery's story - her entire arc in Feet of Clay is about coming out as a woman in a society that subscribes to a gender unitary. Are they actually substantially changing this (either Dwarfish society as a whole or just Cheery's story), or just tweaking the language a little? Impossible to say at this point.
As for the casting: I think Eaton-Kent would be a good call even if they were playing Cheery as 'she' rather than 'they'. This is a role where you actively want someone who can play a convincing man, and then switch to playing both a convincing woman and a convincing in-between state. (Book!Cheery does both, the latter when she's nervous about how other Dwarfs will take her gender.) Though they're probably too tall to play a Dwarf properly. ^~
The wounded, wronged Carcer Dun, out to hijack destiny itself, take control of the city and exact a terrible revenge on an unjust reality.
Oooookay. Of all the people they could have chosen to play as an apparently sympathetic villain, they picked Carcer, who is a complete sociopath who kills for sheer glee. That was a bad choice. Granted, Pratchett painted a lot of the Watch's criminals as pretty heinous, but even Dr. Cruces was less evil than Carcer. (I would have gone with Edward d'Eath, the unhinged royalist who, in fact, tried to hijack destiny and take control of the city.)
As for Adewunmi, I can't really compare him to the book character, because they've changed the book character completely. The one obvious thing is that he's black.
Which makes perfect sense on the Discworld; Pratchett specifically says that it's a world where black and white get along just fine and gang up on green. But as had to be pointed out to me, if you look at the whole casting list, what you have is:
-Four white actors, who will be playing the police.
-Two black actors, one of whom will be playing a 'chaotic vigilante', and one an unhinged sociopath.
... of course, you could make similar comments about the other characters: 'of course they cast the alcoholic failure/bloodthirsty werewolf/fish-out-of-water/short, bearded axe-wielder as black!'. But the fact that both non-white actors are playing the two characters outside the law isn't a spectacularly good look.
Of course, all of this is based on very little information, and I will most assurely watch the whole thing start to finish. ^^ There's discussion of the writing and production team at the link way up there, and I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts.
To avoid taking up another post with it, I've also finished a sequel to my previous PPC artwork. This time the agents went into Disney's Peter Pan, and Constance made sure to check the disguises before they set off.
Then she took a moment to swap over who got which costume. She has no regrets.

I started reading Pratchett around the time of The Last Continient and Jingo, so I've got a strange thing where the stuff before that feels 'old', and stuff after a certain point feels like 'the new books'.
I think my favourite pair, and they are very close to back-to-back, are Thief of Time and Night Watch. Thief is nice because it's similar to the one-off stories like Pyramids and Moving Pictures, which I also like a lot, but is simultaneously a Death-Susan book, which are ostensibly my favourite.
As for Night Watch... I don't know, there's just something about it. Partly it's the way it lets us experience old, wild Ankh-Morpork again, after the series tamed it so thoroughly. And there's a feeling like the whole book is a well-oiled machine, with all the moving parts heading towards an inevitable conclusion.
I'll also throw an honourable mention to The Science of Discworld, which with its siblings is quite unfairly left out of the count of novels. All four of them, but particularly the first, carry on the Wizards' storyline, filling the long gap between Last Continent (#22) and Unseen Academicals (#37) that's otherwise only broken by The Last Hero. SciDisc 1 is also a fantastic tour through the history of our universe (whereas I feel like the science falls down somewhat in the other three, while simultaneously eating more and more of the book).

Thanks for the feather, the plushie and the sword.
I am curious, though - should I stab the plushie with the replica just to be safe? It seems like you're unusually enthusiastic to reassure me that you haven't covertly given me an unreformed changeling, unless that's supposed to be referencing some other in-joke, and changelings ought to be vulnerable to Celestial bronze.

Thanks for the, um, chocolate bark.
In relation to scheduling, it would normally be a block, but when there are massive holes in the timetable due to having completed subjects, as well as morning and afternoon classes, some of which aren't actually at my school, I can be unavailable for a difficult-to-describe subset of 6 am - 7 pm local time during weekdays.
And as for Young Wizards, no, I haven't really heard of it; prior to looking it up just then, the only time I had encountered it was on the PPC wiki.

What sort of wonky scheduling does your school have? Mine wasn't quite block scheduling, though it still felt more formal than college did.
(And related to the greeting, have you heard of Diane Duane's Young Wizards series? Some of the more recent content there has some scenes in Canberra.)

Er, hello everyone. I'm Aurora Morningstar, and if this introduction seems a bit formulaic, that might be because I'm answering the questions from ppc.fandom.com's For Newbies article. In order:
I've read through the Original Series, the PPC Constitution (especially the extended discussion of civility), the other wiki guidelines, and many of the posted missions, mostly over the last month or so.
In terms of fandoms, I believe that I'm currently most familiar with MLP:FiM, Harry Potter and the Percy Jackson shared universe, although I could probably read up on some others if necessary.
How did I find the PPC? I can't really remember; I think it might have been via the 'legolas by laura' TvTropes page during a web-surfing session.
Favorite agents? Honestly, I can't really think of any right now.
Other hobbies? Programming.
Optional personal information? I'm male, live in the city of Sydney, Australia and will graduate high school in about a week.
So, uh, hello everyone, and I hope that I can be a productive member of the PPC community. My reply timing might seem erratic because of bizarre school scheduling and time zones, so sorry in advance if I take a while to respond.
