I think it's a good idea! There are a few people in the Discord who I don't know pronouns for, which chafes at me a little. Plus, it'd avoid the awkward "actually I'm a girl" conversations.

[Discord meta discussion] Pronoun roles by

A few days ago, I reproposed the idea of having pronoun roles on the Discord and a bot to assign them. Since there was some support, I'm bringing the idea to the Board so we're not trying to build consensus on chat meta in chat.
Some folks want a way to indicate their pronouns in the Discord so people can easily look them up or to avoid confusion. Currently, the solution is to add gender markers like ♂ into nicknames, which is a hack and a pain to do.
A seemingly better option is to have a bot (there's a bunch of these running around the internet) that allows people to assign themselves. The only effect these roles would have is that, when you clicked on someone's name, it'd show a badge with text like "she/her" or "they/them".
It might be useful to add a #bot_spam channel or something so that interaction with this bot (or any others we add) is easily mutable.
Thoughts?

My email was present in the original reply, but for convenience it's skarmorysilver@gmail.com - you'll need that to give me permission to view and comment on the doc, I think. I'll send you a message once I'm out of the office so we're on the same page, OK?
Also, you had me at Yo-Kai Watch. I've had a fondness for those games on and off and though kinda lost touch after the second one, I can try to help with canon knowledge related to at least the first game!

Well, one prompt is in hq, the other one is in the yo-kai watch continuum. I added some links in the brief for certain things. I have a discord. It's QuantumMelody29#4281. By the way, what's the full email, so I can send the link/share the file, or should I send it via discord?

I know I'll most likely be just doing grammar checking, but if I may ask, what continua if any are represented or mentioned? It can't hurt to bring in some canon expertise, obviously, and in any case I'm always up for evaluating potential new recruits and providing suggestions for improving them. If you have a Discord we can use to chat, I can provide that via PM as well! :)

As much as I don't want to bring this up once again, I've had trouble with groups online before for a number of reasons, and I can say right now that serious offenses are not something to take lightly - heck, I've committed such offenses before, and the damage caused was so great that I was disallowed to return to the groups affected on principle. From what I read from Thoth and Ix's replies, a good portion of your previous actions would have warranted an instant banning in groups with different administrative processes compared to the PPC. I wasn't even aware of the Reddit incident until I read this very thread, but it doesn't change how unbelievably hurtful it was to the person targeted, no matter how you feel about it now. I don't know if they're aware of it either, seeing as they gave up on us out of atomic rage over a different situation that shall not be discussed, but it was way over the line on principle and again, I feel it would have gotten you insta-banned if it happened elsewhere. Attempting to deface the Board in a fit of irrational anger only dug you even deeper, too, and in fact I literally thought you were being told by a certain banned user to do so and worried that their influence of other people could still pose a threat even after they themselves were shut out (to be fair I was being irrational myself then, and I apologize to the community at large). Looking at all of this, then, it seems that the community would likely not welcome you back on the grounds of violating the PPC Constitution, though whether or not this warrants dropping the banhammer is for everyone else to decide.
4. The community will not tolerate any form of harassment between members of the PPC, whether it manifests as attacking, bullying, or pestering. Respect people's personal boundaries just as much as you do everything else about them. This rule particularly includes interactions outside of PPC community spaces: harassing someone by email is just as serious as doing so in public, if not more so, and will be treated as such. If you find yourself being harassed or bullied by another PPCer, please make the community aware! We cannot help with a situation if we don’t know it exists.
(From Section One: On Toleration And Its Limits)
Now I'm not in any position to make any big decisions, and I don't think I'll ever be able to do so for this community for multiple reasons. As it stands now, there are undoubtedly so many other communities online which may regard you as a blank slate and thus give you a chance to integrate into them better. However, and I know you may not like to hear this, the PPC isn't one of these because of what it's seen of you before simply can't be denied or forgotten, which is likely the case for any community member anywhere which has committed reprehensible acts against the very group they were a part of (and believe me, I would know... *shudder*). I understand and accept that you are changing for the better - I am too, for that matter - but my guess is that in the eyes of the PPC community, nothing can make up for the things that forced you to leave except simply no longer being a part of it.
Once again, other people and networks may not see you so negatively; I'm still willing to remain mutuals with you on Tumblr, for instance. Sadly, however, I feel like things are very much not in your favor anymore here in particular, and in any case I'm sorry to say that I think you are in the wrong here based on the PPC Constitution alone.

A while back, while Desdendelle was still in the PPC, you screencapped things he’d said, posted them on Reddit for people to mock, and then when I called you out, you played victim and said it was posted by somebody else under your name.
Bullying PPCers behind their backs combined with defacing the Board like you did doesn’t make me particularly sympathetic to you.

I don't have authority here. And ultimately I will abide by whatever choice the community makes.
However, were it up to me I would not allow you back. Were it merely some harsh words, that would be another matter, but what you did crossed... so many lines.
I'd like to trust you. I'd like to believe that you've changed. If the more forgiving members want to give you a second chance snd that proves to be the case I will be yhe first to shake your hand and celebrate. But as it stands I don't personally feel that I can vote to allow you back in good conscience. I'm sorry.

So, if anyone doesn't recognize me, I left about a year ago after having defaced the Board with gross pics, which was mainly related to a) my anger issues and abusive tendencies, and b) misunderstanding the situation re: another user, who I thought was being unfairly bullied by the community. After having interacted with said user for a long time afterwards, it is pretty clear that I heavily misjudged things, unfortunately. Still wish I could have actually helped.
Anyway, I've managed to get those anger/abuse issues in check nowadays - I'm in therapy, and avoiding stress as much as I can; it actually turns out a lot of this came from staying in a specific community which really wasn't healthy for me to involve so much time in. I also miss this community, so I'm... Maybe considering coming back?
Of course, that would entirely rely on a) whether I was actually formally banned back then, which I don't actually know (nothing about it is on the Board, at least), and b) whether I would actually get banned about it now. So... I guess I'll just let you decide on that.

I've heard of some of them before (I was going to mention Zombie Ass before I saw that you already did), but man, these are amazing. Sometimes the bad horror movies are even better than the good ones, I tell ya.
Someone should organize a party where all the writers of these masterpieces get together and try to write the script for the Ultimate Horror Trash Movie. (Speaking of trash, I can't believe I left out Tokyo Gore Police and Mutant Girls Squad! Those are true epics of trash cinema.)

I mean...possessed shark. Killer nuns and vampires. WHY NOT USE THE GORRAM SHARK?????
On a more reserved note, I can't help but think that the writers thought- halfway through the preproduction writing- that they needed something with sex appeal to attract viewers, and a shark wasn't going to do it. Thus, the vampire. And possibly the nun/s, if you go for that sort of thing.

I think my favourite, purely in terms of length if nothing else (feel free to make your own jokes about that comment), is the following magnum opus of cinema:
Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2
A masterpiece.
Here are some more:-
* Gore-Met Zombie Chef From Hell
* Monsters Crash The Pyjama Party
* Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things
* Bikini Bloodbath Car Wash
* Fertilize The Blaspheming Bombshell!
* Weasels Rip My Flesh
* Monsturd
* I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle
* Poultrygeist: Night Of The Chicken Dead
* Stuff Stephanie In The Incinerator
* Werewolves On Wheels
* Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things
* C.H.U.D: Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers
* The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies
* Chopper Chicks In Zombietown
* The Long Hair Of Death
* Zombie Ass: Toilet Of The Dead
* Let's Scare Jessica To Death
* The Cars That Ate Paris
* Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama
All, I assure you, works of genius.
This may, in fact, be a lie.

Hi! Welcome to the Board!
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "Fandom". I know everyone else has been assuming you mean you want to write stories set in the PPC shared universe (interludes, missions, etc), but on the off chance you actually mean fandom as in "can I have permission to write fanfiction with OCs" (possibly a la OFU, where extreme badficcers have to graduate to go back to writing): That isn't something we even pretend to have any authority over IRL. While there are a lot of PPCers among OFU authors, that's all done in fun. The PPC IRL, the writing community whose members have been responding in this thread and others, has no authority over who writes fanfic or how they write it, and doesn't pretend to, either. So, if you're looking for permission to write fanfic including characters you've invented...congratulations! You don't need it. You never did. Depending on your age, you can even post it on multiple sites, if you want (there's often an age limit of thirteen, for legal reasons of some sort).
What we can offer is writing advice, both on and off the wiki. There have been multiple writing discussion threads on the Board (probably thousands or more over the years), and there's a dedicated writing channel on the Discord server that sees a lot of action. If you want to talk your ideas over with people, you've come to a good place.
And if I'm wrong, and you do mean "the PPC" when you say "Fandom", wonderful! See the previous replies, and good luck when you get to asking :)

As someone who has obtained Permission relatively recently, let me give you some tips.
The PPC is as much a community as it is a shared written universe. So if you wish to start creating PPC stories, you have to become a part of the community as well. You can start by making an introduction here on the Board and in the Discord chat, where you share a few things about yourself. Then you can hang out with the community in the virtual space for a bit, give us a chance to get to know you as a person. And once most of the community is familiar with you, you can start trying for Permission. If that seems like a long process, don't worry - there's more to the PPC than just the stories, and the gang here is genuinely welcoming and fun to be a part of. Plus, you don't have to wait forever - I got Permission after several months of being here.
In other words, have a little patience. :) And do read the Wiki articles for newbies, they explain the process much better and in more detail than I just did.

Minh, I tried to say this to you before as subtly and nicely as I could (which might not have been much, since I'm not a subtle or a nice person, but I did try my best): your constant ragging on Discovery is getting really, really tiresome.
We *know* you hate it and think it's awful. We get it, we really do, even if not everyone agrees. But must you bring it up at every. Single. Available opportunity?
