I remember trying to do that a long while ago. Let me dig back the things I added back then, plus a few new ones (search for 'Part XXVI' with the engine to see the other ones added back then):

Character traits in the following entries may be exaggerated for the purpose of humor. {= )


- I will not tease Agent Thoth about his relationship with Agent Derik unless I want to become a splotch on the wall.

- I may not assassinate Jonathan Levinson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). While he may technically qualify as a Gary Stu in the episode "Superstar," he is still a canon character, and he gets better.

- A copy of The Monster Book of Monsters makes a terrible gift. If I give one anyway, I will accept full responsibility for the consequences.

- I will not show the Notary the entire List of Things I Am Not Allowed to Do in the PPC. True, if anyone can organize it and clean up all the redundancies, it's her, but it might make her brain overheat and explode.

So this is just a fun little idea for a project and I want to see how far we can take it.

Each one of us can submit ONE agent of ours as a fighter and ONE agent as an assist trophy.

We can help each other think of ideas for movesets if we want, so we don't have to rely on ourselves for moveset ideas.

As for the fighters that you start out with (for those who have played SSBU), I was thinking that we could do TOS characters (so Jay, Acacia, Makes-Things, perhaps the SO) and agents from some of the earliest PPC spinoffs, provided, of course, that their authors have long since left the PPC. And for DLC, maybe we could do Jaycacia Thornbyrd, Ebony Way, and some agents who have been struck from continuity.

And if I cannot control my curiosity, I will not press charges against him for loss of limbs.

Look, I get it. I can tell you hate Discovery, and I can tell why. I understand how frustrating it is to have a piece of media in a franchise you love flip off everything you love about said franchise, and I especially sympathize as a fellow Trekkie (I have similar issues with Star Trek Into Darkness). But maybe you could also focus on things you love for a change? I dislike Discovery myself, but you've been pretty... insistent about airing your hatred for it. I swear I'm not trying to dismiss your feelings or put mine first, but hatred can be exhausting. Why don't you start discussions about stuff you love, too? We're all here to have fun, after all.

In honour of the day, here's some cool Star Wars related stuff I've seen:

First up, have you ever wanted your own droid? Cos in a few months time you could build your own. Personally I'm not too fussed about the Gonk droid, but I'd love to have the R2 unit and Imperial mouse droid running around my flat.

Secondly, anyone who has re-watched A New Hope after seeing Rogue One will probably be struck by just how much Darth Vader's lightsaber skills have deteriorated in a very short time. This fan made video aims to correct that, and... wow, just wow.

Aside from one of my own shed feathers, have a Lyra plushie without any suspicious holes, a miniature working replica of Crescent Rose, and a diamond sword with Fire Aspect and Sharpness V!

The Dragon Prince is CG animated (obviously), but used a frame-skip effect in rendering as part of an attempt to feel more like traditonal animation. As you've noted, it doesn't work, it just makes it look choppy. This may be because A) traditional animation actually doesn't have a constant framerate if we're talking a about frame changes, as the number of unique motion frames allocated to the same action in the same amount of time can vary, and whether they're keyframes or tweens also changes things, or because B) it was a really stupid idea to begin with.

I strongly suspect that the only reason they're still doing it is because it means they have to render significantly less frames of animation, saving them quite a bit of time and possibly money on the project.

And for me it's a big but:

Maybe this is just my TV acting up, but the animation on this show, particularly character animation, is choppy to the point of actively unpleasant to look at. The designs themselves aren't bad, especially on the elf assassin, but (and this is especially prominent in fight scenes) they all seem to move around the world like they're animated by flipbook. There's no fluidity of motion in it. Say what you like about the animation in RWBY (and Lord knows I have over the years), but it's very flowing. This is very much not the case for The Dragon Prince.

Basically, I want to recommend The Dragon Prince, a Netflix cartoon series. One of the co-creators/writers/producers on the thing is one of the folks who did Avatar: the Last Airbender.

It's a pretty nice cartoon (it's on Netflix). The main things I like about the show are that the villains have complex, understandable motivations (in that they're not just pure evil, they think they're doing the right thing from their point of view) and that the show explores reasonably complex moral questions (which I'm not sure I want to go into too much for fear of spoilers). There's also plenty of funny character interactions to balance out the seriousness (and some general interesting bits like the elven assassin who can't seem to get around to killing anyone).

I'm not sure why you posted this, though. The video is fine for what it is, but I'm pretty sure we all get that you hate Discovery. If you're trying to persuade us to hate it, too, I'm here to advise you that telling us you hate it over and over is not the same as persuasive argument or critique. No, not even with cute scatological puns on the name. Impassioned ranting is fine for an agent in a mission, where the hyperbole is played for humor, but not so effective in discourse where you want people to take you seriously.

Personally, when I want critique of Star Trek and other sci-fi with a humorous, thoughtful, and balanced perspective, I turn to SF Debris. I have now watched his reviews of each episode of Discovery. I think he does a good job giving it a fair shake, but the plotholes and characterization issues are pretty massive, and it shows. He doesn't even outright state the problems a lot of the time, but it's clear nonetheless. His frustration is palpable by the end of the season, starting about when he finally breaks down and rips on the Spore Drive.

It makes me sad. The way he presents it, it seems as though they had characters and ideas that could have worked if only they'd given them a little more TLC, and they just didn't. Which sucks.

Sigh. I mean, really, is it so much to ask for a Star Trek project to be helmed by people who actually like Star Trek? Really?
