I've been greeted with "Good afternoon, ma'am!" at 14 by fellow students and got asked by a date if I was a teenager when I was 21. But everyone seems to agree that I look scary sometimes. Which is funny, because I'm literally the least threatening person I know. I just happen to have resting assassin face, apparently. : D
The PPC Shipfest: that time in March where we abandon our devotion to canon and instead devote ourselves to writing silly shipping fics of each other. (That's Boarders, not Agents - Agent badfics are a whole different event.)
Being written for the shipfest is opt-in only, and this is the opting-in thread. Sign yourself up, give a brief description for us to ignore (pronouns are very useful), and state any restrictions - but my advice is to limit these to your actual hard-line no-nos, not just preferences. The more scope you give people, the more fun it is!
You can also explicitly opt-out if you're worried, but people are pretty good about respecting the rules. Shipfics are generally capped at PG-13, so don't worry that there's going to be explicit stuff. Also, if someone demonstrates they're uncomfortable with anything, just stop it; you know this. :)
This is also the thread for suggesting ships! The more the merrier [waggles eyebrows], but try to give some spurious justification, otherwise you're just slapping names together at random. Don't propose shipping yourself with anyone unless it's canon or pre-agreed; that's kinda creepy. (Writing stories about you!ships suggested by others is totally cool, though.) I'll try to keep the Official Ship List up to date.
In about a week, I'll start up the story thread (maybe sooner if this thread warrants it). Until then, there's no harm in pre-writing a couple of shipfics once the people involved have signed up. If there's one thing I know about PPCers, it's that we're certainly an eager lot... >:D If you need inspiration, the last few years of shipfics are available on the Shipfest Archives.

Haven't got any particularly creative ship ideas this year I'm afraid, will update if I think of anything. Although... it seems the topic of dragons has come up an awful lot in the Discord chat the last few days, make of that what you will.

Let's see here. 33, been here Approximately Forever, she/her, leans towards the tall-and-slender side. Flannel and Doc Martens, long-hair lesbian (entirely here to be bi/pan for shipfest). When there's not a global pandemic on, frequently found rock climbing and/or doing circus arts. Founding member of the PPC Boy Band in 2008, still have the leather coat, although it's been re-tailored and/or turned into a corset.

Sadly, it's hard to fit words like "dysphoria" and "presentation" and "spironolactone" into the meter of Sk8er Boy. I tried.
However, yes, I think I'm crewing the corset ship, at this point- I have more than one, including one with actual boning. Corsets are surprisingly comfy!
I presently have two corsets, one of which I made myself.
Maybe there's more credence to this ship than previously established??
I did discover that the earliest Shipfest Corset might well have been Neshomeh's back in 2012, but that was part of the Boy-Band series (as seen in 2008 and 2013), so it doesn't count.
In fact there have been 26 shipfics mentioning corsets. For my own entertainment, they have officially been worn by:
Scapegrace has probably been in more corset stories than anyone besides Ixilyn (she's written at least two poems about them!), but somehow has never officially worn one.

It's been a bit since I've posted on the board, but I'm activeish on the Discord. I've posted some photos there in the past, but for a brief physical description in the style of ye olde marriage ads I am Tall, Browned Luxurious Haired, and A Chef Of Sorts. Aside from that, I'm your standard, (I'd call myself fairly good-looking) 20ish year old, and enjoy wearing both punk & prep outfits. True bisexual. I use they/them pronouns, and am fine being shipped with whoever/whatever/whenever. I'll come up with some ships a bit later ;)
I'm like 20, they/them, I can't remember my height except that it's short enough to be embarrassing yet not enough to be inconvenient. All else you gotta know of how I look is I'm Hot as Hell. And I've got real thick eyebrows and real narrow eyes like Brock Pokemon.
I wear real colourful clothes nowadays, bright pink shorts and white shirts and sunflowery hoodies and that. I've been meaning to get ahold of a few dresses of late but ain't had the chance to, but believe you me. I'd friggin rock them.

They bond over tearing into Problematic Media, share a wonderful meal cooked by Scape, but then accidentally insult themselves and each other so creatively and thoroughly that they pass out before the ship can go any further.
Also because I class Larf and Scape together as geniuses in the delightfully absurdist style of comedy I couldn't replicate if my life depended on it... which is why I won't be writing this ship. ^_^

Appearance: I tend to dress casual unless I have some homemade cosplay stuff on, which includes a can-tab gauntlet (Worn on the right hand), cape with nerf bandolier, and a single fingerless glove (Also word on my right hand). and I am always seen wearing a black fedora. ALWAYS.
Personality: I tend to crack jokes at every possible opportunity, and even a few impossible opportunities. I'm rather extroverted and quick-thinking, sometimes a bit too quick-thinking, often saying the wrong thing without realizing it. I'm also very enthusiastic about video games, and I love it when I can play with others who love the same game.
I'm also rather big into mermaids, so do with that what you will.
I can't think of any ships off the top of my head, but if I do, I'll be sure to bring them into port!

As for ship ideas, I've got two ideas from the Discord. Neither of the people have opted in yet, but I think that they will (and the context for these ship ideas is worth sharing regardless).
Idea 1: FourMoonsWatching either with, or piloting, a Humungous Mecha. This is based on her obsession with the show Bokurano.
Idea 2: Calliope/Salt (or, as they called it, "the Happy Cronch Crystal"). Calliope actually requested this ship outright, though that was back in July, so their thoughts on the matter may have changed since then.
Seeing as they crochet a lot, and, well, there are other uses for all that yarn...
Needless to say, I'm in.

I'm almost 23, any pronouns are welcome but they/them and he/him are appreciated. About 5'5", hourglass figure, pale as a sheet, short brown hair, brown eyes, and I usually have circles the size of Stonehenge under my eyes for some reason. I tend to wear fedoras and suspenders, and the occasional ugly tie when the fancy strikes me, but I usually lean towards a more androgynous style than straight-up masculine. She/her, pansexual, no preferences regarding kink but if you could refrain from shipping me with Voyd or Hanafuda I'd appreciate it. Long hair in what my mum calls dead-mouse brown and eyes that have a weird blue-green colour to them, akin to algae, again according to my mum. And she's got the front to wonder why I have no self-confidence. I'm six foot dead and seventeen stone and frankly look a bit like a frog with my belly hanging over my spindly little legs. I wear my hair down and my nails long and my clothing only when forced. I'm ugly and weirdly shaped and my fiancée will tell you that's not true but it's their fault for not going to Specsavers. I am weak and slow and frightened and I'm nowhere near as clever as I think, and I think I'm a complete shpxing idiot so we're off to a flying start there. It was a radio segment with the hosts sitting around talking about a news item that had to do with it (in Spain, I think?) and they wandered into the detail of the knives, among other things, and ended on the bit of "just imagine, you're locked up in a police station for [insert crime here since what I remember catching of what they said makes no sense], and suddenly...BAKAWWWK!"

Sorry. I panicked seeing me shipped for some reason clearly I should've been expecting it. Maybe because I ship Midnight/Ki no Shirayuki. Or maybe something in my brain wants to opt out.
Maybe when I'm less tired I'll figure this out, but can you add me to the opt-out list just for now? IDK why I panicked and it feels so stupid that I did. I'm sorry.

There's no pressure to opt in (the Official List is purely a list of silly ideas, and not even officially Official). If you change your mind later I can update the List again; and you're still allowed to write shipfics even if you don't want to be shipped.
