Actually commenting because you brought Sindarin into things...

  • "Mornedhel" is a very decent translation of Moriquendi, though set in the singular - the plural would be "Mornedhil" or "Morneledhrim". The Quenya term refers to all elves who didn't see the light of the Trees, which means Thranduil, Legolas, and Tauriel are all Moriquendi. It is not used of a race of D&D "Dark Elves". (Which isn't to say there can't be dark-skinned elves! The Noldor are several times noted to be darker than the other two tribes, so if you want proper dark-skinned elves a good bet is to make them Noldor-descended Avari. For the sake of a linguistic joke, they'd probably be the followers of Morwe.)
  • "Edwenor" is Edwen-or, "second-agental suffix". So I guess it would be "Seconder". It's not a great name, largely because the word it comes from doesn't sound very Sindarin (despite being, um, Sindarin).
  • "Leithiandir" comes from leithian-dir. Leithian is translated "release from bondage" in the title of the Lay of Leithian, and dir is "man". It's a bit long (though no more so than Galadriel), and I think it would probably become Leithiannir; it could work if he had a Quenya-speaking background, where -nd- in endings is more common.
  • "Thorontur" is a very near miss! It's thoron-tur, "eagle-lord", but the T would become a D in the compound. But "Thorondur" is perfectly fine, largely because it's one letter off both Thorondor and Thorondir.

Glancing through the story, it's not surprising that there's no explanation for how a "Mornedhel" wound up in modern Earth - the story only runs a few paragraphs after that revelation! Amusingly, there's also no proof that she even is one - Thranduil seems to have just looked for any text relating to dark-skinned elves and assumed it applied. She's lucky he's not calling her a daughter of Caranthir the Dark!

Basically, movie!Thranduil is hecka racist. We already knew that.
