Well, Nume is easy: Stinging nettle. It's not showy and can only be handled with care, and in Victorian floriography it signifies cruelty or rudeness—but also protection. It's a nutritious herb, and in folklore it has the power to basically do a Return to Sender on curses.

Everyone else is harder, haha.

For Ilraen I'm going with bluebell. It's blue. It's associated with loyalty, constancy, and gratitude. And apparently it can be used to make a glue that used to be used in bookbinding, so that's cool!

Gall, without spending too much time overthinking it, can be a snapdragon, because it sounds good. {= ) Also has a meaning of presumption, which also sounds about right.

I'd like for Derik to be something known to exist on Pern, maybe an Artemisia species like mugwort (attested) or wormwood (speculative; has floriography meanings of absence and bitter sorrow, but also "do not be discouraged"). On the other hand, there's a flower known as lionsheart that signifies bravery, and is also known as false dragonhead, which is hilarious. ^_^

As for Jenni, I'm absolutely spoiled for choice and I can't make up my mind. She's just, like, a whole bouquet of medicinal herbs, haha.
