Folklore about it is pretty much entirely positive, not to mention its seemingly plausible efficacy at treating depression. Weirdly, Victorian floriography gives it meanings of animosity and superstition, which makes no sense to me.

But then there are other wonderful herbs like echinacea, cardamom, bergamot/monarda, meadowsweet, willow, linden, yarrow, comfrey, rose geranium, melissa, maidenhair fern, jasmine...! And we can't forget camellia (tea)! {X D
