I am 90% sure that a sadist enjoys causing pain, while a masochist enjoys feeling pain. A sadist would write this stuff; a masochist would read it.

The story seems to be suffering from South Park Syndrome: it considers being random and offensive the same thing as being clever and humorously edgy. Sometimes it works. In this case, it most definitely does not.
