Heya! Take a bolter, a flask of mjød, and some Klatchian coffee. If you drink both of the latter two at once, you may survive with minimal ill effects.

One Angry Person is a fic that has a mean Lincoln Replacement Stu who goes around destroying his sisters' possessions and gets away with it. This fic's biggest issue is Stu!Lincoln.

We don't write missions based on numbers, we write missions because it's fun. So, first of all, we'd have to have an active PPCer who's into Loud House, and second of all, they'd have to find a fic bad enough to spork that they actually want to write a mission about. Not every badfic makes for a good, fun-to-write mission.
Also, the presence of fanfic doesn't necessarily indicate the presence of missionable badfic. My impression is that small fandoms (4,000 fics isn't really that many) tend to have a higher ratio of goodfic, or at least meh-fic, to outright badfic.
That said, if you've spotted some badfic that you think would make an entertaining mission, post it here! Make sure you tell us all about why it's bad, too. That way, you might get someone's attention. Just dropping a link with no context is really boring.

I know I said I'd put lots of battle links up here and I haven't. I either haven't had the time or have forgotten to actually get the links after the battle.
What I would suggest is trying the Random Double Battles Tier instead, while it may not have an entire team you'll be happy with, it does give you an idea of the tactics used, and can show off some Pokemon that otherwise don't get much competitive viability limelight.

I could have sworn we'd included enough mentions of the agents hiding behind trees or in empty rooms? I'll go back and look, though. (Didn't help that the Sue was way too preoccupied with showing up to bother describing the settings, either, but that's no excuse on the mission's part. ^^;)
The tent scene was honestly my favorite to write—even if it wasn't the best part of the mission.
Thanks for the review!

With over 4,000 fics on FFN alone and 0 missions, I think that we should start missioning fics from this fandom.

I went back and forth on whether to explicitly mention that incident and that I felt I'd learned from it. I ended up not bringing it up because I didn't want to reopen old wounds (with some other past incidents we seem to just not bring them up anymore for that reason).
I'm not sure that was the best idea, now that I think about it.

I know I made a serious effort on "review more" and "post more" initiatives, but then just about no one else took me up on it, and so my attempts to jump-start the place fizzled out.
Also, Ix and Patsy, sorry about not getting around to your missions. Things have been busy for me the last week or two.

when I've bothered to look, the span of thread post dates on the front page of the Board has usually been around two and a half to three weeks (it's currently at around three). There were times it dipped down to nearly a month, which got me concerned, but I didn't really say anything because I thought it was just me going "Are we dying?". And it's now not entirely clear that we're not.
It looks like several of us are concerned that the PPC is withering away, and so it's good we're saying it and trying to have a discussion about what to do about it.
It's also good that 61516 is participating in this thread.
(That was a poor choice of words, and I apologize.)

Okay, so my big comment is that you did an excellent job of cowriting. Too often, Cowrite Disease strikes, and characters end up rattling off half-page paragraphs to which their temporary partners flawlessly respond point-by-point. (Not that I speak from experience, hem hem.) This story doesn't do that - it feels like all three agents got the opportunities they need to respond and to comment. (The advantage of having one person write the two in a relationship - when they start talking only to each other, it's for valid reasons!)
That said, time for a flashback: remember all my comments about missions that sound like MSTs? Well... you didn't do that either! The agents were definitely more than talking heads, and I don't feel like you over-quoted.
The vestige of MST-disorder that I did notice is that I had a hard time connecting where the agents were to where the Suvian was. Partially because I'm tired, of course (always tired), but it didn't feel like they were occupying the same space. I didn't flag any sneaking around, or having to peer through windows, or suchlike.
I want to throw a particular highlight on the scene in the middle, where I did know where they all were - the whole 'spend the night' section. It was an excellent portrayal of the agents, and kept them firmly anchored in the physical world. I couldn't say whether it's the best scene, but it's certainly the one that stuck in my head.

You just survived an encounter with a Dark Lord of the Sith! That's something very few people can say, given that they've been ruthlessly hiding themselves for the last millennium.
So! What'cha gonna do with yourself?
-Tell Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon everything that's happened.
-Go full-on Evil: attempt to kidnap Queen Amidala and take her to Naboo yourself to buy a place in the New Order.
-Go back to that plan of selling yourself into slavery.
-Set things up so Jar-Jar Binks takes the fall for your betrayal.

Right, if you're doing this, you're going to do it properly. Get to your feet and get your best proclaiming voice out, and tell him this:
Matimo, Nossenehtar, nel ata nahtuval Eldar i Silmarillinen. Carni maicar Lestanóressë. Narwa rúnya i Londessen. Ar Russandol colë i Noldomír i Nárenna.
"Matimo, Kinslayer, thrice more will you slay Eldar for the Silmarils. Red swords in Doriath. Red fire in the Havens. And the Red-haired to bear the Jewel into the Fire."
You've just tarred Maedhros with the worst name his people have to offer, pairing it with the names his mother and his siblings used for him, and told him he's going to earn it at least twice more (assuming his suicide doesn't count). I don't know what reaction you're going to get, but you're definitely going to get one.
How did he react?
-He just fainted in shock.
-He seems to think I'm a deity and has fallen to his knees.
-He's threatening me in Quenya.
-He's laughing.
((I really wanted to directly quote the Doom of Mandos here, but apparently Quenya doesn't have the words for 'Their Oath shall drive them, and yet betray them'. This ought to do the job, though.
((There is a Sindarin version out there, which renders that line as 'I ‘waedh tegitha hain, dan gweriatha hain'. It certainly sounds ominous! ~hS))

You have had your very first encounter with a monstrously deformed prehistoric creature, and you're not dead! Good for you!
Now it's time for you to decide what you want to do next.
So... what?
-Try to escape the island with all the other people.
-Loot the place. Dinosaur souvenirs are fun!
-Try and tag along with the folks with the guns.
-Hide out and wait for the inevitable dramatic fight sequence.

(Oh, this is probably a good point to mention that Scapegrace recently pointed me at your 'Overabundance of Snrf' mission, which I'd not read before; I was actually skimming for information, but what I focussed enough to read looked good! If I have time and/or memory to do so, I'll probably go back and actually read it.)
I'm with you on the lack of responses to stories; I try to reply to everything I read, but I, uh... don't read much. :-/ But yes, people, it's very disheartening as a writer to get no response to your stories - it feels like no-one's reading even if they actually are!
The big issue with this issue is that it doesn't go away unless lots of people try to counter it at once. I've tried at least four projects to get more people posting by posting more myself (the Friday Forums were the most recent); it doesn't work when it's only one person making that effort. The reason the Friday Forums ended was that we were down to a couple of people replying, and no-one responding to them.
But the more people do their best to post more, the easier it is for everyone - because more posts means more that any given 'you' will want to reply to.
Right, I have work to do, and a game thread to continue - and probably a mission (or two?) to read. And two hours to do it all in. Up, up and away!

doc was the name I kept looking at while making the 'More candidates' lists. The main reason I didn't suggest him myself (other than having already proposed one - I'm not overly fond of the 'hS Is Controlling Everything' narrative) is that I feel like he hasn't been all that active.
But every PG we've got has had their inactive spells, so that's not really a bar if people are in favour. So yes, I support this.

On FAQs (input wanted, folks). by

A while back (2015 or so) I came up with an outline for how to fix up our moderately terrible FAQ situation. I think you were involved, Nesh.
I think this is a good time to revisit that. This is the plan I concocted; so far, it's mostly just placeholders and empty spaces.
PPC FAQ Recalibration
1. FAQ: For Newbies (partially-filled draft)
-This combines most of the old FAQ: For Newbies, FAQ: The Board (which has been removed), and pieces of the Guide to the PPC (also removed). It's actually mostly complete - the main missing pieces are the introductory questions ('What's the PPC?') and a section on the Discord.
2. FAQ: For Other People (empty outline)
-It's no secret that I hate our current FAQ: For Other People. This one aims to actually provide helpful answers for questions like 'What's a Mary-Sue?', rather than just ranting at people who don't like us. I've outlined what I think are the questions that need answering, but haven't written any answers yet.
3. FAQ: On Permission (current FAQ)
-This one doesn't need changing! It's been repeatedly tweaked to try and give the best answers it can. It's not perfect, but it holds up a darnsight better than the four named so far.
4. A trilogy on mission-writing and posting: the Slash-Sporking Guide (unchanged), Posting New Missions (unchanged), and Mission Writing Guide (needs expansion and eventual revamp).
-Initially, the Guide will need to accommodate mission-related information from the old Newbies FAQ. Ultimately, it would be great if someone revamped it into a proper guide like the slash-sporking one.
If anyone is looking for a way to help the PPC community, working on the first two drafts is an excellent place to start! If we can get decent FAQs put together and linked on the Board and Wiki, then new people will have a good chance of understanding what's going on - and PPCers will have an excellent resource for explaining what badfic is and why it's a problem.

...I do not support this nomination.
While it is true that Tomash has been very active and constructive in the Discord, he has been a mod before and was forced to step down due to a questionable incident (as hS pointed out). It's not so much that, however--that was a year ago, and his behavior since then has been very good--as much as the fact that Tomash didn't mention any of that at all upon accepting his nomination.
All that said, if there is sufficient support to reappoint Tomash as a mod, I will not block it. I will respect the decision of the community.
