Preemptively putting that out there so everybody knows that if a fic set in Japan features high schoolers drinking alcohol willy-nilly, it's a charge.

And neither are beavers and red pandas, all of which I've sadly seen in badfics set in Japan. Also, before any of us goes on to commit another instance of Bad Biology, true pandas are not native to Japan either.

Possibly you've read it; your wording implies you may not have, though it's on his wiki page (which you mentioned) so odds are you know about it.
It may not feature the Dok, but may I also recommend: everything else by Scapegrace? The characters and department are different, but her writing style and deft sense of humor are definitely present. Try the Notary and Wobbles the Clown (both searchable wiki pages). They have three missions, according to said pages.

Number eight, this time.
I don't know that I have much to say about it (for a change, right?) but I will say that I've been slowly piecing together some silly (but somehow canonical) interludes that will hopefully get finished and be put up in the coming months, and be enjoyed :) There are, as a hint, some AUs involved.
Come to think of it, there's also a less silly interlude with a brand new character! An archivist, even. That's also slowly coming along, as of about halfway through last year when I started it. Hopefully you'll be seeing that before too long as well, though it'll probably be at least a couple months.
~Z, offering enchanted pens as vaguely celebratory gifts. What do they do? Take one and find out!

Too bad the wiki doesn't have a comment section to comment directly on the agent's article, but I said it. The Cuppa spork is a blast because of his presence. Too bad said agent doesn't have more missions.

Yeah, the characters felt a bit off and there were pacing issues for sure, but not in the sort of hilaribad way that makes a good mission, IMO. The animation seemed good, so it's not the video equivalent of horrible writing. I just don't think it would be worth the effort to spork it.
Not to say that sporking a fan video could never be done—still frames and/or short clips could be utilized as "quotations" within the usual mission format. But, y'know, pick something really bad.

I don't think there's ever been an exact procedure described for how agents acquire their flash patches, but by the same token, I don't recall anyone ever having trouble getting one, either. They don't seem to be in limited supply. Even if they were, there's definitely nothing stopping an agent with some sewing, silk-screening, or other relevant skill from replicating the design on their clothes if they want to. They might get some funny looks from their colleagues, but hey, most agents are eccentric in one way or another. Coming off a bit gung-ho about their department wouldn't be that weird. {= )
... Well, unless it's DAVD, maybe. DAVD has a certain (undeserved) reputation. But it doesn't even have an established flash patch, so I don't imagine that's what you're thinking of anyway. {= )

People did, at some point in the past, actually use Linear A/Bysantine music notation/... to say things, and they left records that we might want to digitize, and so on - we can't really go back in time and poke the Mycaneans to use the Latin alphabet, for example.

Double Rainboom by FlamingoRich
The original video is gone, and the original synopsis with it. So: Rainbow Dash drinks a potion Twilight has been working on for years and years, and takes it into her head to do a "double rainboom". This wrecks Ponyville worse than the Parasprites did, and a crossover with PPG ensues.
My comment: Dashie acts more like Lightning Dust, and while I'm not that familiar with PPG I've been given to understand that they are OOC as well.

Ancient Greek musical notation
Linear A (untranslated)
Ogham, an alphabet made up entirely of tally marks.
Given all that, it's kind of hilarious that the purported reason for not including Klingon script was "research showed almost no use of the script for communication, and the vast majority of the people who did use Klingon employed the Latin alphabet by preference". Y'know... unlike all those people chatting in Linear A and writing Byzantine music. 🙃

Speaking as a Permission Giver, I'd advise you to wait longer than a month from now before trying for Permission. Based on the questions you've been asking, I don't think you've really grokked the nature of the PPC yet, and I would personally hesitate to grant you Permission until I see that understanding improve.
I recommend that you spend plenty of time reading (more? any?) spin-offs before you decide you're ready to dive in. You may also wish to avail yourself of the Permission Self-Check and use your level of comfort in answering the questions in it as a rubric for how ready you are to be writing PPC stories.
If you need spin-off recommendations, I have some! But keep in mind that most of those are older ones (because I am old), and some things have changed since they were written, such as how we define a Mary Sue and what we find acceptable to say about fanfic authors in a mission, so don't limit yourself to that list, either. Check out what's been published most recently, too—and give some feedback if the story is on AO3 or somewhere you can do that. That's a great way to get yourself in good standing with the community. {= )

I'd want to look it over before you post anything, and I'll just note right here that it's a bit soon for either you or Ki no Shi to make an attempt at Permission. We barely know you, and vice versa! And, well, it's spelled "Jenni" with an i. Easy mistake to make, far from the first time it's happened, but attention to detail is something we look for in potential PPCers, and missing it does make me more hesitant to let you borrow her.
That said, go ahead and email me or PM me on Discord with what you have in mind. I'm interested in any FicPsych-related ideas you want to develop. {= )

Is there a limit on the number of flash patches attached to an agent's "uniform"? by

An agent I'm planning out has a montsuki haori (haori with crest) coat with the dept flash patch as the mon. The montsuki haori would typically have two crests on both chests and one on the back, and some have extra two on both sleeves. If there can't be multiple flash patches, there's also a variant with only one crest on the back.
