Hey, don't feel weird about not being that into the whole fan fiction thing. I don't write it either. But this place is more about being part of fandoms and the elimination of the nastiness that constitutes Sues than about writing fan fiction.
If you do decide to get into the MST business, which you should, as it is very fun, you should have this bag of punctuation. You'd be surprised how often you'll need it.

I'd like to have 4096 as my RC number for Miah and Cali.
It's a nifty little thing. 64 squared, and 2 to the power of 12, and all those other superstar type number things.

The Killed Badfic list has a grand total of three stories, and they're all for Voyager.

I seem to be very bad about that sort of thing. I keep meaning to do it, but life's rather crazy at the moment.
Mr Eldritch, I have done two Trek missions so far - one for Voyager and one for the 2009 reboot. You can find the links here if you scroll down a bit to the "PPC Missions" header. Someday I'll get them all filed. (If anyone wants to file mine for me, they're more than welcome to! All the details are on that directory link.)
This reminds me - I want to PPC an Enterprise fic...

Announcing a bit of a hiatus by

Hi all
You may have noticed we've not been as productive lately as in the halcyon days of yore. This is because Trojie's RL has got hectic and Pads's writing-brain has decided to wander off to parts unknown.
We'll continue to be around the Board; we're not leaving. We're just going to be having a bit of a hiatus with the mission writing. It's been quite a few months now since we've been able to post one anyway, so we felt we might as well make it official.
- Trojie and Pads.

I'm going to be spending until midnight on the thirty first sitting back and waiting. 'Cause for the past year or so, if you subtracted mine and Trojie's posts, you'd probably find bugger all missions posted, for the most part. The odd one here and there. Good ones, sometimes, too, but still just odd ones.
So we're sitting this one out. Trojie might try to write something, but my brain broke in September, and that's why we've posted nothing since, and that's half of why it's seemed so quiet. Thank you all for noticing, and we'll be back when we've something worth posting.

Not really. We just sort of pick something to give the newbies and stick with it. For example, I like Tamora Pierce's Tortall Universe, and as such I also like the Raven Armory. As such, I give newbies items from the Raven Armory. So, no, I didn't use a random word generator. I'm not sure about everyone else, though. *shifty eyes* It's all in good fun.

Yes, there are Trek missions. I know for sure Sedri did one, with Sedri and Iza. And I'm pretty sure Trojie and I did one too. Are they not on the Killed Badfic list?

I hear you're the authority, so I'll run this past you.
My Computer Man says the disc he gave me will upgrade to 7 and is good for three installs. But it needs a legit Windows. I know mine's legit, and Ansela thinks hers is too. They register online, so... via IP address? We'd be registering it on each machine from the same IP. Would this work? What potential hiccups are there?

I believe it contains The Many Deaths of Marissa Picard.
You also might want to try the Department of Floaters.
Then there's a Star Trek mission by Team Phoenix, but...let's just say the paragraph breaks should be taken out and shot. In fact, it should probably be re-formatted and archived on the PPC livejournal for safekeeping.
