There. Somewhere underneath the giant heap of bunnies, you may find the actual writing. I'm uh, afraid that anything after the cursed chapter 3 got nibbled away by internet rats, however...yep.
I guess you'd be most interested in the anti-Sue ones, the attempt at writing a Voldemort's daughter fic well (I like challenges) and Hell Butterfly, for it is Bleach, and long, and not abandoned!

Really, welcome. It's nice to see you. Don't feel pressured to write MSTs or PPC missions if you're not interested, or even read the fanfics we recommend - it may be a bit odd, but you should enjoy your time here nonetheless :)

Welcome! Have a DMS Bumper Sticker - and LINKS! by

No chatspeak on your Bumper Sticker, though, as I'm allergic to it.
I know Neshomeh said the Links appear several times on the Board anyway, but I feel everyone should be offered them specially, as part of the welcome package.
Firstly, there's The Original PPC Series, which I'm assuming you've already read. Linked up top here is the The Board Constitution, and there's an FAQ For the Board if you have any questions on that front. Another very useful page is the List of Everything PPC. Please also take the time to look through our PPC Wiki, particularly the Permission articleGuide To The PPC, the Mission Writing Guide and the FAQ: For Newbies.
I also give you a fluffy slipper. Use it well.

No hard feelings, Max, but I strongly suggest you re-read the Guide To The PPC, particularly the sections on Spirit of the PPC and What NOT To Write.

So, about this goodfic. Would you happen to have links to it? 'Cause we can always use more goodfic. {= )
Anyway, welcome!
~Neshomeh, foregoing the usual links because they're in at least three other places down the board.

Watch out for final fantasy, Doctor Seuss and Gollum references!
Then just as she though her life would be ended, a beautiful dream-like vision appeared before her. The deadly warrior who had come to her rescue, a handsome chocobo, quickly killed off the remaining 42 orcs with his spork before rushing to Warrk's side.
It was love at first sight. The moment she looked into his sparkling fried-egg green eyes, Warrk knew there would never be any other for her. 'My name is Kweh!,' he said in a voice soft as the summer wind. Tenderly, he put a hand on her tibia to make sure she was alright. 'Are you hurt, my lady?' he asked.
Her father came from the line of swisscheeses of Balrog's bog, while her mother was born into a lordly house of hobbitseseseses in Rivendull.
Without a second thought, he pulled off his holey sock and began tearing it into bandages for Warrk's collarbone.
Yeah...good luck with that. xD

Having read the rest of your writing sample .. by
on 2010-03-12 04:54:00 UTC

In addition to the issues I outlined earlier, there are some others.
Your writing in general leaves a bit to be desired on the technical front; tense-shifts, incorrect capitalisations, bewildering ways of describing other characters for a start.
The bits of badfic you use are few and far between. When you do quote it, you quote vast tracts of it so it's hard to see what exactly you're complaining about.
Your formatting in general I found hard on the eye, with enormous sentences and paragraphs.
The way your Agents have been recruited is just ... wrong ... for the PPC.
I stopped even caring about the fic you were sporking because of the errors in your own writing and the distasteful nature of your Agents. This, I'm sure you'll agree, is slightly contrary to the point of what we do here.
Another point is that with all your mysteries and [REDACTED]s, which as aforementioned are Not How We Do Things, it makes me leery that one of these days you're going to up and mess with something even more fundamental. If you can't operate within the confines of this shared universe as it is, if you have to twist it to feel comfortable writing in it, perhaps this is not the place for you to stretch your creative wings, as it were.
The main problem is that you appear to have missed the point. You've taken our happy, silly, fun setting and darkened it, with your press-ganging and depression. There's no comedy in this mission. I felt uncomfortable reading it, I didn't feel that giggling righteousness at the end that normally I would expect to find at the end of a PPC mission. I didn't feel that it was a job well done.
This is supposed to be FUN. This is supposed to be stupid, and comical. This is supposed to be slapstick. Your writing sample is none of those. It made me sad.
I'm sorry, but you don't seem to have understood the spirit of what we do here, and with that in mind I'm going to say it's Permission denied.

I was told to come here by Araeph, and I hope she has the same name round here. Or you might think I'm mad! (Shock! Horror!)
I come bearing goodfic! Including such foodstuffs as Bleach, Harry Potter, X-men, Buffy, - let me find my list here - Inuyasha, Fruits Basket, Discworld, Hellsing, Song of the Lioness, Mulan, Soul Eater, Twilight-bashing, Chibi Vampire, Fullmetal Alchemist, Labyrinth, and Black Lagoon.
The list of future fandoms is about three times longer. >.> It does indeed include Firefly, but I must admit the only idea I ever had for LOTR was about Entwives. I struggle to see one of those as an Ent-Sue, so I'm afraid she may not be used as firewood.
So...how 'bout dem bumper stickers? 8 )

Being a cat would allow me to stare at things for long periods of time without looking suspicious. Plus, Sues are supposeldy good with animals and would leave me alone. Only one problem: How do I write a charge list with no thumbs? I know trojie was able to operate a remote activator as some kind of lizard, but I don't remember her having to write anything while in that form.

I think my biggest problem critiquing fan fiction will probably be that I don't know fandoms well enough to distinguish non-canon from canon.
I'll take Harry Potter for example (although I think I'd try to avoid a topic that large as it's probably been tackled to death by the PPC as is) - I like the series, but I still haven't read the 7th book. I have incomplete knowledge of alot of topics, but nearly complete knowledge of almost nothing.

I poke because I care, you see. {= )
Put it like that, yeah, I'm not much interested in writing fanfiction myself anymore, either (except possibly to finish that one HP fic that I've sworn year after year that I would finish). But I do like parody, satire, and generally flexing the sarcasm muscles in a mostly-harmless way, and badfic is a good excuse for it. So that's why I do it.
Badfic shouldn't need a stomach. That is, it's not all squick and horror (unless you go looking for it). Most of it is just adolescent self-indulgence. We're all guilty of it at some point, it's just that some people do it in particularly cracky and lulzy ways. That's the stuff that makes for a good PPC story (which is different from MST, by the way. You don't need Permission to MST).
So. In the spirit of broadening horizons, welcome. I do hope you'll learn to forgive the Board its foibles, though. Look at it as a good reason to be thoughtful about what you write, knowing that you won't get a chance to edit it later. It's good practice. {= )

Welcome to the PPC! Here's a dagger set from the Raven Armory and a bottle of bleeprin! (I partially agree with you about the fanfiction vs. original fiction thing, but only about the bad fanfiction and such. Good fanfiction, rare as it is, makes the whole world of fanfiction worthwhile. For the fanatics, that is.)
