I'm not as familiar with the Silmarillion as I'd like to be, but I've got some beta-reading and slash experience (albeit not in any pairing involving the local equivalent of Lucifer) and can offer a hand. If it's easiest, I can be emailed at gattsuru at gmail dot com

Hey, if you're interested in doing it, I'd be delighted to have you beta. If you want to, what would be the easiest way to get the story to you? I'm on Fanfiction.net, and I know they have something set up for betaing, or I could just email it to you or something.

OT: Beta Request for short Silmarillion fic by

It's very short, only about six hundred words. It's a conversation between Annatar and Celebrimbor. It contains very mild slash (i.e. some kissing), which is why I really want a beta; I've never really written romance-ish stuff. (Though Annatar is manipulating the Glaurung out of Celebrimbor, so it's not exactly romantic.)
Anyway, is anyone interested?

I guess. It might be useful for 'verses with centaurs in them. But then there is always the fact that this is only my idea of how Centaurian physiology works, and most authors have said nothing about it in their books. So that is effectively something hard to spork, unless there are really big things where more or less everyone knows: That cannot be.

It could be a sickly-sweet story about Twu Luv. It could be a story about the Sue using the poor Agent for her own nefarious ends. It could be somewhere in between, with the Sue worrying that he doesn't really love her - that it's her ex-suvian nature doing it to him. There's all kinds of interesting places you could take a story, and I don't think anyone here would object to any of them.

Depends entirely on the Sue, the Agent, and the author. by

Love is subjective. It's as mysterious and individual an idea in fiction as it is in real life.

They just weren't what I was expecting to see while eating tea with my mum aged fourteen or so. We could never quite take it seriously, whatever it was.

Good question.
I would it suspect to be at least something approaching true love, as agents are usually impervious to Suvian influence, and there is always the Reality Room to go and check how real this love thing is, if you have very practical characters...

Yesterday in the chat there was a discussion about the physiology of Centaurs.
We came up with a lot of things and I offered to draw a few sketches. Credit for this goes mostly to July and The Trojanhorse, as both had important suggestions on different aspects of the physiology.
