I will be in that part of the world then and I would dearly love to go to one of the gatherings.

For the record, this is Minnesota, but this is also the Twin Cities. So urban upper Midwest.
Sometimes I use "you lot" or "that lot" or related, but I never heard many other people use that one, so it might just be me.
I hear "that bunch" sometimes, for more than two (or occasionally even for just two, but that's less common). "Those guys", "you guys", and other "guys" are also sort of common here. "You're", "we're", and "they're" are also common. But unless the people in question are commonly associated with each other (group of close friends, etc.), I rarely hear "you three" or similar.
As a side note, this one is almost definitely just me, but I call everyone in my age group "dude" in casual conversation. Boys and girls. I don't remember when I started doing that, but there we are.

But unfortunately, I have very large ocean (the Pacific, to be exact) and an economic recession barring me from joining such a gathering.

You don't know me, I'm afraid. I only just recently joined a couple of months ago. Here's a nice helm from the Raven Armory, anyway.

Giving the place a look-over now, and it looks pretty solid, albeit small at the moment. But there's great potential.
For reference: most of the background info as well as applications forms are found on the forums. You can get a link to there from said IRC.

We do that too - technically one "ought" to say "we both went" rather than "both of us went", as us is the accusative form of the nominative we, but that one's certainly widespread and common enough to be standard spoken English.
What I'm more interested in this case is the modification of we, us or you to indicate number: as a child my siblings and I were always "you lot" (or occasionally "you three", which is standard); you lot are all PPCers; them lot over there are knobheads - that sort of thing. (And yes, I know "them lot" is horrible grammatically.) Both is good for you and one other, but how do you refer to three or four including yourself; how do you refer to a group of people distinct from a group you're talking about, that sort of thing.

And you're whereabouts? Guessing the UK from the subject.
What I ought to do, since I rather suspect this comes over from the Vikings, is check if other Germanic languages have comparable constructions. Anyone speak German, Swedish, etc?

I love how much faith you have in me having tuppence to rub together.
If I can rig the train fare though (likely - my dad is a soft touch when confronted with appropriate puppy eyes and pathetic daughterly "Have I told you how much I love you recently, Daddy darling?") I'll probably be up for staying late - I know a million people in Leeds and could stay overnight.
So, count me in, unless a miracle happens and I actually find gainful employment that interferes.
Oh, and... the 9th, I think, of August is my cousin's wedding, and my sister plus husband and kids will be up here for a week either before or after - I won't be available when they're here.

...is what we call "crack" - as in, "the author must have been smoking". Situation can be enough for a short fic, if done humorously enough, that you don't need much by way of plot. Good luck with it!

Honestly, I doubt there's any way for me to get there, and I highly doubt my presence would be at all welcome (:P), but it seems interesting enough that I could try for it. It's gonna fall through, but I'll see if I can manage it.

Normally I don't bother making the distinction, but "you two", "you lot", "us two", "us lot", or even "you three", "you four" etc don't sound odd to my ears.

I would have a plotbunny. Three way crossover where the Orkz, the Jaegerkin and the Nac Mac Feegle get to meet. Preferably in a bar. I feel that hilarity, as they say, would ensue.

We were thinking of Leeds as a good place, because we know we and Pads can get there with reasonable ease. August or September looks like the best time for it. I can do pretty much any time in September, August might be trickier but I can work with it. Anyone have any times they absolutely cannot do? I'm sure we can work something out.
As for ideas for where to go, we were considering the Royal Armouries. We thought that was appropriate for a PPC trip.

And if anyone can stay late, or if we can work out a daytime booking, how about a little round of public embarrassment?

What I tend to use on occasion is `both.` As in `both of us went to the store,` or `what, both of you?`
Don`t know if that helps.

Specifically, another 'let's write half the charges on the PPC chargelists into a good story' fic. If every author wrote as competently, the PPC would be out of work.

The Doctor is completely IC for once, the story has that NuWho feel despite taking place in Firefly, there are some nice Continuity Nods, and the Firefly canons and locations fit according to PPCers who watch the show.

Due to my lack of IRC know-how, it took me a little while to track the actual site down, but I found it in the end.
I'm going to check it out, see if it's my kind of place. So far, I'm liking the looks of things.

Plug: Mercury City Supers Is Looking For RPers by

Plug:
I have an original world superpower universe- Mercury City Supers- that needs populating by characters and RPers to a greater extent.
It is set in the future (2025), in an alternate version of Earth (for the most part the same besides some names and superpowers existing) and I'm looking for more people who can string a sentence together properly (pretty much all of you).
Epicness is already going on, we have an IRC you can join if you have any questions, and please pretty please
I'm looking for more superpowered characters and more regular citizens to take larger positions in the various metropolitan areas (or smaller, if you want to run a danceclub or wwhatever and get to enjoy it getting smashed to bits every now and then).
There is a filtering process of a writing sample (which must be yours, if not necessarily written just for MCS) and character application, both of which must be approved and have worked fairly well so far (besides one incident). It's really easy, so c'mon, anyone interested in spilling some free time into this?
The IRC info is #MCS on irc.blitzed.org. If you don't have mIRC or Chatzilla or somesuch, Mibbit and the cgiirc connection can get you up and in it pretty easy.
