We say 'sweet' a lot as well by

Generally in the form of 'sweet as', but often just 'sweet'. In NZ, 'sweet' means 'awesome' or 'fantastic' or 'okay, that's decided then'. For example, I have just been organising to go out with a friend tomorrow and we decided to meet at location X at time Z, and my response was 'sweet, dude', meaning 'excellent, we have reached a decision, I shall see you there.'
Much shorter!
Also comes in the form of 'sweetbix'. Which is probably just gratuitious word-mangling, really, along the lines of 'awesomesauce' and 'mintosaurus' (oh, yes, 'mint' is also a word of generic approval in NZ...)

Down in NZ we say dude a lot by

Generally as an all-purpose naming word. I address the vast majority of my friends, male and female, as dude. Occasionally the female ones object, but not very often.
Interestingly, you know how when you're having an altercation with a stranger and they call you 'friend', and you know they don't mean it in any way in a friendly manner? Same thing happens with dude here, as in 'Hey, back off, dude.'

Believe what you will, but I'm actually sincere on this issue, and I'm trying to make sure I word it as well as possible. I could honestly care less about when you "expect" it to be posted. Just because July decided to step in for whatever reason doesn't mean I'm incapable of explaining.

In my experience, over here dude is said exclusively by people who smoke a lot of weed. Tends to be followed with an over-exaggerated "sweeeeeeet". No idea why.
I always thought it was a shame that bloke isn't used in America. It's a much better sound to it than guy has.

Slightly after-the-fact, but agreed.
My lurking recently has been partly due to not having internet at home and having to do everything from work, but also has had something to do with feeling way behind the class in terms of all the things that happened.

Delurking after a couple of months away and saw this. Wow, drama.
I did have an idea for a mission I've been half-writing for, umm, two or three years now (I get easily distra...)
How about a midichlorian injection which would allow Agents to use Force powers for a few days while they (the midichlorians) were still in the system? Too far-fetched? I've been trying to work out how a non-Jedi agent could be able to take down a Jedi!Sue.

Okay, no caps this time, I promise.
Alright, facts first off:
1) KGarrett was the one who was deleting links from TVTropes and had put a 'new members need not apply' type message there and I was the one who took that bit out and put the message on the discussion page.
2) Yes, some of us are quite disgruntled with those newbies which are of TvTropian origins.
3) Anyone who wants to put KG through the pisser for this gets to go through me first. Yes, he screwed up bigtime with this. Doubtless they're be more times. And his ass has already been flamed in regards to what a stupid waste of life he is by himself, and also by Pads apparently.
4) Drama. Over. Now. Everyone get over yourselves. KG, that means you especially. You're not an idiot and you're not worthless, you're just in the negatives when it comes to self esteem. Everyone lay off, now. I'm glad we all had that little ranting and getting the fury out earlier this week, time to go back to peacetime and all that.
That said, everyone shut up. I don't care who you are, this subject is over. Closed.

That one almost certainly grew out of either California surfer parlance or the 70's hippie culture. Maybe both. Which would explain why it's so rooted in America but not over in England.
Personally, I like it. Used as I use it it's a nice unisex phrase (because "dudette" sounds really stupid).

This got turned into a greatly lessened form of Well Intentioned Extremism. Lessened in that it involves no genocide, but wiping TV Tropes of all PPC links to lessen newbies coming in was still over the top and unwarranted.
I figured it out from searching for the person's IP here. I don't want to name them either.

At least, as best I can give without naming names. It'd be longer and more elaborate otherwise.

I certainly don't want to stop newbies coming in; 'closing ranks', as Pads said, is a terrible. I suppose I didn't phrase myself very well - sorry, Ansela. I just meant that I myself wouldn't put a great deal of energy into replacing those links. Since they said "Someone claiming to be" one of us, I assumed it wasn't and shrugged it off. Sorry.
That said, giving the wrong impression about the PPC is even worse than trying to close ranks. I'm not going to go and advertise our presence, but negative 'press' is even worse.

Crack is coke with stuff added (baking soda, or summat, if memory serves) so it goes further and can be smoked. Coke just goes up your nose (and down the back of your throat, and tastes of death, so I would not advise it).

Did I miss a memo about how we're closing the ranks and not taking on anyone new lest they somehow add something to the collective canon that not all oldbies have agreed upon?
I know Ansela's not willing to name names here, but whoever's going around giving this impression of us, I for one am not happy about it.

Get it while it's hot! Nice, steamy mission! Last mission was basically all plot; this one's the reverse, just classic mission, complete with gratuitous violence, cannibalism, things behaving strangely due to writing errors, and malfunctioning CADs, the first time I've written them!
There's also a bit of character development in here, explaining the various things that make Chliever tick (in some cases quite literally) and what happens when he loses control of himself. You'll also notice Winston start to come into his own a bit, including making his own calls when to charge. I tried to take some of Sara's advice in her "how to write better" thread to heart, but I've been planning on doing this for a while, so, nobody think they forced me, okay?
Also, they bring back much unacanonical tech that I'm sure DoSAT could have a field day with, including a lightsaber that turns into a bazooka!
