Possible Board game? by

So, what I was thinking is a month-long Board game that works like this:
- Each one of us picks a fake handle that we can't recognize each other by.
- We post regularly for an entire month under our handle and just act naturally.
- Then someone makes a specific thread, say, half-way through the month, where we Tri-And-Guess who's who. Or maybe it could be at the end of the month, and each one of us posts 1 big guess on who's who on our own with no help from each other.
- Then at the end, we have the big reveal and see how close we were.
- No posting under multiple usernames! That's cheating. Cheating is bad. You want to avoid cheating.
So it's like of of those "who's who" things, you know?
Now, I can already see some problems with this: - Weakening of accountability to other Boarders. - Possibility of mods being able to transcend it and see who's who, but maybe they could be excluded from the game. - Possibility of acting - Just people in general not being interested.
Since I don't have time (again), I'm gonna leave it here for now, and you can decide if this game is really the best idea.

...I'd like to plug Terrible Writing Advice, a Youtube series in which author J.P. Beaubien gives absolutely terrible writing advice and riffs on clichés and tropes. It's been kind of helpful to my writing, but mostly funny. (Seriously, though. The endings episode will be helpful to me at some point, and the environmentalism one made me have a better understanding of one of my characters I've been working on. Not to mention how to reminded me that there is actual nuance to the environmentalism issue, just like with everything else. Can't have anything simple, can we?) And it can help you, too. Just do the opposite of everything he says.

That's definitely a language made for chanting - all those deep vowels give it a lovely lámatyávë, very different to any of Tolkien's fleshed-out language (it has resonances with the Black Speech). I think you made a good choice by going for rhyming couplets; the repetition really gives it emphasis.
As for 'unborn' - remember that the belief in Gondor and most of the world was that there was no heir of Isildur - that Aragorn (and his ancestors) were literally unborn. I don't know if 'tree' can mean 'family tree' in Dragon Speech, but if it can... ^_^
(This is going to end with me penning Eldar Scrolls, isn't it?)

Thanks Huinesoron, now I can look for a beta reader!
I have already finished the fic( I’ve actually finished a writing project, woah!) It uses the Star Wars summary. I would like to have a beta reader that is well versed in Star Wars Canon. Even though I watched The Force Awakens in 2015, I still don’t know whether I have truly grasped Kylo Ren’s character.
Which is why I’m leaving two ways that you can communicate with me down below. They are my PPC email and my wiki page. You can leave an email or a message. No questions asked.
The email: toorandomperson@gmail.com

The word list used in the Gramatica linked appears to be the one from ATT's living lexicon, which is actually a lot LESS complete than the Expanded Lexicon most commonly used (link here). None of that seems to be canonical, but the GW approach to Tau'sia is "who gives a rat's arse" so canon is really more of a general guideline here than a strict rule. However, a little more digging has turned up

But Fill the Plothole is meant to be a fairly quick and silly game; most people simply write their responses and post them straight away. But there's nothing to say you can't ask someone to beta it for you!
Edit: If you do ask for a beta, I suggest dropping a note here, rather than making a new thread. :)

Hey Huinesoron, are we allowed to use beta readers for the stories? I’m not the best Star Wars fan, and I don’t really know how Kylo would react. So I want to use a beta. However, I do not I know whether their use is illegal in this game.

Here's the original for reference:
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king. And in Dragon, with translation alongside:
Ni yuvon los pah fin faraan, (Not golden is all the wealth)
Ni sizaan los pah wo rovaan; (Not lost are all who wander)
Kruziik reyth neh fen vokiin, (Venerable tree never will unbecome)
Zok tum silsos dreh ni diin. (Most inner lifeblood does not freeze)Nol krah heim, yol fent alok, (From cold forge, fire shall arise)
Nol vulom, kun fent alok; (From darkness, light shall arise)
Vokrii fent kos fin krent tuz, (Restored shall be the broken blade)
Vodu'ulaan fent meyz jun ruz. (Uncrowned shall become king then.)I think the most dubious choice I made was vokiin, which can be used in the sense I'm using it, but more literally means "unborn." It's a bit of a stretch, but it let me keep the reference to freezing, which is a concept we actually have multiple words for, so it's worth it. I'm pleased I was able to keep the tree symbolism in some form, too. As we know, Tolkien liked trees. {= )
I also coined the compound vodu'ulaan from base word du'ul, "crown," adding the negative prefix vo- and past participle suffix -aan. Again, worth it to keep as close as possible to the original meaning of the poem. I found it really annoying that krent, "broken," is one of the few irregular past participles we have; rhyming with -aan words would have been so much easier. {= P I'm still not thrilled with the meter of the last two lines, but I dunno how much more I can poke it.
Now, the way I see it, this is an Elder Scrolls crossover, and the poem is a prophecy inscribed by an ancient dragon who had a glimpse of the future. ^_^

I'm imagining this to be from the universe where Tolkien and Lewis collaborated on Lord of the Rings - and so Bilbo's Ring, rather than corrupting the spirit, instead progressively turns you into a dragon. Now the former Hobbit crouches in the former troll cavern, scratching his poems into the walls, waiting for the Ranger he has heard rumour of to come and free him - though whether from the curse or from his life, Bilbo no longer cares to consider.

Because buried on that link was a handy transcriber, and so:
The letter that really stands out is that N, partly because it's doubled so often, partly because it has a very lonely dot on top of it. If you're a dragon scoring the rock, it's probably also quite tricky to write - you have to bend your hand right around to do it. Fun stuff. ^_^

This is palindromordnilap. From what I understand, I am technically not banned so this post should stay up a bit longer than it otherwise would, but this is probably the last time I'll post here.
Anyway, this is about Bram. I saw that she recently tried to post in here, and would like to inform you on what exactly happened with her in the last year or so. Long story short, I tried to reach out to her on Discord. I really tried to help, because I know what it's like to be a mentally ill person who gets ostracized from anywhere they try to build up a social circle on, even and especially for reasons that are absolutely valid. I pointed her to a forum I spent a lot of time on, with a huge section dedicated to mental health and recovery. Unfortunately, I had severely misassessed the situation. She seemed to have some sort of fixation on the PPC, and any attempts at reasoning her were met with complete incomprehension. This is almost certainly the reason she's started calling everyone narcissists since. It eventually came out that she had an alcohol problem. And a big one. And then people started to figure out that a lot of the issues she has could be explained by something called Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, which predominantly affects alcoholics. I still have no idea whether this is actually the case, or if she has been trolling everyone all along.
Regardless, we eventually decided that her case was essentially hopeless. The only way to obtain any sort of improvement would have been reaching out to her and her family in real life - not something that is exactly possible. She became the first person to be effectively permanently banned from the Kintsugi forums.
All of this is to say... Don't feel guilty. Stop thinking about how if things had gone differently, maybe you could have found a way to help. It's tragic, but there's nothing any of us could have done.
Bram, if you read this, I'm sorry.

Fill the Plothole (The Original PPC Game) by

I think it's about time we inaugurate this Board properly, and the only way to do that is to play the very first PPC game: Fill the Plothole!
The game is simple: I post some hand-selected*, silly-sounding fanfic summaries, and whoever is inspired to do so takes one and writes a short story that makes sense of it (and/or draws out the ridiculous). PPC content in the plothole-filling is permitted but not expected, no permission is needed, and yes, you can do the same summary as someone else.
[*On this occasion, summaries were taken from the top 2 fandoms under Books, Movies, and Anime on FF.net, plus LotR because Tradition.]
Some previous plothole fillings can be found here if my explanation has been characteristically unclear. And so without further ado:
Strider (Lord of the Rings) - this story is before the fellowship, but after the hobbit. it explains how Aragorn arrived with the rangers and returned to middle earth
Home at last (Harry Potter) - Not everyone is happy that the Dark Lord married Harriet Potter, and some of them want revenge at the cost of innocent lives. Life brings a new change yet again for Tom. Two part mini series. Canon Divergence. Female Harry/Voldemort pairing.
Liar (Twilight) - After finding employment as a live in maid by an extremely upper-class wealthy couple, Isabella is stuck in a tragic loop and can't find her way out.
Creative Excuses (Star Wars) - Summary: Kylo sees the light...It's concentrated on his face, in particular his mouth.
The days we fell in love (Avengers) - Romanogers AU. Natasha meets Steve in a bowling alley where she works. From the moment he saw her, Steve was completely haunted by the woman. (Full summary inside)
Like a River (Naruto) - She didn't ask to be Haruno Sakura, but if she has to deal with being her, then so will everyone else. SI!Sakura. Crack-ish.
Painted togas (Hetalia - Axis Powers) - When the countries that made up the Roman Empire disappear, it's up to Germany to get them back. He isn't alone though because for some unfathomable reason, Romano is joining him. Will they get Italy back? will they find out what is causing this? And will they get along? GerIta with a side of Spamano
(I may or may not fill any of them myself; depends on time/energy.)

Regarding thread-posting etiquette... by

it's kinda impolite to post two threads in a row without a good reason; it pushes a thread off the front page. In future, try and post on the thread you've already created.
In response to your post, that doesn't seem to be the case; I just published a test post to User blog:Aurora Morningstar which went through.
Also, could you maybe try not to use as many non sequiturs? They make the point you're trying to get across harder to understand.

Hello there. In the user page on the PPC wiki, there is a page called blogs. I have heard that you can make blogs using blogs. However, when I opened it, it said that the page was not found?
This reminds me of Warframe. In the quest Vox Solaris, you have to speak to The Business to complete it. But you can’t talk to him unless you finish Vox Solaris!

No, that was not my intention to be passive aggressive towards you.
If I was I apologise. Sorry for sending the wrong message Iximaz. Sorry if I also came off as insulting too.
I actually kind of like the lyrics though.
I didn’t want to say anything about your singing abilities because I felt that I would be even more disrespectful towards you. But since you said it was, using Thing That I Am Not Allowed to Do at the PPC was a bad idea and undermined my reasoning in the first place.

If you don't like it, maybe you should say as much instead of being insulting.
