I always wondered about the scum on the top. It gets there even when I'm sure the mug is perfectly washed out, so it couldn't be soap scum. Well, now I know. ^_^ I'm not sure I'm adventurous enough to let it accumulate in my mugs, but still, it's something I can include in the "what the heck is that in my cup?!" section. Thanks!

As Ursula K. Le Guin is still alive and the A Wizard of Earthsea was published in 1968, neither of these conditions have been fulfilled.

Public property, or whatever it is. Can't remember the term, but Wizards of Earthsea has been out for a while. If they are open to the public domain, he could technically do it...

We get a lot of limescale in the water here, and it makes for positively delightful scum on the top. And then, presumably, gets stained black and adheres to the inside of the mug, where it gradually becomes thicker and knobblier. So it's not so much flaky bits as the entire inside of the mug being coated with a thick tar.

... I don't know his real name. If I just refer to "that spammer" everyone on ffnet will know which one I mean. He's been bothering the lot of us for a couple of years.

I have every right to be angry if someone was performing ILLEGAL ACTIVITY. Did you actually see what he was doing? Sending obscene death and rape threats to twelve-year-old children on ffnet? I think that goes a little beyond a joke.

Welcome to the PPC Board Halloween Costume Party! This will be going on the whole weekend (24-26), so I hope you enjoy.

I hope you wore your costume, because this is a masquerade. I'm not in mine yet, since otherwise it'd be obvious.

The (secondary) Board has been decorated in an impressively slapdash way. Orange and black streamers decorate the room, and pumpkins of various sizes litter the floors, waiting to be tripped over. In the center of the room is a table cluttered with bowls of candies. Next to the table is a cooler of sodas and and various bleep drinks.

When you make your introductory post in here, make sure to describe your costume. Your username can be of a canon character, and the actual 'costume', the description, can be as creative or accurate as you care to be.

Any reference to him more direct than "some idiot who's been annoying me" is... well, it jsut doesn't sit well with me. Is your choice, of course.

But I won't have the characters actually hurt him. I just want to get the news out to the guys on the ffnet section that he's gone because he bothered them for years. And I wouldn't mind writing a particularly smug message to him on my LJ, if I can get away with that ...

Might use the Holders for a Sue, but the only way to get past them is to pass the tests to acquire the Object and I don't think objects of ultimate evil are okay to bring into HQ ... ah well.

Just don't make it literally about him. Find a Stu with resemblances or invent an annoying agent/OFU student/something that bears a striking resemblance, but don't sink so low as to use him directly. You're better than that... and it's safer, just in case he has some really good lawyers.

I think coming up with the questions might be more informative than the answers - and I look forward to it.
