I'm not willing, at this point, to try to trawl through the archives here to find the previous reminders, but I'm certain I wasn't listed on any of them. I'm also certain that this is because I sent my recordings in inside of a month after I got the lines. So unless I was sent more lines recently that didn't go through, I must insist that there is some error here.

Will ask Dad to show me how to work the microphone, and I can probably get my lines to you by Sunday. Will definitely be done by Halloween, I promise.

Someone commenting on the blog post article called the writer of the "how to tell fourteen-year-olds to write slashfic" a paedophile. I can't even begin to explain what's wrong with that.

Yes, I have neglected this duty for some time now- not by choice, I promise you- but the deadline is Hallowe'en, folks. That's a week on Friday.
These people still need to hand in their lines- to Trojie, please, not me, as I will not be online from now until well after that date.

The people who have notes about reassigning are, as far as I am aware, unable to do their recordings. If we could get volunteers, please? The characters who need re-assigning are: Redd, Sparky, Denny, Daelynn McSparklepants and Morgan.
Apologies to Trojie for dropping this on her, but deadlines are deadlines. SO if we could all get on this, people?

But yes, I see the point. Still may write one and keep it to myself, or possibly write a smug letter to him. He probably wouldn't see it even if I posted it because his net access has been cut and it's not impossible that he's going to be incarcerated fairly soon, but this guy made my life a misery in several tiny ways for years before he did this (he was the idiot who sent the Yiff In Hell spam around the Pit years ago) and I'd like to blow off steam.

I was thinking more along the lines of "does the Glitter-to-blood ratio in Sue Blood affect what kind of Sue it will be?"
Speaking of which, I'll need different types of suefics for that one: Bitchy Sue, Goth Sue, Preppy Sue, and so on.
The first specimen will be a Tenth Walker Sue with Canon Character (Galadriel) descent.

I mean, not that it wouldn't be fun, but no matter how you frame it, that's still about a real person, and whether a PPC mission or not, you don't want to sink that low.

that you don't take on too many projects - I just have my single pair of agents and it's hard to find time to write them. Having multiple sets, I imagine, would fast become a nightmare.
That said, I really look forward to reading it. WikiM's idea about experimenting with Sue stimuli sounds like a great deal of fun, and do you remember the acid testing incident from a while back? *rummages for link* Ah! Here:

Are you familiar with Ghastly's Ghastly Comic? by

Very NSFW but funny comic. One of the characters is "Freddy", who speaks almost entirely in random Japanese words. To quote her on-off boyfriend, "All you're doing is making it impossible to understand you in two languages!" Might make you feel better about the spewings of anime fanbrats. (We're using some inspiration from her speech for Sakura-chan the catgirl in the OFUR.)

... it wouldn't be paedophilia whatever they did. It'd be hebephilia because the kid's post-pubescent. Not that I condone either, but even people who do that deserve to at least be referred to with correct terminology, no?
And, assuming she was telling the truth, veterinarians-in-training writing fics in which a guy has something longer than his body jammed into his intestinal tract and doesn't even pass out. And lunatics writing terrifying things involving utter anatomy fail, creepiness, and rampant misogyny which hurts far less than it should because the portrayal of males is pretty damned unflattering as well. And the utterly eyebreaking one where the author assumed the penis and the prostate were different names for the same organ ...

If I dug up my fics from when I was fourteen they'd probably be excruciatingly painful, mpreg filled fics where at least one part of the pairing is severely emasculated. I like to think I've grown out of that now, so I can have hope that most fourteen years olds will also do so.
Of course you still have older people writing stories where awesome characters get severely emasculated, even though in canon they are capable of defeating their opponent when their supposedly stronger friend fails against his equally strong enemy.

Suvian: My OCs name is Sakura Harono because shes my favourite naruto character and its a kewl naem and you cant say it isnt.
English: I'm too lazy to look up Japanese names, I can't spell character's names properly and I have no idea what apostrophes are for.
Suvian: (A/N It looks just like Renji's sword in its shikai form.)
English: (A/N I'm too unoriginal to come up with a new weapon design and too lazy to describe an important prop.)
Suvian: (A/N SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE RANKA DID IN THE SECOND OPENING OF MACROSS FRONTIER AT 1:15)
English: (A/N She's basically a character from a different anime transplanted into my fic and given a different name and a bitchier, sluttier personality.)
Suvian: OMG SUGOI KAWAII KITSUNE-CHAN DESU!!!!!
English: I only know five Japanese words but not what they mean or how to use them properly.
Suvian: Glossary at bottom of page
English: I've used loads of Japanese words that actually exist in English, and not just the untranslatable fandom-specific terms that the majority of fans know already.Sorry for the anime overdose of my examples. The first, fourth and fifth ones I've seen in various forms and the second and third are influenced by what music I was listening to while typing.

The way I see it, fourteen-year-olds are gonna write that stuff whatever we do, so we might as well make sure they can do it correctly and reduce the number of disturbingly bad stories out there. Actively encouraging them to do it is kind of creepy, though.

I think the problem with it, by

was not the 'sex education' part, but the fact that this person was encouraging underaged persons to read and write explicit material that could get web authors in trouble if they are caught.
A twenty-five year old encouraging fourteen year olds to write explicit slash just seems wrong to me. Plus the closing comment on the article is kind of disturbing.

It becomes reality somewhere in the PPC. Who hasn't said "if these walls could talk..." at some point? Saying it in the wrong place could invoke the Ironic Over-Power and the walls would start talking.
