Sedri already gave you wiki link.
Prepare to be assaulted in other linkage ways.
First off, let me introduce you to the FAQ for the Board, it is rather handy for a newbie like yourself, and I promise it shouldn't eat you or give you rabies (that's me). Please to be making sure to read the Board Constitution (Wiki link here, Oddlots copy is up at top of Board) too.
Here is the infamous Araeph's The List of Everything PPC, it is really quite shiny. There's also the Complete List of PPC Fiction, and I personally heartily recommend reading several of the longer spin off series (I would give a few examples here but it is half past midnight as I write this and my brain is currently on holiday) to get a feel for things before you try reading things like Huinesoron's more serious PPC stuff- Reorganisation and Crashing Down - because while fantastic, both're confusing for newbie brains.
Now, beyond that, I'll give some handy advice.
Don't be afraid of the oldbies - they don't bite (that's me that bites, and I'm not an oldbie, and I'm sure they'll find a muzzle and will provide you with rabies shots afterwards), definitely post so that we can get a feel for you, and all in all have fun and don't take everything seriously (well, very seriously at any rate. Serious is allowed, so long as you don't take it too far).
Another handy bit of advice is that you, as a newbie, should not be left alone with me at all, so I welcome you to break that dire warning and IM me or something. fairladypsyche on YIM and AIM and with @hotmail.com suffix for MSN (and JulyFlame-at-gmail.com for Gtalk if you'd rather). To be truthful, no one should be left alone with me at all, and I'm sure a few of my victims friends will come along, spy this, and be honest and agree and warn you, which will do nothing but get you curious and end up leading you into a trap.

Welcome! And no, we don't waste much time. Good to meet you! *shakes hand dramatically*
Hmmm... I don't see July with her usual Plateful Of Links yet, so I'll give you the basic one - the PPC wiki, here (http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/PPC_Wiki) - and let her take care of the rest.

Bonjour! nuqneH! "Hello" in any other language of your choice!
I give you a Tribble and- well, I think I ought to skip the chocolate in this case. Have some Bleep-products instead. Just don't feed the Tribble too much.
The Harry Potter fandom highly approves of your assistance (or at least, I do on behalf of it).
My final gift is a sharp, pointed, and shiny object of your choice.
Welcome. :)
Oh, and I approve of your banner.

Okay, have an egg whisk! It's shiny, gold-plated, and whisks not only eggs, but spambots and author wraiths as well! Use it for good and not evil.
Welcome to the insanity! XD

Welcome to the PPC Board! No doubt others will come along later and give you links to the many and multifarious places and info that we have on the PPC, so I am just going to do my usual and throw baked goods at you :)

Hi there, everybody...
After weeks of lurking and just trying to find out everything I could abut the PPC, I decided to make myself known.
My main fandom is Harry Potter, although I know a thing or two about House and Twilight, (who can hate vampires?)
I am not the sort of person who should be given energy drinks. Or pixie stix. Otherwise, I go from just plain random to utter psycho. My dorm mates at band camp learned this the hard way...
*hangs "Death to Sues" banner and waves*

I apologise for being so... well, frantic last night. Was stressing far too much, I guess, and I certainly didn't realise how difficult a request I was making.
Am weighing up various titles now. Will post a link to the finished piece in a day or so.
(and hS: cheers for Longitude!)

Titles are hard. Various Douglas Adams references come immediately to mind, though I don't know if you can do anything with them:
Fanfiction: Mostly Harmless
An Insider's Guide to the Galaxy--of Fanfiction
Don't Panic! An Insider's Guide to Fanfiction
Etc., etc.
I'll come back if I think of anything better.

I need some Mini names! by

The post regarding Minis below reminded me that I needed to ask this.
I need Mini ideas for the following fandoms:
Moonlight (vampire P.I. television show)
Twilight (Yeah, the main character is practically a Sue to begin with, but the fandom still deserves protection.)
Dracula
The main problem? We already have Mini-Bats, in the Batman fandom. So, any ideas? I thought about maybe Mini-Renfields for Dracula, but I don't have a clue for the other ones.

... I adore Longitude. I'm sure I've seen a similar book by the same author around, so I'll have to track that down and buy it...
As for titles... let's see.
Worlds Without Number(/End): Fanfiction For Beginners
Or the reverse thereof. Or "An Insider's Guide To Fanfiction" as the subtitle. Or... yeah, the problem is there's so many similar options.

There is a list! by

I didn't know if there was, but I've checked, and there is! Yay!
List of Mini Types
For the record, there isn't yet a mini for 40k. The privilege of choosing (sorry, "discovering") the form of a mini usually goes to the person who first encounters one. Note that they are identical within a fandom, and it's best to check with the Board rather than being unilateral about anything.

Each fandom has it's own species of mini. by

For example, at my esteemed Fanfiction University, we currently have mini-kiji. Any name misspelled in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles forms a mini-kiji. However, those aren't up for adoption yet (yes, you need to adopt them).
Other types of minis include... Hm... Mini-aragogs for HP, if I remember correctly, mini-hellhounds for Good Omens and... I'll be honest here, I don't pay much attention to the other minis. But there's lots of different types. I don't think we've decided on a WH40k mini yet but I could be wrong.

Question regarding minis by

I'm considering starting a non-mission piece to introduce my two Agents, before I gird myself to ask permission for a fully fledged mission, and I have a question regarding mini's-so far, most if not all mini's I've seen are mini-balrogs formed from the wraiths of misspelled LotR characters/places. If an egregiously bad fanfic in a non-LotR setting involves a consistently misspelled character/place name, would it create a mini, and if so, would it yield a mini-balrog, or something more appropriate to the setting?
(Should anyone wish details, it's a WH40k Gaunt's Ghosts badfic pulled from a pit of blasphemy that will not be named, and the error in question is one Larckin, when it should be Larkin)

... and only having some memories of you asking for input, plus given the demands you have for things that should be in the title, doesn't make it easy to help.
* An Insider's Guide to Fanfiction
It's boring and factual. Alternatively "the world of" could still be plunked in.
* Fanfiction in X chapters/stories/steps: An Insider's Guide to What Can and Can't be Done.
Or variations thereof.
Sorry, not much of use.
