For those who are wary of clicking either link, this is "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister. It's a song from the 80s, entirely SFW. Folks who participate get virtual Lichtgoodies. :)

About submitting the audio, make sure that you record in such a way that the song isn't in the background, e.g. by listening to it with headphones plugged in while you audio record on another device. That way, the result is just us singing it, rather than alongside the original vocalists.

Also, I'm thinking of splitting up the verses into solos, based on each line. Comment if you want to be one of those, and which one.

Finally, I'd like it if a few of you tried doing the backup vocals, to balance us out as an ensemble. Thanks.

One complaint I have is that it's not really clear whether Zeb is Luxray-shaped or human-shaped during this, since it seems like the text supports both possibilities.

I'm overall liking how this set of stories is coming along.

I don't have much in the way of a detailed review, unfortunately, but I figured it was at least a good idea to let you know someone had read this.

If you haven't played Fall of Cybertron, not only is it an excellent Transformers game, it's a great game in general. Reason I bring it up is because it's a third-person shooter where at the push of a button you can swap perspective from over the left shoulder to over the right, or back again, allowing you to make creative use as cover while at the same time technically allowing all the characters to be left-handed in the game's continuity. (Ugh, whyyyy did they have to shoehorn Bayformers into the sequel rather than keep going with the Aligned continuity...>()

1) "DELL-ta JU-lee-Ett". Emphasis on the first word can flip to an exasperated "dell-TAAAAAA" if necessary.

I... really was hoping people would take it in the more mathematical reading of "Δ Juliette" and shorten it from there to "Juliette", but such was not to be.

2) Tallish, slender-ish, has dark hair but keeps ending up dying it lighter. Wears flannel and hiking boots, but in a femme way. There's a whole video, if you're okay with corporate PR blogs

3) In no particular order- I'm an engineer, a nerd, used the internet before the invention of HTML (Dialing into the library server with telnet!), a currently-grounded aerialist, and occasionally rather unhappy about the lack of left-handed player characters in video games.

No time to sit down and read it, but I didn't see any mention of him "marrying" Aguella. There is one sequence where they're flying together, and Aguella starts shedding "mones" (pheromones, I assume) to attract him, but there's no sign of a formal ceremony or anything.

"Marriage" is used directly with the Andalite woman later, though. Literally the whole paragraph is, "I married." Since the entire Chronicles is framed as the Ellimist telling a human character his life story, it's possible he's using an English term there for ease of understanding. Or that he picked up the term itself, or a translation of it, from one of the many cultures he encountered over the millennia, but didn't use it during the Ket portion of the story because it hadn't been a meaningful term to him during that point in his life.

I didn't specifically remember the plot of The Other offhand, but for some reason when you named it, some part of my brain went, "Is that the one with the bees?" And sure enough, when I pulled #40 off the shelf, there's Marco turning into a bee. Funny what our brain decides to catalog for decades, isn't it?

Anyway, glancing through that book, it looks like Gafinilan and Mertil had attended the, um. Andalite training academy? Together. And when Ax, being prejudiced, asks why Gafinilan is willing to trade a healthy Andalite for a "cripple," Gafinilan replies:

For me . . . it is not about traitorous action to my world. For me, it is personal. It is about friendship.

If that word-of-god homosexuality was intended from the time of writing, rather than just an after-the-fact decision, then the above "friendship" may have been code for getting the true extent of the relationship across in a YA series in the 90s without calling down the ire of the homophobes.

Put Gremlin in there instead. She's in a canonical relationship with her partner Xericka, but she's bi, so at least that much makes sense. {X D

I don't think I should take on a new project until I knock one or two current ones off my docket, but that sounds fun. ^_^

As for canonical plans, Jenni is in a relationship with Suicide until at least 2019, because I consider that one TYH story canon and oh god that's next year, 2019 is only three months away, where did the time go, aaaaah!

Ahem. Point is, they're not the exclusive, 'til death do us part type, either of them, and sometimes they're on the rocks for one reason or another (but we all know it's Su's fault), so I reckon that leaves plenty of room for random interludes on the side. Reckon that goes for Jacques, too? {= )

((And I'm going to blame this squarely on you :P Though also on me, I suppose--I'm the one who decided a while back that he does still sometimes go to FicPsych, even after having done the initial work to become a balanced person/figure out more of who he is.

...I'm going to dare to suggest an interlude. I'm feeling daring. Also caught by the idea, which seriously just figures--I'm great at getting hooked by ideas, even if it doesn't always last. And, of course, the danger of writing Jacques is that he ships himself with everyone--so at some points you end up doing it too. Even when it goes against your actual canonical plans. He's a menace.
