I know it's been quite the hiatus from me, but I'm finally back! Ix and Charlotte tackle a goddess you!Sue in Netflix's Castlevania.
Warnings are in the mission, but this being Netflixvania, there's blood, gore, witch hunts, vampires, and swearing ahead.

It is so nice to see Ix not jumping at absolutely everything. She still blushes and demurs at anything too much like praise, but she's not aggressively self-deprecating anymore. Thank goodness! ^_^
Biggest laugh: “How do vampires wipe their asses with these talons?” Charlotte, asking the important questions! {X D Yes, I am a mature adult, why do you ask?
Not too sure I buy the accurate prediction of the Sue being a daughter or incarnation or whatever of Zeus? It's not a huge issue, but it threw me for a second. I read it as the agents just joshing about D&D and stuff that Sues pull in other continua up until it turned out to be exactly the case. I think maybe going from D&D to Greek gods in Castlevania doesn't quite track. Not sure what pantheon would make more sense in Castlevania... Roman, maybe? Or they could've stuck with the D&D analogy? And that would put them in the right ballpark without seeming precognitive. Anyway, not a suspension-of-disbelief dealbreaker or anything, just a moment of "oh, really? 'Kay." {= )
I liked the bit at the end with the three mains discussing what had happened. It was refreshing, seeing them act like themselves.
Couple additional typos:
to mingle with the survivor’s of last night’s attack - survivors
‘verse, ‘Sides, ‘cause and other such abbreviations - ’verse, ’Sides, ’cause, etc. (Need an apostrophe, not an opening quote. Nitpicky as it gets, I know.)
Overall, I enjoyed this. Netflix's Castlevania is great, the Sue was really annoying, and the agents were fun to follow along.

It's really nice getting to write Ix and Charlotte reaching a certain happiness together, and I'm glad everyone else seems to enjoy reading it, too.
As for the goddess thing, I can take another look at it, though I was more going for the joke of Sues being so predictable that the agents were able to twig as soon as one floated the idea. It seems like it fell flat, though, so I'll take another look.
Thanks for the typos catches! (And I do know it's supposed to be an apostrophe, not an opening quote—it looks like my computer auto-changed it to opening quotes, which is annoying.)
Thanks again!

Wowee wow, that fic was not what I was expecting. I only know Castlevania from Super Smash Bros., so I was expecting all kind of like, spooky places and cool monsters and whatnot. But this fic sure focused on an awful lot of talking and walking. Disappointing. (Not that that's the fault of your mission at all, Iximaz, just, wow. Wild.)
But that made your agents stand out even more! I love literally all the dialogue you wrote between Charlotte and Ix; they have such an easygoing, flirty familiarity to their banter, and it reminds me to never attempt any romance writing, because wow, that is beyond me, I think. They're super-cute together and the care they feel for each other is so plain in every exchange. Makes for an excellent reversal of whatever kind of relationship is supposed to be going on between Belmont and Your Name Here, Esquire in the fic, too. Two characters "having chemistry" isn't supposed to mean they're constantly fuming and blowing up . . . Anyway, what I liked the most was that Ix had been hiding Castlevania from Charlotte out of worry that the content would make her uncomfortable. That kind of quiet thoughtfulness for the partner reminds me of my mom and dad, actually.
Typos? (Language warning, if anyone other than Iximaz bothers to read my typo lists!??!?!)
This first is a consistency thing, although it depends on whether there's a difference between "arse" and "ass." I don't actually know myself, I always thought they were interchangeable. But anyway, at one point, Ix says, "'Real classy, slapping arses without consent.'" But later, Ix says, ". . . Trevor’s dragged her sorry ass outside . . ." Just wanted to point it out in case it wasn't intentional.
"'All she’s done is copy canon and pissed off Trevor.'"
"Pissed" should be "piss" there, to match the tense of "copy" earlier."'He really doesn’t seem too fond of her, does she?'"
Mr. Belmont swapping genders mid-dialogue, there!—doctorlit had SSBU Castlevania remixes stuck in his head the whole time

Thank you so much for reading! I was honestly disappointed by the lack of cool monster fights in the fic, too—the Sue spent so much of her time just aimlessly running around or hanging off of Trevor's arm when she's supposed to be just as great a monster hunter as him. rolls eyes But I'm glad I achieved what I wanted to, using the chance to highlight Ix and Charlotte's relationship now that they've settled into married life.
The arse vs ass was intentional—Ix has been hanging around Americans enough she tends to switch between the two depending on the sentence. (Don't know how other Brits on the Board say it, I'm just basing it off my IRL UK friends whose speech patterns and my own started mixing the longer we knew each other, haha.)
Thanks for the other two, though! Fixed. :)

I read it and I like it.
The part where Trevor turned into a literal manbaby made me snicker. I imagine it'd be super ridiculous if he looked like that the whole mission.
I liked this bit because of the double meaning:
“She is hot.”
“I think that’s just the fire magic.” Ix laughed when Charlotte turned an incredulous look on her. “But yeah, I agree. Hot.”
I also liked the part where Ix disguised herself as Dracula. It's my first time seeing an agent disguise themself as a canon character but that may be because I haven't read one of the older missions where someone actually did.
There were other things I liked, like the line about the Sue having purple eyes that could see through hands.
Anyway, nice mission!

casually sweeps my two WIP missions under the rugIt helped me calm down after getting frustrated at the TI link program thingy for not recognizing my calculator for some reason.Anywho, didn't recognize the canon but still loved the mission.
-kA, who's still frustrated at calculator stuff but less so.
Update: Finally figured it out. Installing the new OS now.

Ix and Charlotte are probably my favorite PPC couple :). And while I don’t know the characters or how they should act, I can tell the Sue’s a real nasty piece of work. Overall I love it! Can’t wait to see more of Ix and Charlotte in the future!

The show's definitely not for everybody, but I'm glad Ix and Charlotte's interactions were able to keep your attention. And there will definitely be more of them in the future, not to worry!

- Ix being concerned about the vampire hunter thing is adorable
- Heck, Ix and Lotte's opening is great
- As is the joint pain remark
- And Charlotte liking the dresses
- The 'respect women juice' remark section gave me a sense of the problem even though I didn't know the canon
- Charlotte's light teasing around the January thing is a nice touch
- "maybe her purple eyes let her see through hands" :)
- @fic, that sure is some plagiarism, alright
- "maybe we should've packed anti-lustin" - yeah, that sounds right for someone who started as one of your self-inserts going into this fic
- Getting stuck in italics was a nice gag
- The grin that was more like teeth baring is a nice bit of description
- No, don't tempt the ironic overpower! (but at least Ix brought her knee brace)
- I laughed at the spawn camping line
- In general, these two make a very cute couple
- I'd like to congratulate the Sue on pasting herself into canon without much forethought
- Bird disguises are a good call, and I don't think I've seen it used much
- Marshmellows are a good call
- Ix disguising herself as Dracula was a good idea
- Good luck getting DoSAT to not be annoyed
- And seeing the canons resisting was cool
- I wonder what that very last bit at the end was about ...
Overall, this was a good mission. I got a sense of what the problems with the story were (even though I don't know the canon), there weren't walls of badfic, and there was lots of good interaction between Ix and Charlotte, both in terms of funny banter and cute couple stuff. I enjoyed reading this and look forward to more.

Yeah, the main thing I wanted to get across for this fic was making sure people not familiar with it could understand what was so awful—hence Charlotte not being familiar with it either so I had an excuse to show why it was so bad. :P Glad that it was able to do that for someone not familiar with the canon!
Thanks for the review—I'm glad the mission got some laughs out of you. :)

Seeing Ix and Charlotte in their outlandish form of domestic bliss is honestly quite nostalgic for me- it felt like sinking into a warm bath, almost. So much so that I may have stayed up a bit too late. I mean, after the Sue was introduced I just couldn't wait until morning to see her executed. Also, I enjoyed the Trio's banter, and their not entirely inaccurate unanimous consensus that she was a succubus. Mission, woo!

Getting to write these two in their exasperatedly happily wedded agent life was a lot of fun. And man, this Sue... she was infuriating on a whole 'nother level for me. Just so smug and treated everyone like they were beneath her. Blegh.
I'm glad you liked the bit with the trio at the end! It was partially for my own catharsis, partially also wanting to include some proper banter between them after the Sue butchered their lines before.
Thanks for the review!

The weirdest part about this Sue for me... by

...is how little she suits the tone of the show. She just seems like the kind of glitterbag you see in literally every canon, flouncing around and being the Best Wizard or Coolest Demigod, and then she plops herself into the grimness of Castlevania and starts going "hey guys! I'm cool and edgy too! Watch me brutally murder some people! Haha, I can swear!"
also did she turn sypha white? that's what I got out of her suddenly being blonde. so much confusion.
