That sounds like a good prompt. (Though I won't be able to work on it at the moment, exam week and all.)

One character asks another to marry them, in any context possible (meaning in whatever context you want, though someone asking someone else to marry them anytime they get a chance is also an option...)

The solution.
I do have to admit to cheating slightly here. My original, much more naive solution was running (and running, and running), and so I wandered onto Reddit. On the advent of code subreddit, I saw an offhand mention of svaqvat n plpyr (I think it might have been in a title, not sure), which inspired the current, way faster, solution.

Since I can't post anything profane here, I'll just put down a link to a film I did on the matter:

It's NSFW, so just be aware of that... I was very angry when I wrote it.
Enjoy!

Fandom vs The Fandom by

Human subcultures are fractal, with the resolution defined by the number of people involved. The smaller a fandom, the less room for subculture. However, the larger a fandom, the bigger the fractures are. It's not enough to find The Fandom, you have to find Your Fandom. Why? Because the warring of subcultures (usually including a number of groups you will regard Hopelessly Confused, and at least one group of Oh Dear Did We Even Read The Same Novels That Is So OOC) means that the top-level fandom in any fandom big enough is a tire fire. Homestuck, Doctor Who, HP, Undertale, Supernatural... the list goes on. I am to a greater or lesser extent a fan of all of those things (except Supernatural, which I have never watched: I hear it is/was good, but the actions of part of its fandom and my hatred for those actions means I will probably never be able to fully enjoy it if and when I watch it. That's on me, nothing wrong with the show or the majority of its fans AFAICT), but I would never willingly participate in The Fandom At Large. Because they're tire fires. Small subfandoms in those fandoms can be quite nice, OTOH.
Also, I don't know enough about the Pern fandom to know for sure, but judging by the sorts of people and cultures I know were involved... I'm willing to bet there were some shadier parts of the fandom.

Back in college, when I was writing essays or my pre-PPC fanfiction, I would listen to just about anything when I wrote. Getting into the PPC more, I switched to mostly soundtrack-only music, as lyrics were too distracting.
As my work schedule picked up, it got to the point where I could only get writing done on my non-keeper work shifts, where I obviously couldn't have music playing. And now that I'm a full-time keeper, my writing rate has slowed to the point where this question is largely irrelevant, sadly. :(

Roseveare's dashboard
She has artwork and fanvids and podfics of her stories in addition to the fanfics. I know she crossposts on ff.net with a similar if not same name, but I don't think all of that stuff is allowed over there. I don't know. I rarely check ff.net.
This was one of the first ones of hers I read. It's a good intro to the type of body horror she uses a lot. This one is M for violence (no sexual content), but fair warning to anyone heading off to read her stories, a lot of them are NSFW. This particular story is in Duke's POV, but most of her stuff is in Nathan's as he is her favorite.
Body Parts
Summary: Duke and Nathan are taken prisoner together and it will require extraordinary trust for either of them to emerge intact.
Here's a line that I just love from the story. It's early on before the horror: Duke turned to Audrey Parker, one of the few people to whom he could state, "I am being stalked by creepy harbingers of death," who would both know what he was talking about and that he hadn't gone insane. He added, plaintively, "Can't you arrest them for that?"

OTOH, I don't think you could call Pern a small fandom in its heyday, and I don't know if it ever suffered from rampant shipping wars and the other sorts of things you're talking about. One benefit of the author ruling her domain with an iron fist, I suppose: there were standards that came down directly from the top, and everyone was expected to adhere to them if they wanted to participate.
But I was only really involved at the fringes, doing all my RPing on Neopets, which is a kids' site, and therefore everything had to be squeaky-clean per site rules. So I don't know.
But, I think that makes my point, too: if the corner of the fandom you're hanging out in has rules, and those rules are enforced, the nastier elements don't thrive there. They're forced to go off into their own dark little corner and leave decent people alone. This, IMO, is as it should be.

From what I've read, there are already lawsuits in the works challenging the decision. While agencies do have the authority to revoke previously-established rules, they cannot be "arbitrary and capricious" about it. Hopefully, the courts will put a preliminary injunction in place so that the repeal doesn't take effect until it gets argued in the courts. If they were quick enough to put a preliminary injunction on Trump's travel bans, they should definitely issue one here.
Though a Congressional fix would render any litigation moot, I wouldn't hold my breath that our divided Congress would move any more quickly than usual. If anything, they'll move at a turtle's pace instead of their usual glacial pace.

I have a few go-to playlists. by

Mainly on Pandora these days.
The first is built around the Skyrim soundtrack and also features a lot of the Assassin's Creed soundtrack, plus assorted other similar stuff. It's low key, but the occasional exciting rhythmic bits mean it's not low energy. This is a pretty good general purpose one.
The second is built on the group Afro-Celt Sound System. Lots of rhythm here, a little electronic/trance-ish stuff, but not too much. Very global feel. I used this one a lot when writing "The Cabin." Take that as you will. >.>
The third is basically classical music—Mozart, Vivaldi, etc. Though somehow Skyrim tries to sneak in there, too, which was really annoying when I wanted something to work by that didn't make me wish I was writing fanfic instead.
I can't use anything with vocals unless I don't understand the words, and even then, it has to be a voice I like; otherwise it's too distracting. Though it is nice to be distracted by something I like to sing along with every now and then. Dovakiin, Dovakiin, naal ok zin los vahriin, Wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal...

When I am writing my blog, I listen to the Hamilton soundtrack (some NSFW language and themes). It shouldn't work, what with all the distracting words and all, but it does. I sing along the whole time, too.
When I was finishing up my last article, I made it all the way to It's Quiet Uptown.
The song that re-energizes me once I start to lose steam is Hurricane. I think it's probably the powerful chords and the drive of the song that helps.

I'd say one would be good for indecisive folk like me, y'know?
They could definitely be themed! That'd help out a ton. Maybe a Christmas theme for now.
I'm thinking for the Prompters though, they could be anyone in the PPC who thinks they got a good prompt going on. What do you think?

I was thinking someone (more creative than I am) could announce a prompt every other week or so. I haven't quite planned who that person'll be (could be random), wanted to see if people would agree with the idea first, y'know? It'd be a post on the board every two weeks.
Though, if you've got a prompt on mind, shoot me.
And yeah! I'm a recent newbie, thunks for the croissants!
