Your powers of survival are both wondrous and terrible in these dark and vicious times! We salute the man who grows old in a world where men die. . . Well, at all, really. Survival's not something to be sneezed at, y'know, especially since by the age of thir- er, 29, of course :)- your nose must be a Death Star among olfactory receptors.
I'm frankly slightly jealous, but I'm sure I'll get there in the end. Just don't let any X-Wings fly up a nostril in the mean time and I'm sure you'll hit thirty with no issues whatsoever, or "tissues," even, though that one's a little on the nose even for me.
Perhaps I should post the a-bridge-d version... Oh, I'm sure it'll be fine.
Oh! And, Happy Birthday!

Also, don't worry about losing interest/impetus to work on a piece of PPC writing. I've had a mission on the go since February 2015 - and it's finally nearly finished. So, yeah. If you want to write, write; don't worry about when it's finished, just worry about it being good. Lord knows I do. =]

But if your post here is anything to go by, I'd say you rock pretty hard yourself, friend.
Feel free to drop out of the shadows now and again, by the by. Lurking's fun and all (I should know, did it for five years) but participating in the community is pretty cool too.

"I'm definitely a girl, and not anything else, and definitely don't even WANT to be anything else, and definitely don't ever feel like a boy or practice being a boy. Because girls are COOL. Girls can be FIGHTERS just like boys can, and sorcerers."
Favorite animal: fox.
Evidence for "girls can be cool": my three aunts, who had long-standing jokes about being witches.
First thought: kitsune. Problem, of course, was everyone was doing kitsune.
Second thought, witchfox… witchvixen…?… No, witch and vixen are too close. foxmagi… …VixenMage!
These days, since everyone assumes you're otherkin and/or trying for sexuality with a name like this, I have other monikers. But I've had it so long, I've stuck with it in the oldest communities. And, after all, I've not entirely given up on foxes or femininity.

First Christmas (with apologies to Stan Rogers) by

This day, a year ago, he was rolling in the snow
With a younger brother
In his father's yard
Christmas break, a time for touching home,
The only world he'd known,
And leaving was so hard.
Now he's countless worlds away, hunting Sues on Christmas day,
Earning double time,
If he's ever paid at all
Well, he always said he'd make it on his own
The temporary partner's going.
First Christmas,
Away from home
She's in King's Cross train station, nicking canons' change,
Four more Galleons buys
Oblivion in her room
Well it looks like she's for Rudi's after all,
And the sighs of pity all
Will echo like a tomb
But it's warm and clean and she can think of worse places to be,
And at least it means
No beating from her Dad,
And if she cries because it's Christmas day,
She hopes that it won't show,
First Christmas,
Away from home
By the console there stands a little tree,
And it looks so small and bare,
Not how it ought to be.
Weeping Angel on the top,
It's not that same old silver star
You wanted fo your own
First Christmas,
Away from home.
In the morning there's his meds, then it's crafts with those in beds,
Then another meal,
In what they call his room.
Hoping that his friends will think to call,
If they think of him at all,
It's best they do it soon.
When his partner passed away he fell apart more every day,
Each had always kept the other,
Pretty well.
But the Flowers said that FicPsych would be best,
'Cause he couldn't live alone,
First Christmas,
Away from home.
He watches them sedate the Christmas Tree,
And he's huge and he's cold and lifeless,
Not how he ought to be,
And the lit-up flashing Santa Claus on top,
It's not that same old silver star,
You once made for your own
First Christmas,
Away from home.

The original version involved Ix and Jacques instead, but it didn't turn out so well. Enjoy!

So, I've been a huge fan of the PPC for over a year now, and I've worked up enough courage to finally say something. I love you guys. PPC sporking adventures are literally the funniest-yet-sometimes-serious and weirdly absorbing stuff ever, and even though I'll never be able to write stuff with you guys because I'll lose interest and come back to it in a year like all my other attempts at writing, I will always be an avid fan! Thanks for keeping the multiverse safe! :D

You're probably in its fandom. Don't worry about not doing a lot of typical fandom things; we've got a lot of different types of people in this community (and, being online, cosplay doesn't come up a whole lot. I could be dressed as Spock right now and none of you would never know the difference).
But yeah, a lot of us are very into fandoms. It took me a while to figure out what's going on. But I did figure it out, so feel free to come to me if you have any questions about anything (or just want to chat), my newbie gift to you is. . . my email (I know, so boring). Click my username on this post.
--Key is not dressed as Spock. Not this time.
P.S. I guess I should tell you a bit about me. . . I'm a teenager, pronouns she/her/hers, I've been in the PPC for about half a year but don't write, my fandoms are all sci-fi and fantasy so you probably don't really care, but I love slash.

CSS just keeps getting better and better. ^_^ At some point I plan to make it look a bit more festive, too, once I figure out exactly what sort of look I want to go for. Maybe snow in the background, and sitting on top of the table and stuff...
