I hereby request permission. Agent profiles are as follows:
Agent Somariel
Appearance: Somariel is about 5'7", with long red-blonde hair normally worn in a ponytail. She has greenish hazel eyes that are usually seen behind a pair of glasses. She's most often seen wearing dark jeans and a comfy T-shirt, possibly with her favorite sweatshirt. Around the response center, she's usually found wearing slippers, which are changed for sneakers when she has to leave the RC.
Personality: Somariel tends to be a rather quiet person, only entering ongoing conversations if she feels she has something useful to contribute. In spite of this, she will sometimes come out with some completely random thought she just had. A confirmed introvert, she finds being around other people for extended periods of time to be tiring and generally needs a few hours of "alone time" every day to stay sane. As a result of Aspberger's Syndrome, she has trouble reading social cues. She's a voracious reader and a good artist, although she can honestly still see lots of room for improvement in her artwork.
Agent Mira
Appearance: Mira is 5'4", with shoulder-length black hair. She has blue-grey eyes that darken when she is angry. She prefers leather armor over any other type of clothing and is rarely seen without her sword and a pair of knives in arm sheaths.
Personality: As an extrovert, Mira tends to assume that quiet people are just being shy and simply need to be drawn out of their shell, something that annoys Somariel to no end. Mira is very bubbly, although three years with the PPC has turned her from an optimist into a cynic.
A writing sample can be found here: http://somariel.livejournal.com/2225.html. I also have a much longer, non-PPC piece of writing saved to my computer that can be uploaded to Google Docs if needed.

Welcome! Have a Magical Infinite Carpetbag to hold all of this, cages for Mariposa, the first and only plover, and anything else living, and some chocolate.

I'm working on what is shaping up to be a three-part mission (unless the stupid author adds another chapter to the gorram thing), and I'm almost finished with the first part. Before I expose it to the world, I'd love for someone to go over it to check for basic mispellings, gramatical issues, PPCishness, etc. (A permantent beta would also be lovely, if anyone is interested/has the time.)
I can be found via AIM at anamia8742, or by email at thirteenskater(@)gmail(.)com. AIM is probably the better option, as I don't check my email nearly as often as I should.
Oh, and since I suspect you'll want to know: the fandom is Harry Potter, the Department is DBS, and the fic in question is NSFB. Not that that matters too much for the mission, but I thought I'd warn you.
Thanks!

Eh, no reason, really. I took three years of Spanish in high school, and Mariposa (meaning 'butterfly') always stuck with me 'cause it was pretty.

Mariposa? An excellent name! Any reason, or it is just 'cos it sounds cool?

I've already seen a couple of Canon!Relative-sues in Leverage, so that should provide fodder for a few missions. The problem is, since the main characters are a) thieves and b) work in a tight-knit group, it might be hard for PPC agents to infiltrate said group and take care of the Sues. <br>
SGA, on the other hand, should be easy enough.

Eheh. I'm a bit odd,in that I tend to like secondary characters. Um, let's see for SGA it's probably either Kavanagh or Zelenka.

I never read Black Stallion myself, but I can tell it's one of those childhood things that was never meant to be subjected to the bad fan fiction treatment. Also, that was some nasty, nasty grammer, so I'm impressed you put yourself through that.

Hello! Welcome! Please accept this sparkly rock (pickaxe not included) as token of my welcoming spirit. Use it well, as either a paperweight or as a projectile weapon, though, I must warn you, if you choose the latter option you'll have to go and find it yourself. It isn't yet equiped with boomerang technology.

P.S. I apologize profusely for any spelling errors in this post. IE has no spell-check, and my limitted natural abilities in this field have been drained due to intensive exams over the past few weeks.

I was kinda thinking of a thread like the one just above this one. I'm guessing everyone has assumed you're just someone they personally haven't seen before. ^_^;
And, again, a Mary-Sue subtype should be a type, not a single instance.

- Absolutely. That's why Fanfic Land has a Creativity Shield to prevent leakage, and why we have the
DIOHappy Bunnies and Sunshine.
5. Potentially. Speaking ex-universe, it's never happened to my knowledge, and we would probably just MST it, have a laugh, and move on if it did. In-universe, however, someone using writing to attack agents would have to be very clever about it, since they'd be going up against the will of the agents' author(s) and the Legal Department. I don't think Legal would allow for an outside influence to go "and then they died" and have someone drop dead for no reason. It would have to be something that could actually happen to the agents.
6. I don't think it's so much that they CAN'T be resurrected as that no one employed by HQ will do it for them. It's just Not Done. (Some people have gotten around this by turning into Time Lords. This is not an advised course of action. Plus, it would be kinda lame to copy-cat like that.)
7. I would think so, yes, since in that situation it would be tantamount to disrupting canon, and then it would be necessary to bring them back in order to restore canon.
8. It's been played with in that some agents are aware that they have authors, and all agents are aware that authors exist and that words can affect the multiverse. Most agents just don't think about it, which is good. Otherwise we'd be up to our eyeballs in existential crises, and nothing would get done. It's all very meta, since at the end of the day, WE are the authors, and we decide what sees daylight and what doesn't, not them. *shrug*
