I really liked the soundtrack. I went to see it with Zotz, and he griped about how it was so closely tied to African history. My response: "Nine-foot-tall blue alien catgirls dressed in feathers. Don't tell me you didn't like it."

I like the Inheritance Cycle, too, and have even written a little something about the dragons of that continuum. It's clichéd and everything, but still a nice story. And has decent grammar.

I have a question. What is the specific difference between a Character Analysis Device and a Canon Analysis Device. I never quite got that.

Best way round that is to do a select all once you've finished writing and then apply one font to the whole document. That way you don't have to worry about editing fonts manually.

Loved it. The 3D version is great. I especially like the landsapes, and in the credits it was fun to notice that WETA did the special effects, as they did in the LotR movies.
Unfortunately, I could only watch it in German (from Germany myself), but as soon as the DVDs are available, I will watch in English.
This whole concept of a forest interlinked is fascinating, I think. I wonder how that works biologically? And as Honu_Wahine wrote, it would be interesting to learn Na'vi.
I'm probably going to watch again for the fun :).

I'll try and fix that at some point.

In that mission Hogan and the Heroes did not make an effort to help the Sue either. Though there the agent notes in relief that Hogan was angry with the Sue and thus not so inclined to help, I may have set a bit of an example for this fandom.

First my introduction:
On the web, I mainly go by the name of Elorie. I have turned 18 in October, finished school and at the moment study physics at University. I live in Germany (so please, do point out whatever mistakes I might make with my English) and stumbled across the PPC by chance.
I am a fanatic when it comes to Lord of the Rings, and know the continua of Harry Potter, Narnia, Naruto, Avatar The Last Airbender, Bleach, One Piece and The Inheritance Cycle quite well.

How I came to know the PPC:
I had found the German translation of OFUM and read it in English. The references there led me to discover the PPC and I started reading.
I immediately liked the idea of killing these horrible, horrible characters. I have fanfiction for years before I found you guys, and I have seen quite a share of Mary-Sues and other abominations. I am truly glad someone deals with them. I has also made reading badfic more entertaining, because now I tend to imagine what an Assassin would do or how some typos would visualise. That can get really funny.

By now I have covered the Original Series, lots of DMS Lord of the Rings continuum, the Reorganisation, a bit from Pads and Trojie (will attempt Littlefoot x Cera next), some DMS Harry Potter stuff, SIELU, DOGA, DTE, some of the Floaters (Suicide and Ithalond mostly) and I have delved into the Wiki.
If there is anything to recommend, I am always open to suggestions!

Well, I guess after you've worked through mine and Pads/Trojie's missions you deserve a short break.

Doesn't mean I liked it particularly. But then again, as a film student it take a lot to switch my brain off.

I've actually seen it twice, once in 2D and once in 3D afterwards. I have to say, it's one of those films that you MUST see on the big screen, because at home you're going to loose half of the detail. It was my first film in 3D too, and I have to say that it's definitely worth it - for the CGI bits. The technology still needs some work (particularly with things in the very front), and it looks a lot better applied on the CGI then on the actual footage.

However, I just know in twenty years people are going to be looking back on it and going "... what's so special about the graphics in this? They're awful", and unfortunately that's about the only thing that makes it special at the moment because the plot is so horribly over done. I actually thought that the characters were quite good (vaguely well explored and pretty well acted), and that it was well written, but I don't think that that's enough to save it.

So there we go. Worth seeing, but it won't age. In my opinion. :3 I am, however, waiting for the million and six DVD copies so I can get the one with the most extras on. *_________* Some of the behind the scenes stuff is going to be epic and I can't wait to see.

He's established to be a kid, which would make being an undercover police officer rather unlikely. That said...

Before the late 1980s (and even more so before the mid-1960s), having firearms inside schools in the United States was not as unusual a situation as it is today. For a while there were still rural schools where, during hunting season, it was not unusual to simply have rifles carried around in the halls and stored in lockers during classes, and today those same areas will often have high school students simply store them in car trunks in the parking lot. One discussion of such is available here, if I got my link formatting right. It's currently unlawful in nearly all situations, but that doesn't necessarily stop people from doing it. Joel Myrick's 1997 actions would be one example of this.

Some rural (and rare suburban) schools also have have rifle teams, both air rifle and .22s. These are steadily being scaled down or outright removed, but you can find them places where they'd not be expected still. While the firearms here technically must be locked up pretty well or constantly supervised, the situation in the second arc would probably cause most people to reconsider. There are also occasionally trusted students who... ahem... 'accidentally' get access to the key or combination to these firearms.

It's still a pretty decent level of improbability, but not a matter of complete randomness.
