*checks* Huh. So it isn't. It IS, however, listed as one in its article.
Well, the reason for that might be the controversy over whether or not the whole thing is a troll. However, it is certainly bad, and it is certainly legendary by now, so... yeah, maybe we should take a new vote or something.
I will say that C*l*br**n is much, much worse if you're a hard-core Tolkien buff, as most of the PPC was back in the day. For other people, as my fiance will attest, it is merely incredibly stupid and might prevent you from getting a good night's sleep due to pondering said stupidity if you try reading it before bed. So... don't. >.>

'Smeg' by

As far as I'm aware, and I'm most familiar with the word from Red Dwarf, it *does* mean that particular substance.
I recall seeing an interview with Craig Charles and Chris Barrie in which they recounted an amusing story from being on a panel at a convention: a small boy asked them 'what does 'smeg' mean?' and Chris Barrie actually crawled off stage rather than answer him.

Smeg sounds like a rude word to me, but that's because it's used as one on Red Dwarf.
For future reference, sod and bugger mean the same thing. Think the act of buggery and the sin of Sodom. Hence it's weird, as Trojie says, that sod isn't considered a bad word at all.

You know I'm happy to beta your stuff, if you want to throw it my way.
And I'll second Trojie and Sedri nominations. Even though I know Trojie will flail at the responsibility.

No I haven't been watching the LotR movies, why do you ask?
Anyway. People are much too worried about whether or not they're worthy these days. If you know about one thing, you're absolutely qualified to talk about that one thing. You don't have to be here a certain length of time or read a certain amount of material in order to be "qualified;" you just have to know what you're talking about when you choose to talk. {= )

Yeah, letters are reserved for Jay and Acacia. You can have letters IN the RC number, just not as the first character. The only exceptions seem to be letters that stand for numbers, like i and e.
The list can be viewed on the Wiki, but you have to make your request to Araeph on the original LiveJournal copy or here on the Board.

2. Yup
3. Sometimes, but not very often. I use 'bugger' more often than 'sodding'.

"...your choice of color, but must be either black or blonde."
It kind of sums up the general unoriginality that plagues these types of characters.

Anyway, hi. Have a softnose laser. Very handy when trying to dispose of Mary Sues quickly.

1) I'm in the northeast U.S., though not too far north.
2) Yes. I know that word quite well, thanks to Harry Potter and the fanfictions that I've read.
3) I sometimes use it, but not very often.

I believe there's a list floating around somewhere, either on lj or the wiki or both, comprising all claimed response centre numbers thus far. I'm sure someone more sober than me will be along with a handy link shortly. SHould definitely be included in any sort of FAQ.

This one is a bit personal, but the idea is probably fairly universal.
Question: after having agents approved (in the distant future for me, but oh well), are there rules for creating RCs? Basically, can my agents inhabit RC number ZZ9-plural Z-alpha, or are letters reserved for Jay and Acacia?
