Very few people seem to know the answer to my question, so I thought I’d come to you and see what you thought.
Where exactly is the line drawn between M and NC-17 (or MA as FF now uses)? Because I have a number of stories planned that I don’t particularly want to get banned for (on this note, do people get a warning first, or are they instantly kicked off?).
What is the line between M and MA for gore? What is the line for swearing? Most importantly, what is the line between M and MA in regards to sexual content? Is there a line at all, or is it just depending on the context it's in and the administrator who sees it?

I guess I'm the unofficial editor of the List of RCs. I don't know why the trend has started with the number 32, but it's fine to add letters after a RC number. (The problem arises with adding letters BEFORE the number. Only Jay and Acacia have that.)

Adventurers!, which mocks typical video-game traits. Warning: it's way long. As in, there are probably multiple hundred strips numbered 999, and then all the epilogues.
Anti-Hero for Hire, which is about superheroes in a future where Canada invaded the northern United States using genetically altered dinosaurs. It's by the same guy as Adventurers!, above.
Darths and Droids, which posits Star Wars as a role-playing game, and completely subverts all expectations.
Girl Genius, which you've already mentioned.
Irregular Webcomic, which has just about everything. Especially Legos and plastic allosaurs. It's been going every day since late 2001, so there're a few strips to get through.
Narbonic, now ended, which is about a mad scientist's lab. It's rather wacky and very gripping.
The Order of the Stick, which pokes at RPG traits. It started developing a story early, and weathered the transition very well, although Vaarsuvius is annoying me lately.
PS 328, which you've already mentioned.
Skin Horse, which is about a government agency that deals with products of mad science. It's by the same person as Narbonic, above.
Interesting true fact: except for Girl Genius, I got to all of these because I was reading Order of the Stick. Much of that was because it led me to TV Tropes, which has links to just about anywhere and everywhere.

But do you know which Department you'll be wanting your agents to work in? Because if you want to write for the DMS, reading DMS missions is more important than reading DBS ones, for you to get an idea of how things work. And I'm sure hS will jump in with a link to Crashing Down et al soon enough; it's not stuff that you absolutely need to know, but he's been writing the history of various major events, and it's interesting stuff, and generally accepted as fairly canonical since half the Board views him as some sort of minor deity.
As for changes, so long as stuff's plausible and doesn't wildly counteract what anyone else has written, you should be okay. Killing off the Sunflower Official in a mission, for example, probably wouldn't go down all that well. And if in doubt you can always ask.

... that there are Agent cards for a couple of members of the Medical and FicPsych Departments. I'm probably going to add Intelligence ones. But people like Personnel, DoSAT, DMSE&R etc are probably best as Canons.

Given the way the PPC works, 1138, which I was lucky enough to grab, is liable to be in an entirely different spot- most of the time. XD

Any that don't contradict TOS. by

That's all there is to it, really. The fluid nature of PPC canon means the only things you have to acknowledge as solid canon are the events of TOS, though a lot of people have a sort of "everything is canon" mindset. Most of the major events like the Reorganisation, CD, the Mirror Multiverse thing, or some of the Sue invasions happened long enough ago to not really be relevant. You can pretty much do whatever you want as long as it's not offensive and doesn't contradict anything specifically set in stone, especially since HQ and the PPC itself are so huge.

*gives you sharpe, pointy object of choice* I've read some of the stuff on Jargon file. It's interesting stuff. Anyway, welcome to the PPC! Please leave your sanity at the door. You won't need it here.
