So I found this online personality type quiz. I’m not sure how accurate or useful its results are, but I took it and I’m ESFJ. It’d be interesting to see what personalities our agents are, too.

I got INTJ: Mastermind, which immediately feels incredibly wrong. The only things I'm "master" of is obsessing over tree branches and the order I\m allowed to read books in! The specific break-downs:
Mind: 100% introverted. That one tracks!
Energy: 53% intuitive, 47% observational. I guess an even split between reading details and imagining scenarios fits fine, though I would have thought I was more observational.
Nature: 63% thinking, 38% feeling. Would have though I was much, much heavier into thinking. Also, I guess they're rounding up fractions on some of these numbers? Because this is 101% total here.
Tactics: 66% judging, 34% prospecting. But I've never been a judge or prospector! I don't really know what this means, to be honest.
Identity: 62% assertive, 38% turbulent. Wouldn't the opposite of assertiveness be submissiveness? Whatever, either "assertive" nor "turbulent" are words I would ever associate myself with in the first place. I'm the quiet, shy boy!"INTJs make up less than 2.1% of the population and are the third rarest personality type."
Gosh, at the start of that sentence, I was getting ready to make a joke about how rare I am, but it's only in third place at 2.1%? There must be two very common personality types, and then a bunch of little ones. Man, it's like the Safari Zones!Reading further: okay, I do like "architect" a lot better than "mastermind." "Architect" works for both writing and decorating exhibits, in my life. I do enjoy learning as well, and have binged my way through multiple hour+ video essays on YouTube (although my actual book reading trends fictional rather than non-fictional, of course). I'm still not sure about it tagging me as more intuitive than observational; I'm more inclined to work with what I have on hand than to try to change things to suit me better, although I do dig this one paragraph about not feeling bound by tradition, too. I guess I rebel more against abstract limitations, while accepting the physical ones? It does seem to have my work ethic down pat, though. The only way to get something done is to do it, and there's nowhere to go but forwards!
Oh, a weakness section! How exciting! I definitely have a perfectionism issue; one of my coworkers has described me as "hard on myself." And I seem to have literally been born with it; my parents say that I frightened them around age 2/3 because if I made a mistake on a connect-the-dots page, i would start screaming at myself . . . Tee hee! Very normal child! Fortunately, I aim it entirely inwards, and take conscious effort not to micromanage the people around me. I vibe with the "not caring what others think of me" part as well, though I'm definitely lacking in social skills and conversational ability, too. I think I mostly dodge the overconfidence issue, both by not really thinking much of myself, and not trying to exit my own wheelhouses very often. I just do what I do, and I'm good enough at it! It also says we can be cold . . . I might come across that way, but I was heavily bullied as a kid, so it takes me a while to feel safe enough around people to start being open with them.
This next section says INTJs are good at detecting manipulation, but I think I got passed over on that point. Because I only look at the world as a series of tasks to be performed for outward good and no personal gain, I've definitely had situations where I got blindsided by ulterior motives, simply because my mind doesn't think to look for such motives. "INTJs are judges, so they like their living environment to be fairly tidy and ordered." doctorlit looks at his "filing system" covering half the office floor. Well, it's not tidy, but it is ordered! "INTJs tend to stay away from work that is purely hands-on: their love of theory, analysis, and ideas means they may get bored in a physical trade. INTJs gravitate towards jobs that give them autonomy and allow them to solve complex problems." Zookeeping fits the second sentence, but contradicts the first! "Like all introverts, INTJs do best in a quiet environment where they can really concentrate on the task at hand." Aaaaaaahhhhhhh yeeeeeeees it sings to me!
—But whatever, doctorlit doesn't put much stock in delineating personality into boxes anyway.

I have taken a similar quiz before with slightly different results (but always, always very introverted), so it does matter a great deal what kind of questions one gets. People tend to be more complicated than that, but it's not a bad thing when considering characters and dynamics between them. The Counselor fits me well enough. I definitely recognise traits like "perfectionist" (working on that) and "conflict-avoidant". But yeah, it's not a perfect description. These things never are.
I did the test for Moira and she got ENFP - The Champion, which I thought suited her pretty well. She is certainly more extroverted than I am, and absolutely more emotional and approval-seeking. (My precious, sensitive little cinnamon roll.) I liked seeing that suggested suitable careers for her are in teaching, social work or counseling.
And also Musical Performer, now that is certainly interestingIn doing the quiz for Blank I notice that she would answer the questions with a lot more cerrtainty than Moira or myself. A lot more are either Strongly Disagree or Strongly Agree, there is a lot less ambiguity. I also chuckled at the question You use logic more than your emotions when you make decisions because while I think that Blank makes a lot of decisions on emotion, she is under the impression that all her choices are extremely logical all the time, thank you very much. She got ISTJ - The Logistician. That is... incredible. She is the direct opposite of Moira in every single aspect. XD Not so sure I agree with the conclusions, but I think Blank would.

Welcome to the PPC
PostingPastry Board! by on 2022-11-17 12:50:54 UTC Edited ReplyI've been thinking about this probably more than I should. XD I suppose there are two ways to interpret the prompt. 1. What kind of baked good is the agent's favourite? and 2. What kind of baked good best represents the agent's personality?
I don't think Blank is fussy on what baked goods she eats. Food is fuel to her and anything tasty goes down a treat. She might be any type of massproduced snack cake that's cheap and easy, even better if it's individually wrapped for convenience. It's definitely quantity over quality with Blank; she'd prefer a box of Twinkies over a posh little French pastry any day of the week. That being said, if I got the chance to like... design a dessert to represent her best I might go for some sort of white chocolate dome to represent her colouring and the shell she puts up, perhaps tempered with something unexpected like salmiak powder to offset the sweetness of the chocolate and make it angrier. Blank carries an awful lot of anger. The cake base would be similar in profile but not as intense, because if you find the right angle with Blank you can have an actual conversation with her without her walls being put up, so it would be sweeter, maybe with some almond flour for texture. The filling would be raspberry mousse, tart and not too sweet. I detest salty licorice, but it's very common to pair it with raspberry so it's a combination that works. Maybe I'd decorate the dome with a little white chocolate rainbow, which obviously represents Blank being gay but mainly her desire to display a lot of colour.
....You know, based on this it feels like I should have as much of a think about Moira's pastry. Cinnamon roll is still good for her, though. She's a people pleaser and would want to be liked by as many as possible, and I would assume most people like a good cinnamon roll. A proper Swedish kanelbulle doesn't have icing on it, but pearl sugar, and are baked with cardamom in the dough. I think that would give Moira a bit more dimension and crunch!

As established in this interlude, Kaguya likes anything autumn-flavored – mainly to reflect the fact he's named after Lady Kaguya, a folklore character from the moon. That means chestnuts, sweet potatoes, ripe apples, persimmons, maybe even pumpkin. He's also a tea ceremonist, which means he would have had ample experience in traditional Japanese tea treats. As for a sweet that represents him, I keep associating him with monaka (sandwich rice wafers usually with red bean paste filling) for some reason.
Momoka's name means "peach flower" and is named after Momotarō, thus I imagine her sweet (both criteria) to be either something peach-based, or kibi-dango (millet cakes), the favorite food of the folklore character. Oh look what I found: Kibi-dango made from white peach jam, with Momotarō characters drawn on the packaging. My life is complete.

I almost forgot I explicitly and repeatedly established Sheen's obsession with poppy seed scones. I gave him a taste for scones and a posh accent in order to play up his fussy attitude, but why poppy seeds I myself don't know.
Finding a treat that represents or is favored by Helena is a challenge. I figure it would be something obnoxiously colored, drenched in all sorts of pixie food coloring (think blueberry juice, raspberry juice, several-kinds-of-flower juice), and tasting just as obnoxious to boot.

Urato isn't a sweets guy in general, so no favored sweets for him. As for image sweets, he's named after Urashimatarō, so perhaps his image sweet should reflect that a bit. I opt for taiyaki – a fish-shaped griddle cake usually with red bean paste filling.
Inasuke will like it if it's cute enough, so no pinning down one favorite sweet for him. He's named after the Hare of Inaba, so his image sweet should be something white and fluffy – cotton candy for starters.

Charlie's ENFP (assertive), Jiwon's INFP (turbulent), and the rest of my PPC folk (Ocotillo, Dr. Glock, etc.) don't have enough personality to answer some of the questions.
Been working on some writings recently, so hopefully that'll change at some point.

INTJINFP by on 2022-11-15 20:20:52 UTC Edited ReplyI haven't taken this test in many years, but IIRC this hasn't changed much. I came up less introverted than expected, though, which is interesting. Possibly I've become more self-aware about when and how I like to interact with people? (In focused ways, directed toward a goal, usually. "Hanging out" and "just chatting" are somewhat alien concepts.)
I also find it interesting that my T and J scores are just 55% and 52%, respectively. I wonder if they'd flip if I took the test another day.
(ETA: Yeah, I read the description for INFP, and that sounds way more like me. ^_^; I try to be rational and organized, though...)
... And the fifth category, Identity, comes up 85% Turbulent. This does not surprise me.
I might come back and run this for my agents later.

Nume comes up INTJ-A, and strongly so: his lowest score is 68% Intuitive. That said, him coming up Intuitive tracks, though it may seem surprising. He works hard to stay grounded in the here and now rather than getting swept up in overly vivid memories, but it's no accident that he's a fantasy/sci-fi nerd instead of a math/computer nerd.
Ilraen has consistently been the most difficult for me to get to "show up" on the page, and his ISFJ-A result suits him, right down to being quiet and polite by default. I'm a little surprised he came up more Assertive than Turbulent, but then I was answering more for how he is now than how he was in the beginning, so, yeah!
Jenni is ENFP-A, but her Feeling/Thinking score is 50% on the dot and she's only 57% Prospecting over Judging. She has the experience to know when to follow her head rather than her heart and when it's better to have a plan than to wing it (though she's pretty sure winging it will turn out fine, she'll figure it out).
Derik is ESFJ-T, but not so hidebound as the description suggests. He grew up in a society undergoing a massive shift in its way of life, and he learned the value of embracing new ideas (while not rejecting tradition out of hand). Demonstrate that a new idea has practical value, and he'll support it.
Gall is ESTP-A, aptly called the Entrepreneur. I don't have anything to add here; the description is pretty accurate for her.
I think it's interesting to note that each set of partners has two traits in common and two in contrast. Which ones they are accurately capture their dynamics, too. Pretty cool!
