The Library may be closed, but the Asylum is now accepting inmates.... by

A few weeks ago, it was unfortunately announced by SC, one of the Librarians over at Library of the Damned, that- due to a combination of circumstances- the Library has indefinitely closed down.
Library of the Damned was a community for fanfiction MSTs which I was lucky to be a part of for five short years. It had a fantastic cast of riffers, many of whom were PPC veterans (such as Admiral Sakai, SC, and Herr Wozzeck), and was one of the best MST websites to grace the net.
It closed far too soon. I have many, many unreleased guest riffs sitting on my Google drive, and a thirst to produce more. I don't want it to be over. The fat lady has yet to sing.
So, I hereby introduce, The Asylum, my former blog --> https://crazyminhzone.wordpress.com/. I hope that I can turn it into a worthy successor to the Library. But I can't do this alone.
Currently, my plan is to have a cast of up to twelve Wardens, all of whom will be given publishing and moderation access. MSTs will be posted on a bi-weekly basis, Monday through Saturday, with each Warden assigned a day of the week to post on. Hopefully, this two-week posting schedule will prevent- or at least limit the effects of- burnout, which was one of the things that did the Library in. The two remaining Sundays will be reserved for guest riffs, or, if there are no pending submissions, a blog post or editorial written by one of the Wardens.
If you're interested in auditioning to become a Warden of the Asylum, I'll put my email up here (given enough interest from the PPC). I'd like to add that this isn't an official PPC project- seeing as I don't have Permission- so be aware that riffs posted to the Asylum will have to be divorced from the PPC canon and setting to avoid invoking the wrath of the Sunflowers. If you're looking for a style guide, look no further than the Library --> https://literarytravesty.wordpress.com/
I hope to see you in the Madhouse:

Hey there, everyone! I've been reading PPC missions for a while, and I finally decided to join. I think I learned of the PPC through TvTropes like a lot of the medias I know, but I'm not sure, and my favorite missions to read have been SkarmorySilver's. For fandoms I like, there are quite a few, including anime like Dragon Ball and Gundam, video games such as Pokemon, Sonic and Undertale, the Discworld series of novels, Transformers and RWBY amongst others. Thanks for reading my introduction, and I hope we get along.

Heck, the agents and the OC speak different languages even if the former aren't rats anyway 🤣 Besides, the agents are disguised humans, not actual rats.

Singing the Dogstar Blues by Alison Goodman is a brilliant Australian novel for young adults about an alien bonding with a human over shared feelings of loss.
Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson is a fantastic novel about the early colonisation of mars, with a high degree of technical accuracy.
The Martian by Andy Weir is amazing, and it should be read by everyone and anyone.
Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein is the original military sci-fi novel with a very fleshed out political dissertation embedded within the pages.
I, Robot by Isaac Asimov is an anthology of short stories that tells the tale of human-robot relations.
Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlein is a really weird and awesome story about a human raised on Mars by aliens coming to Earth and discovering religion.
2001: A Space Odyssey is a weird case, because the movie came first, but Arthur C. Clarke wrote both the movie and the novelisation of the same name. Watch the movie, then read the book.
Rendezvous with Rama, also by Arthur C. Clarke, is a fantastic story about an expedition to an alien megastructure that has entered the solar system that’s getting a film adaptation very soon.
The Lost Fleet series by Jack Campbell is a very gritty military sci-fi series with a hopeful outlook on the future and very, very good space combat tactics.
The Expanse series by James S.A. Corey are very, very good sci-fi novels with a TV adaptation.
Beyond the Aquila Rift is an anthology of short stories by Alister Reynolds that has some fantastic stories inside it.
Artemis by Andy Weir is a heist story set on a near future lunar colony, and is excellent.

And with a lot of similar fandoms, too! I also enjoy the Ave and Zeb missions.
Say, d’you have a wiki user page with more info? If you’d like to, you can link it.

I suppose I should have responded to the original post instead. I was interpreting what you were saying as that I wasn’t allowed to discuss Legendaries whatsoever.
So... sorry for that, and being rude to Scape.

I think it depends on the subject. If it is clearly something personal, I agree wholeheartedly.
Otherwise? It depends, honestly. If it’s important enough values-wise, I definitely say you should respond.
I do think that I didn’t quite see what Nesh was saying in the initial thread as this as much, which is probably on me. I should responded either to Scape or the original thread.
Also, Scarlett, if it was you that brought this up in the Discord with Minh, as I suspect, please email me next time about something you feel is unresolved. It’s rather rude to badmouth others behind their backs.

me: Oh, our first Ratatouille mission. That's different; can't wait to see some Ratatouille stuff.
the first fic paragraph: references a shipwreck, a goddess, and The Little Mermaid
me: I guess it's been a while since I watched Ratatouille . . .With the agents being rats, you took advantage of a great opportunity having a scene shift drop into someone's purse! Nice idea! I'm not sure the agents in rat disguise would be able to speak to the human characters in this universe, though. I'm pretty sure the rats and humans never speak the same language in the film?
The one line:
The woman, while still couldn't understand anything transpiring, seemingly calmed down . . .
would parse more smoothly as:
While the woman still couldn't understand anything transpiring, she seemingly calmed down . . .—as a Kingdom Hearts fan, doctorlit is contractually obligated to refer to Remy as "Little Chef"

I agree that the Aviator and Zeb are really awesome agents, which will surprise eeeeeveryone here.
I highly recommend checking out the Flaming Broomsticks spinoff. The author isn't very active in the community any more, which is a bit of a shame, because Flaming Broomsticks is probably one of the best spinoffs ever, and certainly one of my favourites. And I've been around a bit. Problem is, they're a bit scattered. So here ya go!
Enjoy! =]

That reminds me, Japanese pronouns! by

As the Four Demonly Kings are Japanese, I guess it'a time for a fun reveal of their first-person pronouns. Japanese has an array of first- and second-person pronouns (unlike English with only "I" and "you") that carry implications about the user's personality and social standing, it only makes sense that they play an important role in characterization in Japanese fiction. Without further ado:
- Kaguya: boku 僕 – common masculine pronoun in use in real life, denotes neutral masculinity.
- Momoka: watashi 私 – gender-neutral, acceptable for casual use by females.
- Urato: ore オレ – common masculine pronoun, denotes strong masculinity, male youth and/or brashness.
- Inasuke: ore 俺 – same as above.

You haven't violated any articles... yet. by

However, you're walking up to the line on Articles 11 and 12, which I'd sum up in brief as "If multiple people tell you to stop doing a thing, you should probably stop," and "Willful ignorance is not an excuse."
Scape and I told you rehashing the Legendaries was bad idea and explained why. You persisted in trying to rehash Legendaries. You were told again by Scape to stop. Note that this summary of the conversation is functionally the same as the one I gave above, which you agreed was a reasonable interpretation. Even if there was a misunderstanding, since you agreed that my interpretation of the conversation is valid, you also ought to agree that Scape's response was valid based on the principle of "no means no," yet you insist on arguing and being rude about it. That's why we don't believe you when you say you grasp the principle. If you do, you should by now see the logic we're taken pains to explain to you, and not continue to argue about it.
Furthermore, I've noticed that you've been more rude to Scape than to me, even though we're making much the same points. That is not okay, and it gets less okay the longer it goes on. If you fail to recognize that, we are going to have an Article 4 problem, so please consider this your formal notice to knock it off and reconsider your position before you dig the hole deeper.
I'm not sure where you're getting "telling people that they're not allowed to respond to you." Nobody has done that at any point that I'm aware of. However, for the record, Scarlett is quite correct that if you are told by an individual not to continue talking to them, that is a personal boundary that must be respected, and failing to do so would count as harassment.

Hi! I'm Wemnix. I've been hiding amongst the pages of the wiki for a few months now and decided to join the Board! I have read the Constitution and variety of helpful materials prepared, and am glad to be here. Now to go through that list in the FAQ for what I should put here... I have quite a few fandoms I enjoy, including Harry Potter, Star Wars, the LOTR books, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Pokemon, and many more! I believe I found the PPC through a random link on TVTropes, can't quite remember. My favorite agents are probably the Aviator and Zeb, partially due to the sheer number of missions they have completed. For fun, I tend to play video games way too much, and watch the chaos that my cats tend to cause. I am currently hoping to go into game design in the future, and I live in the US. Thanks for reading my introduction, have a great day!

Someone asking you not to respond to them is a personal boundary and a pretty big one too. And would you please stop with the passive aggressive comments? I don’t know if it’s just me being over sensitive to people being passive aggressive but it really is starting to irritate me.
Scarlett is trying not to interfere but is getting annoyed
