That's beautiful. And I think it fits the PPC incredibly well.
The idea with the anthem is a good one, too. But what kind of music fits this?

The other day, I had dragged Vixenmage and Dreaming of Roses into a mini PPC chat of three over AIM. This was quite fun and resulted in moments of humor and there was agreement that with more Boarders it could be quite fun and insane and there was brief, brief mourning for the old chatroom which generally goes quite unused. (After that we became distracted at groaning at a hilarious badfic.)


In short, because of that, I propose a new chatroom over IRC!

IRC, if you do not know, stands for Internet Relay Chat. It is very simple (really).

IRC has the advantage over the old chatroom in that you do not drop if you idle too long, you usually can copy paste, and it even parses URL links so that you can click on them.

The channel (chatrom) is #PPC (the # is required) on sever irc.blizted.org. If you use Pidgin or Trillian, you can add the server and that channel on through your account options.

There are also a variety of downloadable clients such as mIRC, Icechat, and chatzilla, to name but a few.

You can also use Mibbit, click "Mibbit Webchat", click 'Server' next to the IRC drop down menu and enter "irc.blizted.org" for server address, your username/handle for Nick, and #PPC for the channel and then hit "Go".

Alternately, you have the option of clicking here instead if the above portion just confuses and or frightens you.

So let's see if this works. :)

What if a Sue died...and she never, ever came back?

I remember reading this fic (a long time ago, can't remember) that had a Sueish character, but at the last moment, during the climax of the 'war', she abandoned her post. This left the soldiers under her command vulnerable to attacks, but it turned out she was going to help someone.

This sounds really Sueish and everything, but she died. Is that considered a charge? I mean, it sounds all heroic, but normal Sues don't do that, do they?

You looking for bad slash/het, nasty Mary Sues, specifically illogical crossovers, or just something remarkably, remarkably bad?

There's a meh Highlander/B5 crossover, mostly due to confusing SPAG, but it might not be worth sporking -- I'm not familiar with the Highlander universe at all, so I dunno if they count as Marty Stus or not. Same, to a lesser extent goes for a transformers/B5 crossover.

I've only glanced over it, but Three Sides of Life has a pretty major black hole Sue in the middle. Despite that and the ugly formatting, might not be bad enough, and isn't a crossover.

Most of the crossovers long enough to justify sporking aren't really bad, even if they've got Mary Sues and OOCness like the Star Wars/B5 "Coming of the Empire".

Hello Anity, I see my fiction has been posted under Badfic Reports and Claims. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised- after all I kinda just stick commas where ever I please, and if it wasn’t for spell check my entire story would be unreadable. Horrifying I know!

Don’t get me wrong I love constructive criticism, but don’t be cowardly about it- I can take anything you've got to say!

As for me, I fully support young people who have an ambition for this art (no matter how bad their grammar may be) if its something you love- don’t stop!

I had been debating whether or not to write it in narrative form when I started it. But really, since no one else was doing it, I figured why not just follow the "science fair" method done in school?

I'm rather lax on format. Go ahead with the story; I just want to see that the scientists learned something (even if it is to never let a Sue have sugar) from their lab. And that they're methodical enough to do a write-up.

I got Permission to write for the DMS, but I don't recall asking for DMSE&R.

Specifically, badfic in the Babylon 5 continuum, as that is the only one I'm currently a true fan of. Crossovers would be nice.

Googling and trawling through the Pit have so far turned up negative.

This will give an excuse to reread 'In Keeping.' -grins-

Question: are you taking applications, or are you swamped?

Man, I keep thinking that someday I'm just going to run out of terrible things to do to Fender. Then I write him for a bit, and there are all the ideas.

I hope it's worth the wait.
