And let's not get started on abrasive Tsundere!Sues who still play the damsel-in-distress role.

I especially like the dismissal of the concept of standards in fan fiction as "authoritarian," and the presumption that all Mary Sues are parody characters. (While the trope-naming Lieutenant Mary Sue herself was a parody, I highly doubt that Jenna Silverblade was.)
How much do you want to bet that "authoritarian" is a euphemistic Godwin here?

Well, at least they didn't mangle Zuko too much, but Mai and Azula... WEESHT they're OOC. It's quite annoying when people use amnesia as an excuse to completely reverse a character's personality. And Toph fighting in a dress like THAT.
I understand this person's hatred for Mai, though. At first, I HATED Maiko because it was just completely out of nowhere and creepy, but when Mai saved their bacon in The Boiling Rock Pt. 2 (with that killer awesome line, 'What are you doing?' 'Saving the jerk who dumped me.'), I thought, "Well... OKAY... I...GUESS I'm okay with it..." I was grudgingly supportive, more due to my undying loyalty to the canon than anything else, until the last episode with that scene between Zuko and Mai, where I gave in and squeed at the fluff.
I actually had an idea for an Avatar fic with elements of both Maiko AND Zutara, but the former is the OTP whereas the latter is a one-night stand that both of them regret with every fiber of their being.
... What did that have to do with anything? Crap, I was rambling again. Apologies.
Please kill that comic. Every other panel is the same... brain hurts.

My brain just broke. I can't say for sure, since I didn't see the original fic, but this seems worthy of Legendary Status.

I didn't see the movie or read the book until last year or so. I remember trying to convince my friends that no, velociraptors were *not* six/eight/whatever feet tall, they were about the size of a collie. *laughs*

You know, considering that a majority of agents work in pairs written by the same author, unless both are essentially the same character, about half of all agents at most could be self inserts. Or maybe I just need to go to sleep now.

Okay, I just skimmed the first eight or ten posts and... Well, I'm wondering about how they can strip without wearing clothing in the first place; maybe it would have been better to just call them pole dancers? Oh, and why can't people capitalize the beginnings of sentences? It really isn't that hard.

You see, Lori Starrett was very tipsy and she mistook her colleague for Legolas. Being a Legolas fangirl...well, things got pretty out of hand.
Her husband took photos. :P

My agent(s) seem to do whatever they please anyway; Agent Sedri is in DMS, but just did a Wicked mission that involved no 'Sues at all, just a replacement character, and I justified it by saying there aren't that many agents who do Wickedverse. *shrug* I don't think the Flowers much care who does what, so long as things get done... the Finance people might lynch me, though. ;)

I thought it'd be the same thing as the Department of Floaters, by the name, but once the page loaded it seemed odd. I've never heard of it, but it seems kind of interesting.

the one who basically said 'hey guys, look, don't you think theropods and birds are, like, totally closely related?' He also discovered Deinonychus and made a decent case for warm-blooded dinosaurs.
Deinonychus ... well, how I've always said it is 'Dye-non-eye-kus'. I may be wrong. Wikipedia will probably have a phonetic thingy for it, but I can't read the phonetic alphabet, so you're on your own there :)

I know Ostrom's name but I don't know where from. Is he mentioned in SoD, perchance? And what's his Big Thing?
Also, how exactly is Deinonychus pronounced?
