... that there are Agent cards for a couple of members of the Medical and FicPsych Departments. I'm probably going to add Intelligence ones. But people like Personnel, DoSAT, DMSE&R etc are probably best as Canons.

Bet 1138 B is nowhere near 1138 by

Given the way the PPC works, 1138, which I was lucky enough to grab, is liable to be in an entirely different spot- most of the time. XD

Any that don't contradict TOS. by

That's all there is to it, really. The fluid nature of PPC canon means the only things you have to acknowledge as solid canon are the events of TOS, though a lot of people have a sort of "everything is canon" mindset. Most of the major events like the Reorganisation, CD, the Mirror Multiverse thing, or some of the Sue invasions happened long enough ago to not really be relevant. You can pretty much do whatever you want as long as it's not offensive and doesn't contradict anything specifically set in stone, especially since HQ and the PPC itself are so huge.

*gives you sharpe, pointy object of choice* I've read some of the stuff on Jargon file. It's interesting stuff. Anyway, welcome to the PPC! Please leave your sanity at the door. You won't need it here.

I was saying Ralph E Hayes is also pretty good, though the politics in the comics irritated me to the point where I stopped reading them. (Don't know why, since Suicide For Hire is even preachier, but at least that one usually has people preaching while holding the preach-ees at gunpoint, which makes it a lot more fun ...)

Kid Radd (www.kidradd.com) is quite possibly the best sprite comic you will ever read. Now finished.
Casey and Andy (galactanet.com/comic) is a strip about a couple of mad scientists, one of whom is dating Satan. Sometimes they die. Now finished.
Order of the Stick (www.giantitp.com) should need no introduction. It's about a group of characters in a D&D based world, one of the best.
Misfile (www.misfile.com) - due to a cockup in the Celestial Bureacracy, a guy gets turned into a girl, and another girl loses the last year of her life which she spent slogging away to get into Harvard. Hilarity Ensues. Better Than It Sounds.
Schlock Mercenary (www.schlockmercenary.com) is a space opera about a mercenary crew. Has been updating every day without fail since mid-2000. Well worth the epic archive crawl.
Gunnerkrigg Court (www.gunnerkrigg.com) - a story about a school that has a fairly strong connection with magic, where not everything is what it appears.

In preparation for Permission... by
on 2009-01-05 23:10:00 UTC

I realise that it's going to be a while before I can get Permission. By this point, there are so many PPC spinoffs that it's impractical to read them all. So which are the important ones to read to understand the current state of the PPC? I've read TOS, but things have changed since then. Things like Makes Things dying, which I discovered by accident browsing the wiki. What other major changes have there been since the time of Jay and Acacia? And how much leeway does Permission give you with canon? What sort of changes are permissable to make with the basic Permission?

RC Question! by
on 2009-01-05 22:47:00 UTC
Reply
Does anybody know anything about the apparent trend of adding letters after RCs that have the number 32? (32C, 32D) I ask because that's something along the lines of what I'd like to do.
However, I don't want to tread on anyone's toes if it's Their Thing or whatever, so I have been advised to check first to see if it's just a coincidence.
