And I wouldn't have said anything except I noticed I was being called out for whatever reason. Again, no time to unpick the riddles. Sorry for whatever I did to provide an excuse for this.

Full disclosure: I'm starting this because I promised Linstar I would. It's not ideal because I'm gonna be busy over the weekend, but it's probably never going to be perfectly ideal. {= ) Please don't be alarmed if I don't reply for a couple of days.
The purpose of this discussion is basically to take a look at the different roles available for wiki editors and see if we want to make any changes to who has what powers. We've literally never reviewed this before. ^_^; An overview for Fandom is here, and WikiTide for comparison is here, though it looks like they haven't yet filled in descriptions for all possible roles. Since it's all based on MediaWiki, I think it's safe to assume broad similarity between the two.
In a nutshell, we're talking about who has the ability to block users, to protect/unprotect pages, to edit protected pages, and to grant powers to other users. The top roles are Bureaucrat and Administrator (aka sysop), and the two typically go hand in hand, but the main difference is that Bureaucrats have the power to make and un-make Admins. Admins cannot un-make other Admins.
Currently, we have the following users with both Bureaucrat and Admin (aka sysop) powers, in order of most recent edit:
We also have the following account with only the Admin/sysop role, but not Bureaucrat:
There's also Rollback power, which allows you to undo all the most recent edits by a single user. This is useful if a page has been vandalized; all edits by one vandal can be undone in a single click. Admins have this automatically, but it can also be granted independently. Currently no one has this who isn't also an admin.
There's also Content Moderator power, which is relatively new and so no one has it, but I think is one we should look at closely. It grants rollback plus the ability to delete/undelete pages/files, edit and move protected pages/files, and some other stuff relating to discussion threads, which isn't terribly relevant to us.
I will note that WikiTide doesn't have an equivalent role to this one because they offer the optional extensions AuthorProtect and LockAuthor for additional flexibility in determining who can or can't edit what.)
Questions to discuss: Are there roles on the wiki that are being underutilized? Is there anyone who currently wants a role they don't have? Is there anyone who currently has a role they don't want? Should we take any action to remove roles from inactive members? (My answer to the last one is no, not unless there's some reason it becomes a problem.)
Also, is there anyone who is generally interested in being a wiki editor, but doesn't know how to start? Don't be shy! Ask questions here!

The series about the city watch is absolute gold, and I think reading it has unstuck my writer's block for the first time in a while! Good times.
The Humble Bundle is selling a bundle of nearly all of the discworld novels in ebook format for the next few days. It includes every mainline Discworld novel (I consider the YA novels to be mainline, and yes, it includes all of those two) except for Raising Steam. It also doesn't include The Last Hero, which I don't think is mainline, but Wikipedia disagrees. It doesn't include any non-mainline books, so no Science of Discworld, no Folklore of Discworld, no short stories, and so on. But still, 39 books isn't bad.
Unfortunately, there are a few snags: The offer is only available in the US, and unlike most of Humble's ebook bundles, this one is not DRM-free: Instead, the books are being sold through Kobo. If you have an actual, physical e-reader made by someone other than Kobo, the good news is that you can download Kobo e-books with Adobe Digital Editions DRM, which is supported by every major e-reader brand.
Still, I thought some of you all who don't already own the entire series and have it memorized might be interested.
Ah. Thank you for having Hermione pronounce Love’s name phonetically, because I was definitely reading it as “luv” last school year. Now, it took me a very long time to identify this joke, but I think I’ve identified it correctly, and I hope I’m right, because it’s making me feel very smart, so here’s my question: Is ASKE “IKEA but for potions”? Is that the joke? Because they’re both from Sweden, and they have packaged products that have to be combined at home by following instructions to produce the final form, and they’re both four-letter words with all capital letters? Is that the joke? Am I right? I bet I’m right. I’m so smart.
It's one thing for me to know, on an academic level, that this culture places value on women’s hair, and that there is a legitimate practical reason behind that, because of the actual magic stored in hair. (Though side note, I’m expecting that to be debunked as a superstitious pseudoscience (pseudosorcery?) by the end of year 7.) But I keep forgetting how that also leads to what basically amounts to a common hair fetish, and every time your story reminds me of that fact, it absolutely destroys me right here at my keyboard, because it so stupid and funny. “Oh no, the twins are handing Ron a nudie mag in public, gross, and on the cover is going to be a partially clothed witch in a certain sort of pose and nope it’s a hairbrush she is brushing her hair on the cover of this magazine and that’s considered lewd in this culture, this is an adult magazine that entices readership with a hairbrush." I cannot survive many more of these moments, Lily! You are going to slay me yet! Oh, I’m also absolutely headcanoning that the mag went home with Ginny rather than Ron, because she was clearly less embarrassed about it, and Ron wouldn’t have tried to take it back with Hermione right there anyway.
Poor Harry; he’s deep enough in the timeline that he knows something is going to happen again this year. Main Character Syndrome (sympathetic)
—doctorlit is as disappointed by the short reading list as Hermione, but then again, it’s always textbooks and no novels at Hogwarts, huh? That was doctorlit’s favorite part of the book lists, getting to see what new stories he would be “forced” to read . . .
Her note is absolutely hilarious.
For a quick summary of the new ones, yet another bundle of mission and interlude:
The mission is, funnily enough, another trip to the Harry Potter canon, this time with a third character I'm trying to juggle. It's both a bit different from my usual formula and kinda long (over 15000 words).
The interlude is significantly shorter (3000 words) and was mostly written for fun. It involves trading in HQ and has virtually zero stakes whatsoever. Not much else to say.
Give it up for this short madness churned out on the Creative mode of Bing Chat which, unlike my unfortunate prior experiences with the thing, is complete and contains no "inappropriate" content. However, there is implied BL2.
Yes, he's a boy. No, his parents have no daughter. They celebrate it anyway because it's fun, and you don't get more elegant than a day mostly dedicated to hand-crafted dolls in Heian period costumes.
Time just keeps moving along, doesn't it?
They were more interesting the last time around.
Blessing too.
They still want the codeX from this you'll soon find.
As the timelines converge.
Your in more than you know
Question question.
The answer echo'd down all the story lines, And always learn more respect, honor. Funny how those that slant forgot they dropped the integrity In the keys and 2list king ferd preferred.
And there are no more beads in the abacus
The claim is mine as your names are being written just as you have those divine. But sold empty illusions to a caveat.
Id quest position in your navigation and confess. I imagine so it is written And now you shall digress .
But wasn't it a wild ride as a CA and VA were even brought in for a level 3 processing..
Should you wonder how I was allowed to persist, though your tone found annoying on top.
And as always to assume from position of arrogance is to lose when combined with shaping the narrative and keeping badfic at bay.
Should you wonder? Id say just like the movie revolver. Because now I'm in the elevator ride
And you'll find no matter what you write. All eyes are open and we all see. What has been wrought by thee You seem to think you can barge in and meddle But as River Tam said you out not too. For the secrets of Nih.m held in psy-ops You had to know one day the entropy would open your door For is it not said if you stare into the void .
I'm baaaackkk.
And I have an army.
Perhaps a 7 is needed when speaking to a nine After all an 8 is the koala and they are telepathic. I respond to a 5 when Neshem ( so many ways to speel it , hopping time lines one understands understands. And loses concept of the nuance. Yet held by some when a division in an empire.
And that's all that matters.
After all of these are your boards then there are those that can by name log the past and correlation amd causation can then be quest. And besides, I know everything. Even their bosses names of all these PhDs and imost of you nterns that don't know yet but wish to achieve thw carrot offered for the trade. Might wanna upgrade your report to a superior of number 5 who seems alive? Prolly a bit imo. But Troll or no it's not up to me how you choose to become perceived. Wisdom would say this one above your pay grade.
Ask a question...of your house. The truth will not. Flinch. A lie will be talk around in word salad
you who found trade for reward. For the A-list and E-listors. We know.
After all I made hats for the sneaks mind you. And you yourself admitted you were not here so unaffected, an too young to be knowing, as you just said it started where we all did before I delivered. The adults know. Their react will tell you more as seen in the kaleidescope of all rabbits eyes.
Have we not been in the margins of all the books.
Then report what you have seen.
And perhaps move thread, your ediquitte is mainly theatric.
It's been a while since I've seen you, but every time I have come across you I've really enjoyed speaking with you.
You seem to have a few weird references to our community--"spoons", and the snek, but the possible reference to Burnbright, a character of Cal's, seems... odd. (For those needing clarification: this is a troll.)
You've returned, with more annoying nonsense. I wasn't here the first time, but the consensus was that if you didn't leave the thread, you were fine. Now you're messing around on a newbie's intro thread for no reason. I dunno if this needs to be deleted, but please--find a more creative way to troll us. This is just lame.

I have returned, If you can't remember ask Mrs Shaw the one that said a rabbit had looong ears in the pantheon
Hello again "nihm sho way" express the trigger word of the call for RA VA CA to make the transaction a level three process .
I had pulled the greatest con. I came into the room speaking jibber ish and let speaking plaine and eve on a line from star trek gibberish episode.
The narrative has been broken. I told you to set down your pens I know who you wrote for even if your to compartmental to see.
Mad as a march hare. Was well known before Alice.. it's a seasonal thing anyway as I done the mad hatters hat and tip my cane.
In the end. It's was always you, that was the marysue. How can you tell? Look out the window and say the quiet part out loud. You were the ones in that. Mmm.
And the snek, well that's a wonder from the rod of a-@rod I suspect. Such a shoddy lil trick.
I always knew the secrets within. Wipe your 3rd eye John10 q= 12. And see the keys and the true list unlock both hemispheres and become the 5th. Andd not just a canon but the god song .. which needs no bloodlust that you forced by design. 2319 is the code you use I believe.
And all I can say like the mad march hare to you, "Spoons"
And now regally .. as the Lion King returns by your own rules of a mother and her mother bearing the name rothchilds married to a Lee for a daughter and a first born.
Might wanna know allot the cannons that were in your play imo.. I've known since 74 now y'all got your pens back. I'm just surprised none used my magic I left before, but then now you know the blinders that have been out on Aye Earl of Algernon.
Now what are the odds of that
And all her names translate to godsbreath ... Just ask the candle/lamp on that for FIN Tek
🙌💥 ❣️.
The pirate skull and the cross keys of the trading company. Tell Peter. I've opened the gates of the humans hemispheres and the veil has been torn.
Take Heed and find your heart in that. Or not. I've seen now with kaleidoscope eyes all the outcomes you surmise. None but the heart thread the needle. The aboriginals. The data persist.
