Since it's almost Lunar New Year, I'd like to know what special days of the year your agents like, whether in mundane World One cultures or their universes' cultures. Their own birthdays don't count XD

Turns out getting Draco into that bikini and all the subsequent hormonal thoughts was plot-relevant after all ;)
Dolores Umbridge is, unfortunately, only going to get worse from here :P
Lucius feels like Harry's friendship with Draco, which exposed Draco to Forbidden Muggle Culture (tm) and Dangerous Savage Muggles (tm) is a corrupting influence. We'll see more on the Pureblood backlash to Harry and friends' antics this year.
To be completely honest, the way Merlin and Morgana are depicted is based off of how the original worldbuilder described Merlin and Morgana, which is also completely unaligned with how they're portrayed in basically every other adaptation of Arthurian legend! I mean, in the legends, Merlin and Morgana are bitter rivals at best, but in this worldbuilding, they were soulmates created for one another by Mother Magic and Chaos, and are Perfect For One Another in ways that we're supposed to just take at face-value because the author said so. They must be soulmates because her hair matches his face, doc!
But your interpretation is very striking and I'm pretty sure Hermione would analyse it much the same way!
Yes, poor Mrs Figg, and just another bit of someone who's been thrown out by society...
I wouldn't put it past this version of Mr Weasley to try building a TARDIS! One of my friends suggested he and Gary construct a lightsabre hahahaha
Thanks for reading!

I don't think I have any really interesting reflections on the topic that I want to write out, apart from having thought of Bilbo's hundred and eleventh birthday and now dealing with random lines from the chapter pop into my head, but...cheers, I guess, and happy new year. Time feels fake :P
Also, there is an archiving concept called Records Continuum, and while it has pretty much nothing to do with the PPC, my mind absolutely took it and ran a little ways (since refined a bit with Nesh). Just a fun little thing.

Thoughts on the Original Series by

I've reached the halfway point in reading the OS, and have been pleasantly surprised by how entertaining it is. I have also gained newfound appreciations for the "Contrasting characters dynamic" (as clearly seen in the interactions between Jay and Acacia), and Tolkien. It's taking me longer than I expected to read through it; I have been quite busy lately, but reading it has always been worth the time. For those here who have read it (I'm assuming most of you have), I would like to ask what thoughts and impressions* on it are. (Please, no spoilers past Mission 13 if possible.)
*I don't know if I used that word right, but never mind.

I’m amused by the running gag of Naomi running into Kaito in places he shouldn’t be and just kind of brushing it off. It makes sense, with her familiarity with The Simpsons, that she wouldn’t be bothered by characters in that universe being wacky and unrealistic. (Not realizing, of course, that Kaito isn’t really a resident of Springfield.)
I really loved the scene where Tanner tried to explain the cosmology of the PPC universe to Kaito, stumbling over more and more complex metaphors until finally giving up and just psychically zapping the info straight into Kaito’s head. (And I rather suspect that last effort failed anyway, since Kaito still seems quite lost!)
I feel like Kaito’s delaying of the assassination, and his general failure to grasp what missions are and how they work, is maybe getting drawn out a little too long. I know we’re only through “part 1” right now, but the fact that I know Kaito’s impression of the PPC as a hit squad that will punish him lethally isn’t accurate, makes it hard for me to have much empathy for his emotional state right now. The stakes he’s imagining aren’t really there, and it’s breaking my immersion in the story, and giving it an overly serious and anxious tone.
Typos:
First off, you’ve really got to double-check your superscripts and footnotes before you publish your links. A lot of the footnote numerals in this section haven’t been switched to superscript font, and there are some superscripts and footnotes that aren’t paired with anything. Obviously, no one can catch every error in their work, but I feel like most of these should have been caught on a second read-through.Ned took Naomi to the couch and assured her he still liked him.
“her”"Mhm," Kaito nodded.
Separate paragraphs for separate speakers.Kaito stared at the cat that was his partner as it kneaded the ground to wipe the front off.
I’m not sure, but is that supposed to be “wipe the foam off”?—doctorlit personality is composed only of “To-Do List,” “Perfectionism” and “Daydreaming”

I'll admit I'm not done reading the first... book? Part? I'm not done reading the first part yet, but this Hermione su(r)e is smashing everything she comes across. Notably, if there's no opportunity to look awesome, she'll risk her wellbeing to create one. Looking at the collective loss of braincells experienced by the goblins at Gringotts here.
I need a break. This is too diluted.

This was quite an intense courtroom scene! I suppose I knew in my head Harry would be let off again, but it really wasn’t looking very good. The bias against Harry and the witnesses was practically flowing down the Wizengamot seats in liquid form. (And Lord Avery can go swallow a sofa, please and thank you.) And even worse . . . she is back. I just do not want to read any more of that wretched Dolores Umbridge, ever again. She is such a gross, heartless beast of a person . . . but I know from the story’s intro blurb that she’ll be appearing at Hogwarts later, so, yay. Going to have to buy some chocolate to get through those chapters. (It’s not just for Dementors, you know!) I love that you wrote it so that Lucius has to step in and save Harry in order to save face! He’s just such a brat about it, though. And his comment about “turning my boy into one of your filthy lap dogs,” . . . Is that really how he views Harry’s friends? Or . . . all friendships? Dang. That’s the trouble with the authoritarian mindset; every relationship has to be turned into a hierarchy to fit.
Ooooh, the statue . . . it’s like a combination of the regular Ministry statue and the bad-guys-controlling-the-Ministry statue. Gross! And even grosser, I’m interpreting the black-and-white segments of the witch and wizard to representative of how they “fit together” in a traditional hetero bond, with the witch’s hair complementing the wizard’s magic. Which also implies that both figures are only valuable for their magic energy, which implies the witch is mostly useless, other than some man using her as a battery. Gross! Gross gross gross!
Interesting choice, saying Mrs. Figg is a member of the Pureblood house of Crabbe! I’m glad it got the cruddier Wizengamot members all sad and upset!
One thing, about the line:
“He glanced up at Lord Malfoy again, but the older man’s expression remained impassive and cold.”
It might be my cold throwing off my reading comprehension, but I think this is the first time Harry looks at Lucius during the hearing, so the “again” is out of place?—doctorlit forgot about the call box entrance to the Ministry, and spent about four seconds thinking Mr. Weasley had constructed a functioning TARDIS when it landed in the fireplace entryway
(Edited the title because I typed the chapter number wrong)

Hi there!
I've been a long-term reader and figured it's time I signed up for the wild ride. Discovered the PPC many years ago, don't remember how I
lockpicked the door tofell into this rabbit hole. Read the constitution and board FAQ, so I'm fairly sure I won't mess up. Continua I'm familiar with include, but are not limited to, Lord of the Rings (movies only, reading in progress), Inheritance Cycle (guilty pleasure), Harry Potter and My Little Pony. Favorite PPC author would be Iximaz, Zeb's just such a sweetheart. On the topic of writing, while I do have previous experience, I lacked decent beta-readers so far. Started an MLP fanfic a long time ago, but never finished it because I was ashamed of the lazy execution after a few weeks and just didn't have the energy to rewrite it. I also experimented with short stories in a private shared universe at one point. So, really, I don't know if I'm a decent writer. English is not my native language, but I read and use it a lot.
I think that sums it up. Nice to meet you all.

P.S. Would very much like a link to the Discord.

I have the good fortune of having a beta reader who's trained in English law, so we got to rework the hearing and hearing prep to give Harry a bit more of a role. Also it was funny to have the bikini end up factoring into the proceedings, as you see in Marlene's strategy... and in the next chapter!
Yes, Regulus is taking a bit more of the mentor role than in the books, since Sirius is still a bit messed up from Azkaban. And finally Mr Weasley gets to have Muggle friends!!
Thanks for reading <3
