Similarly, how about Claimed Badfic? by

I ask because some of the fics there have also been sitting there a long time, and some of them were claimed by people who have either officially moved on (Tawaki) or just haven't been seen in a long time. Would it make sense to revert them to the Unclaimed list if the claimant hasn't been seen in a year or more?
I do think it would be all right to remove old fics from the Unclaimed list, too. In most cases, either they're claimed straight from the Board or they aren't at all.
(When editing either list, please remember to remove empty categories and alphabetize entries!)

I suppose I was thinking more of metafics that deal with bad writing and such. So to answer your actual question... well, same answer, really: It's hard to write connected stories when there are inherent contradictions, so most of the time it's live and let live. At least as far as I know.
As I recall, we did get in touch with another Sue-sporking community a few months ago, but not much came of it other than:
"Hi!"
"Hi!"
"I see you mock bad writing - so do we!"
"Greetings, comrade! Feel free to come talk to us whenever you like!"
"Will do. Same to you!"
And that was about it.

That said, a fic like this can be done well, but if Frodo's suddenly speaking Modern American English or chows down on McDonalds, the chances for that plumment.

Why on earth did I read the entire thing through? I could hear my brain cells scream as they died...
Think Nostalgia Chick's reaction to the final battle scene in Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, and you pretty much have an idea of what my brain did while reading this.

Lots of the canons we protect have conflicting details; I guess that the other organizations could theoretically exist as separate Word Worlds. I don't think it makes a fic count as killed if a non-PPC group sporked it, though (although that would get Naga Eyes out of our hair).

I've almost got it stuck in my mind that I am going to have to do a story like this--in goodfic form. I really don't read things that I think can never be done well. It's just that some of them that have the potential to be good rarely are.

Hijacking thread for a question by

I too noticed how much work you were putting in (particularly when it was only your name showing up on the recent changes page). I didn't worry so much about what you were doing to the wiki, that seemed pretty clear, but whether you weren't neglecting your RL.
As for the question alluded to in this message's subject:
I've a question I asked a while ago on the talk page of the Unclaimed badfic page. Perhaps no one noticed because of the above mentioned reason. My question was whether it was a good idea to remove fic from the Unclaimed list if it had been on that list for more than 18 months. It would keep the list (more) manageable, and I figure if it hasn't been claimed in 18 months, it may never be.
I've also checked between the current list and the list on 1 Jan 2009 (roughly 18 months ago), and saw that 65 fics had been on the list for more than 18 months. Less than 20 fics that were on the list on 1 Jan 2009 had been taken off the list, and almost half because their link was dead.
I don't think the Unclaimed badfic list should be a place holder for badfic (we've got FFnet for that). It should be a place were PPC'ers can report badfic that they for whatever reason can't write a mission on themselves. If the badfic is still there after a prolonged period of time, apparently no one else can or wants to write a mission about it, and perhaps it would be best to just let the badfic get lost in oblivion (i.e. remove it from the Unclaimed list).
Any comments? Yay, Nay?

If I were a wolf, I'd be growling over my kill-to-be right now.
...Hoo boy. Nearly a full-cast exorcism, navigating Generic Surface, an emergency trip to Medical, and since Odin has developed a personality, emotions and lips, I think I get to kill a giant mecha character replacement that can shoot lightning around. This'll be a challenge of a mission.

It's possible for people to look like each other even though they're built completely differently. I've never read Huckleberry Finn, though, so I have no idea how Huck's described.
That doesn't stop the premise from being patently ridiculous. Stupid bamfics.

At least, I don't think they do... I'm talking about the ACMSES, and stuff like those. Some might have conflicting "canon", but since ninety percent of accepted Sueology is theory anyway, I don't really see how that matters...

Phew! Bet you're glad that mission's over with! Here's to having good old asexual Holmes back.
I noticed a couple of minor errors in the turtle mission:
In the paragraph where Kelok breaks the Sue's arm, he "was finding it hard to breath." Breath should be breathe.
When Unger is telling Kelok how the nurses fixed up Moriarty, he says, "They're magic is strong!" They're should be their.

I too had noticed the problem with organization and missing missions on certain pages, but unfortunately I got absorbed in a new project before I could get around to doing anything about it.
