Thanks for everything! I really like the scarf, it reminds me of one that a friend has in RL (well, except for the seventeen foot long part.)
I've started writing my agent intro for when I get permission, and I have a few questions. There's an Agent Tristan on the list of response centers, but he doesn't have a page, and I can't find him anywhere else. Is it alright if I name an agent Tristan? And would singing Taylor Swift's 'You Belong with Me' in HQ get me shot at? If not, what would? Would Nickleback be alright to sing?

I take it upon myself to extend welcomes from the entire army of newbies that has assaulted this board over the past month. Unfortunately I just gave away my last stuffed Emu, but I've got a toy rat named Roger that you can have instead.

Whew! No more mad scientist kitty cats. That is a relief.
That is so cool about the scarf. In Real Life I want to learn how to knit, primarily so I can make of these.

Shuffle Drabble: LJ Comm! by

I just started a new writing community on LJ, mostly to see what will happen.
It's called Shuffle Drabble, and is based around writing drabbles to songs that come up on shuffle. The community itself is nearly, very nearly anything goes, in that fanfiction and original fiction are both allowed.
If you're interested, why not join and give it a try?

Also, tassels! Bat..bat bat bat.
(On a more serious note, I have actually crocheted a 16 foot Dr Who scarf. Makari can attest to this.)
Wings...sometimes, but only one.
Opposable thumbs? I am an amoeba cat. I can make my body morph at will. So, yes.
I'm unfortunately not cunning enough to have leanings towards mad science. I'm more a "smash first, ask questions later" type gal. (My weapon of choice is Vera.)

I was thinking that his involved a lowish ranking Harper stuck up in Fort Hold. Thread was about to start falling and the whole schtick for can not let the dragon riders help was that the dragons will not die from this, but the weyr folk will, and it will wreak havoc with the weyrs ability to fight thread. Let me think for specific incidents...
The preschool age child of the Lord Holder lives, but the teenage daughter that the low ranking Harper liked died. She was the reason he was up there. They had been fooling around, and he was due to get yelled at or something along those lines.
Once people start getting over it, they are starving, and the Harper boy gets a message to the weyrs to have them bring food supplies, and the dragons do air drop missions.

...then again, purr-haps not. Have you ever lost anything while petting me? (Besides your will to do anything else, that is. I am quite an adorable kitty.)
*tries to attach leash to collar*

*ties one end of leash to paw, other end to brain*
There! (Though I might release my brain from the leash on occasion -- you know, to spice things up. Mmm. Spicy brains.)

Hello! Have a seventeen foot long, multi-colored, wool, knit scarf (curly wig not included), and a bag of jelly babies.
I added extra tassels onto the ends of yours, so it will make a better kitty toy. :D
Please use themIRresponsibly!
You do not have wings or opposable thumbs or any leanings toward mad science, do you?

I don't know what you've already read, of course, but there are a few things you should definitely make time for. First, there is the Original PPC Series by Jay and Acacia. It is our canon and that which started it all.
Second, we require that everyone read and abide by the Board Constitution, because it's nicer that way.
After that, there are several helpful documents on the Wiki designed to help acquaint newcomers with us and our habits and behaviors and general weirdness. Sedri's Guide to the PPC is particularly informative, especially when combined with the FAQ for Newbies and the Mission Writing Guide. If you do want to write PPC missions, you should also see the article about how to get Official Permission.
And that's probably quite enough to start with. {= ) Welcome! Have a bumper-sticker! *sticks one on you* ^__^

"[He] is white and British (when he isn't gray and furry)" is probably one of the best lines I have heard. Mind if I adapt it slightly to fit my agent (also a werewolf) when I start describing him? I'll give you credit for it!
By the way, how do you (anyone) spells the "oo" sound someone makes when they like something? I am having a lot of trouble with it.

For me, the wiki used to be black/red (though not as much as it was after the Sues), but it is now the white/blue default skin. I am using the "Let the admins override my skin choice" option (wouldn't it be nice if that could be different on each wiki?) and see other sites differently, so it should not be a problem on my end. Can someone fix this?
