KILL.
One question- does anyone know what the Minis for HDM are? Because I glanced at the first chapter for two seconds and found one already.

Now I want to try something like that.
Because I currently hate all my fanfiction and I can't find anything to make a good mission, so my writer's brain is going a little haywire.
And that sounds really fun. Where did you get your generator?

I once tried writing a fic entirely in Suevian. It knocked my into a coma for a week when I reread it.

Some of you may have been aware of the Fantasy Plot Generator posted earlier on this board, and the characters one run through of it pulled up, including Heist the Porcupine, The Foot Kestrel, and the unforgettable Max Ranger.
Well, I have seen to it that the trio get their own original series, based on pulpy fantasy novels with a little bit of noir thrown in for good measure, and now the first two chapters of the epic series is up here on LiveJournal - http://pigeon-army.livejournal.com/2541.html. ENJOY, MY BRETHREN!

A couple of questions. by

As I said on Fichunter's thread just now, I'm finally going to take the plunge and apply for Permission, but there are a couple of things I need to know first.
1. Can I claim http://striga-kun.deviantart.com/art/1-The-Girl-Who-Shouldn-t-81217488>this piece of schtick? The 'Sue is awful, and when it turned up on Pottersues, I hated it beyond belief.
2. Would it be permissible to post something that isn't fiction per se for my writing sample? The reason I ask this is because I have no fanfiction at all, but I have an essay that I've written - it's http://wilver-and-ecru.livejournal.com/3293.html#cutid1>here if you're interested. Basically, it's the only thing I can think of to use as a writing sample, since everything else I've written makes me cringe.
Also, could anyone who helped voice the PPC radio play tell me how you did the voices for the Flowers? I want to start voicing my parts as soon as possible, but I can't if I don't know how to do this. Thanks!

there was a kid called Arwen joining reception the year before I left. My sensibilites were offended because she didn't look anything like Liv Tyler. *is a blasphemer, and watched the movies before reading the books. Hey, I was seven!*

And now I'm going to completely go back on myself, because after lying awake most of last night, I had plenty of opportunities to think things over.
So, I've decided to apply for Permission. Your responses had quite a big part to do with it - after convincing myself you weren't just saying all this to be kind (and it sounded as if you were sincere; I'm just really paranoid sometimes), I decided that first thing tomorrow morning I'd ask a couple of questions about applying for Permission. If I can post something that isn't fiction per se as my writing sample, I'm good to go. Watch out for the top of the board, I'm gonna be inundating the board with questions.
Also, thanks for those who have said 'Writing 'Sues is a natural stage of writing'. I accpet that, it was more that I misinterpreted it when I wrote my second 'Sue - I figured that good writers only ever wrote one. I was wrong. My bad. :P

Like the CCS character then. I actually kinda like that name but I don't think I could get away with naming a kid that outside of China. What "normal" moniker did you end up using? I had a few Asian friends in Australia and one was called "Nii" but she told everyone her name was Jessica.
