I'd pick Soldier to go with Sailor, but that's just me.
Captain, maybe?

Help for puppy name? by

I've ended up with a young German Shepherd puppy. Little underweight boy since my friend found him and he was probably born in the desert.
I was originally going to name him Squid, but my dad doesn't like that name. I have no idea why not, since Squid is a perfect name.
So, I entreat all the Boarders for suggestions since I can't think of any and I'm trying to stick with a nautical/marine type theme to go with our other dog, Sailor.
I have already told Trojie I am not going to name the dog "Captain", "Jack", "Sparrow", or any combination of those, or after any of the main characters of PotC, and have already downed her suggestion of "Earendil". And several other Middleearth names.
So any suggestions? XD

Here! Have a stack of chocolate and a silver pen and a pony and a sack of potatoes and a ring and a powerpoint presentation and a FF.N account and a spork and a courtesy LJ account and a fish and a bicycle and, of course... a TRANSDIMENSIONAL POCKET KNIFE!
(heee... I love those things)
And I second Pads; it'll be much creepier when you come out on the other end. MUCH creepier.
Happy Birthday!

Here, have a Redeemer. Nothing says 'I'm now a teenager' like fiery thermonuclear death. Just make sure that you and anyone you care about (or don't want to see die, in any case) is out of the blast radius.

Don't worry about asking for Permission. You can do so whenever you like - look at me, I joined in February and only asked now. So it's no big deal.
Have fun being a teenager. :D

Ah, 13. Your brain chemicals are about to go completely doolally. Enjoy it; it's fun. And if you think being a teenager is a strange prospect, believe me when I say it'll be weirder still, in seven years, when you suddenly realise you're not one.

OT: Back briefly from hiatus to announce a ... something by

Um.
Okay. This is both good news (ish) and bad news and both of them I'm only posting here because I've seen other people doing so. The Good News Ish is that, by dint of today being August 3rd, I am now a thirteen-year-old; or, more exactly, will be in *looks at clock* about four hours. React as you see fit. (This birthday may also result in me getting a LiveJournal, as no longer I'll have to lie about my age, but we'll see.)
The bad news is that I still haven't gotten my act together to ask Permission. I wanted to do so before my birthday, but ah well.
And, a note: this would also be the birthday of my agent-to-be, Ciri. She'd be 14, though she's born on the same day as me. Just an FYI.
*suddenly realizes what she's saying* Omigods. I'm a TEENAGER!
As I said, react as you see fit ^^

I had an English teacher called Gaynor. She said her husband only married her because her name sounded Arthurian. She was really nice, but the butt of a few jokes. And we also had a Latin teacher called Miss Gaillard, and everyone thought it was pronounced 'Gaylord' before she told them how it was pronounced.

I am at my first hostel in Tokyo. It is so hot am muggy here. It feals as if you are walking up against a wall when you leave any air conditioned area.
Had a great flight (even though it was delayed an hour and a half), now I am going to colapse before I fall asleep walking.
Night all.

My real name is Maia, after the mother of Hermes in Greek mythology. It's unusual enough that I used to hate it, but now I've gotten to the point where I like not having the same name as everyone else around. ...Though I get a like embarrassed about it when introducing myself to fellow LotR geeks.
