In the Protectorate of Borrd, I've finally decided to name those rivers. Phobos established something of a theme, with Grammar + Punctuation = Good Writing; I've tried to continue that. From the mountains to the sea, we have:

Karaktar (Character) + Chekin ('checking' - ie, research) => Plaht (plot); Plaht + Lhawjeck (Logic; this one wasn't mine) => Staurilyn (story line); Staurilyn + Gudryting => Gotfik (goodfic)

It's not a perfect map of 'how to write goodfic' - but it's pretty decent for what it is, I think.

The map also shows the Pass of the Five, the main (or only) pass from Borrd to Ozerbord. I might write the epic tale of the Quest of the Five someday; suffice to say that, though only two reached the Font of Bulapka, three of them became barons, and a fourth is a Duchess-in-Exile. Apparently it was character-building. ;)

And finally, new developments in Barony Huinesoron - the town of Critta' has been joined with the village of Kalthin to become the port town Critta-Kalthin ('critical thinking'). We're hoping to start some new trade routes out of there, to reinvigorate the economy; possibly we'll be contacting the northern lands such as Ydyff.

~Baron Huinesoron (in mapmaking mode)

(PS: The maps in the Cyclopaedia have been updated to show all the roads now; I should have done this earlier, but, um, didn't)
