If so, do so. If not, don’t. You can always give her character growth—maybe she recognizes her Sueishness and is trying her best to not be a Sue.

If she’s a replacement with a non-canon but still-interesting personality, you could recruit her.
Honestly, it’s up to you. If this is your first mission/permission request, you do as you see fit. I’m completely unfamiliar with the canon, so I can’t help you with the OOC, but that’s my two cents.
Hope this was somewhat helpful, and nice to see you on the Board! Please visit often.

A couple days ago. I had to read the first one too, but. . .
I really liked it. Cassie is a fun character. I like that the Usual Ten kinda resemble the PPC but are clearly different.
Unless Ben’s boss is a sentient flower.I’m looking forward to seeing more of the characters and the world.

Having a bit of a dilemma over how to deal with a character in a badfic by

Writing
Badfic report
Reply
So I'm making plans for a badfic mission, the start of which would be my permission request. However I'm feeling a bit conflicted on what to do about one of the characters in it.
So it's a yandere simulator fic with "references to" a.k.a crossovers with a bunch of other places. The main sue is Pakura who you'll probably recognize if you're on the discord server because I love inflicting the PAL series on people. In short she's a god mode sue with her own pokemon region who hops dimensions, adopting canon characters and turning them into edgy royalty. This Yandere Simulator fic is one of the shorter and more tolerable fics in the series.
I suppose since there's not much personality to work with in canon, and what personality there is is already pretty edgy they didn't actually have to change Ayano's character as much as some others. The whole "ultimate cosplayer" thing is still a bit off though. However the reason I'm conflicted about what to do with her at the end of the fic is that outside of Pakura's influence she's actually a half decent character. She has some pretty good moments of introspection about her lack of emotions (before it turns back into yet another paragraph extolling the virtues of her amazing mother) and in chapter two she even has some mildly entertaining and fairly in character interactions with the canon characters now that Pakura's a whole ocean away. There are times where she seems to be conflicted about how she's supposed to become a maniac for her senpai. Unlike Pakura's various other adopted children she's actually less murderous than her canon counterpart.
I'm thinking either way I'll end it at the end of chapter one since there's more than enough insanity there, including ripping off a ton of other continua, dragging an Ash Ketchum replacement into all of this, forcing Ayano into an arranged marriage with her adoptive cousin for kinda sexist protection purposes and giving her a really long name that even she seemed to think was stupid to name a few things. Chapter two puts a lot more focus on the canon characters and a lot less on Pakura and the quality improves quite a bit because of that. There's just some fluffy slice of life stuff with Ayano's emotionlessness playing off quite well with Taro, Osana and Raibaru.
So I'm thinking I have a couple options here. Either this is the canon yandere chan, just severely ruptured by Pakura's influence in which case she'd just get neuralyzed and plonked back at Akademi after the sues got assassinated. If this is a replacement then I could kill her, but after rereading the fic I'm doubting whether or not she's bad enough to deserve that, especially once Pakura's removed from the equation. If she doesn't die, I guess I could either have her integrate back with the canon as a minor character or something or recruit her to the PPC. I think she could potentially work as an interesting agent and I already have a few ideas for plots and arcs if I decide to recruit her.
Of course I need to get permission first so any of this would be a fairly long way away but what are people's thoughts on this?

Thanks for the comments! I will say that there are answers to all the unresolved questions, and they will be written Soon(tm).
I'm not targeting Raven (who hasn't been on the internet for at least 12 years), it is simply that I'm Not Okay and Ghost of You are the closest things I could get to sporking My Immortal, as they were written by the latter's editor. Of course, that is all she wrote, so I can't spork anything else of hers even if I wanted to.
I will also say that PPC badfic happens during the Badfic Games, and September is only a few days away...
Typos have been corrected!
—Ls, happy someone is reading what he wrote.
P.S. There just might be an RC V mission soon...

So ^_^ is kaomoji, but :-) is... not.
Wikipedia wants emoticon to mean any text faces, with kaomoji as a subset. It also uses smiley to mean non-kaomoji emoticons, because :). It then takes emoji to mean any which are actual pictures, and describes them as evolving from emoticons (while asserting that the similar words are just coincidence).
It drags in the Wingdings font as an early example of emojis, and mentions the use of them in MSN Messenger back in the early aughts - but states that the MSN "emoji" toolbar was by the Smiley Company, and referred to them as smileys!
The only thing that's clear is that the pictoral Unicode characters, and the various replacements for them on websites (Twitter and Facebook both replace them with their own custom art) are definitely emoji, and that the whole field is deeply confusing.
hS
(PS: Kinda want to create a future alphabet which has evolved from emoji in the same way as Egyptian deimotic evolved from hieroglyphics... only problem is I don't think emoji have yet become verbal, there being no agreement on which one is pronounced "lol".)

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -9.79
My steady leftward stride continues, though I am also becoming more anarchist in my expressed beliefs. I don't quite know what this means in the context of hS's new map lore - I shall have to read more about them later. =]

I wonder about the Dead & Heal mission. by

Miss Cam never wrote a mission with Dead & Heal, but she did write a mission. We'll see it officially when we get to November, but since I happen to have it handy:
Special Sue Unit: Whatever Happens
Starring Cass Orange, Skuld Taipan, and King Kong Comma (who rules all commas). They sit in a weird place in PPC history - Skuld is Miss Cam's sister, Cass shares a surname with my own Alex Orange, and KKC must have some relation to the Uncommon Comma, but what? It also establishes that OFUM grants official, specific degrees ("I majored in Grammar and Temporal Anomalies, and minored in Mary Sues"), which is something Cam can of course do, but I don't remember seeing elsewhere.
And... it's a Suefic. I do wonder whether Skuld and Cass are Dead and Heal reworked, and "Whatever Happens" is the 'possible worst Sue ever' Cam mentioned in her A/N. It looks like the mission was a cowrite with someone named Lotus, but whether she was also responsible for Heal is unknown. Per the original page, the SSU deal with "the worst of Sues", so it's certainly possible.

This is the lower-left quadrant of the Political Compass, with PolitiScales results mapped as usual (Left = Communist, down = Progressive).
I have not moved around very much. ^_^ My Political Compass result this year shares both values almost exactly with previous readings (combining 2016 & 2014), while my PolitiScales is literally sitting on top of... er, 2810, apparently? 2018, in your Earth years.
Meanwhile Kaitlyn is pushing further down and left every year. She hasn't moved much this time, but given that she's at 2.5 x 3.5, she hasn't got much left to move to.
EDIT: Note mostly to self - Kaitlyn has just done the Political Compass and landed on -8.75 / - 8.36. That falls at 6.25 / 8.20 on this plot, which is way down and left for a Compass plot. Though not as far as Scape's, I believe.

Sir,
I am pleased to report that our staunchest ally has landed. The green-and-orange of Kaitlyn flies over the south-western peak of Plortitics, and their planes have already taken to the skies. With our joint commitment to the Great Regulation, we will (assisted as always by the GMA) swiftly sweep the anarchists of doctorlit from the map, and consolidate our position by bring the Lilies and Neshomeh to either alliance or destruction.
And in the meantimes Linstar and co will no doubt obtain their magical relics and enact their plans with absolutely no opposition. The Left does love to tear itself apart, don't we?

Ah, the first real look into how a slash mission functions! (I think; this project has gone on so long, it's hard to keep track of all the firsts any more!) Funny that it's actually a mission for the Department of Emergencies, even though it would probably be seen as a pretty straightforward mission nowadays. It must be the threat to Legolas's life after the fact that justified that designation to the authors. And that, of course, connects with Doctor Fitzgerald's shock at having a canon character brought to Medical; since that wasn't a norm back then, any mission where a canon was in active mortal peril would have been seen as a greater emergency, since using Medical wasn't considered a solution. Until, of course, it was! Which may have contributed to argument to dissolve the DE once the concept of the Department of Floaters started to gain ground.
The . . . particular topic of this mission is tricky to work into a PPC mission. Since part of the job is to watch to collect charges . . . yeah. I see Jay and Cam got around that problem by basically starting the mission portion in media res, so that it was already time to intervene. Yeah, not much else to say there.
Oh, hey, the DE had its own cantina? I wonder if it services the SpecOps Division nowadays, or if too much of the DE's staff moved to other areas of HQ, and it's just unaffiliated now?
Aw. Miss Cam said she was working on a Daed-and-Heal mission, but I guess that never got finished . . .
