Clearly my realistic mindset is not compatible with most of the PPC, heh. I can't have something done not be done for an expedient, sensible, logical reason. Hence me arguing that making a Division solely to give ol' DLG a job wouldn't have a point and wouldn't be a thing the Flowers would do. Especially since, to be honest, there aren't exactly a lot of villain!Sues (not saying evil!Sues because, by our definitions, all Sues are evil). Maybe Flowers practice nepotism? DLG shows up, he's an old friend of one of the higher-up Flowers, said Flowers sets it up so DLG gets a job as head of a new division? I could make the Division and agents fairly easily, though unlike some divisions/departments it'd be open to any and all.

Two to six people (not including me) sounds promising.
As far as times, locations, and activities go, I'm pretty much willing to let someone else make the suggestions. I don't much care for "tourist" stuff in general, and I think my class is doing some of that, like the Tower of London. Anyway, I'm up for any cool stuff on or off the beaten path. I assume I'll get the hang of the train/bus system pretty quickly, so no worries about that. We get passes to use. We're staying in Bayswater, if that helps.

I'll reserve judgment on Twilight itself, much less crossovers involving it. However...I couldn't even get through the first chapter of that fic.

Anyway...I've got a few suggestions. But I'm not entirely certain what the policy is on continua that lack minis. Could someone possibly enlighten me?

I'm pretty excited to see the movie, but I do like knowing what will be different. Hopefully I'll be able to keep my inner nitpicker under control. As long as this adaptation isn't like The Seeker then I think I'll be fine.

It wouldn't be completely unheard of for a Division to be made simply to give a particularly cool Flower a place - while I can't think of any examples of exactly that off the top of my head, I would like to point out the existence of the two different Repetition/Redundancy departments, created simply for the joke of it.
In fact, we only *have* Flowers as the bosses because Jay and Acacia thought that their friend's picture of a sunflower in a suit was just too cool, random or wacky or whatever NOT to have a place.
Don't forget that we're not actually fighting some logical battle against a logical enemy - if we think that something like a Dark Lord Geranium is just so cool that it should have a place, I for one would not be at all surprised at the creation of a division for it to supervise.
We do stuff cos it's cool, a lot of the time, not just for expedient or sensible reasons.
I appreciate your point that there wouldn't be a *heap* for such a Division to do if we left things as they are, but if such a Division was created, then of course all cases of Evil!Sues that the DMS currently assigns to whoever would then go to that Division and be dealt with seperately, much as pre-Division of Bad Het, bad het stories went to whoever was best equipped to deal with them. Now that we *have* that Division, bad het stories go there instead of going where they would otherwise have gone.

I was a bit worried when the first professional reviews came out (they are quite mixed), but all in all it looks like it will be a good film. The user rating at the Internet Movie Database is 8.5/10 (based on 3451 votes) as I type this, which is more than satisfactory for such a difficult adaptation.
At the risk of being burned at the stake by a hundred rabid Alan Moore fans, I thought the Watchmen comic was only good, not OMG TEH BEST COMIC EVAR!!!!!1
But, with my faith renewed, I'll certainly go see the film.

My first impression: Whoever came up with that soundtrack should be fired. Out of a cannon. "Hallelujah" for the Archie R-rated sequence? Seriously?
Secondly, the people who designed and built Archie deserve a huge raise. Archie was just like he was in the book, but better.
I wasn't that impressed by the ending. The line "Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends." from Jon is what finally breaks Adrian in the comics, and I was disappointed that it wasn't used for the same effect.
Also, what happened to Hollis? We didn't see him get killed, we don't see him in the resolution, he's just a dangling end.
Final nitpick: What's with Nite Owl's "NOOOOOO!!!!1!!"? He randomly follows Rorschach, sees him killed, and then yells "NOOOOO!!!!"... and then stops, gets up, and walks inside. Anticlimactic, muchly?
Okay, one more. No squid-beast-thing. :(
Overall grade: A. Most of my complaints are with the cinematography rather than the book-to-movie conversion, so that's a point in its favor. The shooting seemed clunky at times, but the fight choreography was smooth and beautiful. The whole 300-esque messing-with-time bit in fights was done just right.

So, yes, I am paranoid about my new fandom. That led to the creation of the Official Fanfiction University of Battlestar Galactica. Credit, of course, goes to the lovely Miss Cam.
This isn't really a full story, but rather a series of drabbles and scenes. The reason is because I can't write chaptered stories. Really. They often end up being put on near-permanent hiatus. So if anyone with the knowledge wants to take a look and craft it into a coherent story, feel free to ask.
Here's the link to the OFU.

Upstairs doesn't create an entirely new Department or Division for the sole purpose of giving a Flower a job, after all.

With that in mind...arcane torrent alone probably wouldn't dispel the size increase (as I mentioned, he's seventy feet tall by the time they get there).
Now, they could just drop him through a portal as planned (need a big one). But I'm guessing one should still charge even demon!Sues before killing them. And the pre-existing size increase makes it a bit difficult to charge him without getting swatted like flies, or ensure that the other demons to whom he's being turned over know just why he's been a naughty boy. (Thinking someone writes "DRAENEI-LOVER!" on him with a permanent marker.)
Then, we have the Anchorite!Sue. Several solutions will be suggested (including turning her over to the Auchenai or to a less affable man'ari eredar) but all will be rejected on the suspicion that she'd somehow either win them over or just supplant them. As it is, I have two possibilities for her final fate. Still balancing them in my mind.

The point is, as a Division/Department it would have nothing to contribute. Evil sues or fics are not common enough to require a new Division or Department. It would have the exact same job.
