Well, I dunno, but everything about Aly bugged me. I mean, beautiful, excellent hand-to-hand combatant, speaks with Gods, you name it, she can pretty much do it. I mean, sure, with her parents being the Lioness and George, maybe, but she shouldn't inherit all of her parent's particular gifts. She didn't have The Gift though, which is a mixed blessing.
I liked Daine, actually. I suppose I sorta forgave her 'Sue tendancies when TP made the interaction with animals interesting. It's not often you see a story where they go in-depth about the 'Can Dos' and 'Can't Dos' about the magic, particularly something like Wild Magic.
But Kel is, hands down, my favourite Tortall Character. Will I get sporked if I say that Tortall, in particular, the time period that it is in 'Lady Knight' is gonna be in my crossover fanfic?

*Buries in a mountain of assorted Bleepolate and Bleepolate Liqeuors* Welcome to the PPC! If you find a few nuts and bolts around, they're probably mine. Welcome to the PPC though, prepare to claw your eyes out with sporks, or overdose on Bleeprin. Whichever comes first.
Oh, and by the way, if you ever get a link to That Series, or C*l*b*i*n, never, EVER go out and find them, or click on that link. That is a horror form which you may never recover.
Anyways, welcome again! (From the Aussie who woke up at 5:30am completely refreshed and energetic)

*deep breath* Convenient Towels are like normal towels but they change to whatever color you want when you're first given them and they tend to pop up when you need them and I hope you've read the Hitchhiker's Guide so you'll understand just how useful Deus-Ex-Machina towels are...
Phew.
So... What fandoms are you planning on covering? I assume from the mini-Balrog reference you know what you're getting into, but someone better at this than me is likely to shower you with links soon.
May your edged weapons stay sharp; may you always know the truth, and may its light shine on you; may you have luck and success in all your endeavors* --
and, hey, what fandoms are you planning on covering?

Admittedly that's very late of me...
*starts singing* Se gustan, son novios, se... What? They sing that all the time at me. Can't I sing it at Boarders?
That aside, I wish you... I wish you... *racks brain for a clever way to say something* I wish you many many many times more fortune in your relationship than any of my classmates have had in theirs! Ah wait, that sounded odd...
Forget it. Good luck, and Felicidades, and I'll leave it at that.

But convincing my mom, who doesn't even know I frequent forums and such, to let me go would be hell.
Still, if I can attend and there is one I'll do my very very best to go. 'm afraid I can't travel though. At least, not for several years.
C
*The dates are, um, are, um... arriving July 16 and leaving August 8, I think. So anything inbetween those could be attendableish.

Possibly because I'm so fond of Tortall-verse magic, four whole books without one of the things I liked best were hard. Then again, I appear to have very little judgement on this kind of thing. I'll nose out of the discussion, but that's my two cents. (Take them, and, here, have a grain of salt.)

Wait, Dafydd retired. Whoops.
Um... Yeah, my point no longer stands. But that seems closeish to a new character; if Dafydd was a different character, then I bet this one is too.
But I might be wrong.

But there haven't been too many volatile subjects on the Board of late, so I guess it's sort of faded into the background.

I avoid Bible-fic like the plague because it really, really makes me uncomfortable, and PPC-ing it would just feel like having my nose shoved in it.
