I was reading out of a field guide on birds found in the western united states. Piping Plover it is, then.

Wikipedia lists not ten but 41 species of plover, most of which look pretty much the same. The Saint Helena Plover is listed as critically endangered, and adopting one might facilitate the preservation of the species. The Piping Plover wins cuteness contests though.

It is more traditional. and by the way, what kind of plover? there are at least ten subspecies of plover. if you don't know, thats ok. I can quite easily identify it myself.
