I have a thing for you! At your last visit, you inquired about newly recruited kids/teens, and there was a lot of head-scratching. Well, I made a list for that! You have to do math to get how old they are in the present, 'cause I haven't figured out how to code for it, and as with any PPC list, there's no guarantee something hasn't been missed. Still, at least it's a place to start looking should you ever find yourself wondering about how many kids are in the Nursery. {= D

It must have been the third mission and I was counting the interlude. I remember seeing there was a four part mission, but haven't read that one yet. No spoilers. ;)

Exactly 20 more pieces than before!

The story continues indeed, and continues to degrade! I've obviously seen generic surface in my mind's eye plenty over the years, but there's something incredibly disturbing about canon characters being able to observe it, especially when it's replacing former natural wilderness . . . And the idea that it's starting to bleed into Elf Heaven has Implications, too. Are those thorns something from Middle -earth? Because all I associate thorns with is Maleficent, but that feels off.

Lharalavantariel has fallen so far out of control of the world, that she's now accidentally usurping Pippin's role as the dangerously naive comic relief character, a task no Suvian ever set out to accomplish!

Moria's orcs don't realize that their drumming in the deep is heralding far more than just a battle . . .

It's my regularly irregular "I've not checked in with the PPC for a couple of years, perhaps I'd better stick my head in and see how things are going" post.

I think this time I've only been missing for a couple of years, so I'm getting better (It was a five year gap before that) so hi to old friends and hello to the new folk who probably aren't even new folk anymore. :)

In which I take a look at the characters' native languages, which surprisingly means communaction woudln't have been too difficult even without the availability of translation devices.

I'd totally recommend Gintama to you; I guarantee it'll be one of the funniest things you've ever read/watched.

I don't know much of anything about the continuum and so can't say too much here, but giving the canons knowledge of the PPC because of how much canon breaks the fourth wall is a neat choice.

I'll say it hangs out pretty close to TOS style, although it feels like it's a bit low on what I read as explicit attempts at humor.

It worked pretty well overall, though.

It still tickles me so much people have been enjoying my book! I really wanted to lean into the sort of things I loved about urban fantasy growing up while also addressing a lot of the problems I nitpick at (like super-powerful beings needing to hide from the weak humans for... reasons?). Which isn't to say I think my book's without flaws, haha.

I'd be thrilled to read any fanfiction you might want to write; I've already got the other two books planned out so I don't think there will be any incidents if you're referring to the one I think you are. (Especially since aside from Aegis I don't think anyone will really be predicting where I'm planning to take the story so I'd be very surprised if any fics resembled it... ^^;) And with the Gloam Hunters being a worldwide organisation I left the setting wide open for people to play in if they so desired...
