Indeed, I have seen thee fight when I have envied thy behaviour. However, let it be known such, and I apologise to disrupt this council with my bluntness: I will not stand for any attempt to arbitrarily strip Baron Cassie and myself of our lands, especially not for the sake of enriching another who resides so distantly he has scarcely ever seen Ngort and Godreve himself, nor the ranches and farming villages that dot the countryside. I stand with Baron Huinesoron against your proposal and anything of the like, but also against both of you in splitting us away from Borrd and putting us under the governance of another. Surely we would be happy to use our crops to feed the Union, and to allow our lands be used as a staging area for armies riding against the Marizu, but the land east of the Larninkurvs was hard earned, and I would sooner marry a Marizu chieftess than stand for such mockery.

((Sir Ekyl is, of course, aware he is speaking somewhat out of turn, and belatedly, but as someone who has title in these lands and was referred to as the baron's deputy, he's not going to stand for not having a voice in the discussion. :P))
